The Pop Up Series
The Pop Up Series is committed to solving lack of resources through technology to communities of color. We are proposing to use technological platforms to share information via interactive programs to help educate these communities on equity, opportunities, health and safety. Bringing in subject matter experts to answer questions will not only benefit those who are in need of help, but also serve as an act of community service to those who would like to give back. This will foster an inclusive environment and help to build a stronger community.
The specific problem is lack of resources for underrepresented groups of people. We are hoping to level the playing field and create equity when it comes to knowledge pertaining to health, wellness, safety, finances, and much more. Through the use of technology communities of all kinds can be reached and take advantage of information that is shared.
The solution is to create an open platform for information share pertaining to health and wellness through hands on activity and physical fitness. We also plan to bring in subject matter experts to educate others on financial wellness and safety concerns.
This solution serves all people of all ages that are willing to learn more for their own good.
- Provide tools and opportunities for equitable access to jobs, credit, and generational wealth creation in communities of color.
The problem and solution aligns with this challenge because it is driven by creating diversity, equity, and inclusion within technology through the use of technology
- Growth: An organization with an established product, service, or business model rolled out in one or, ideally, several communities, which is poised for further growth.
The Pop Up Series is an established non-profit organization that works to promote a healthy lifestyle while having fun. That healthy lifestyle includes mental, physical, emotional, spiritual and financial health. While we focus on physical health the heaviest through dance, we are also branching out to touch on the other areas of health preciously outlined through new methods.
