Phemmer-Tech Nigeria Enterprises
1. Nigeria is one of developing countries that has disused Nylons and plastics this made it easy for us to get disused nylon and plastics as raw materials for recycling process. But due to high unemployment rate in the country (Nigeria), some youths developed interest in this project, then the company recruited them and they started to learn the process.
2. The company is into Nylon and Plastic recycling, we have many students that are learning how to recycle plastics and nylon.
3. This solution creates job opportunity for jobless youths in Nigeria and also add to their working experience.
Disused Nylons and plastics were processed in other countries too, this will make the street to be sanitized and free from dirty, because the major waste that cannot decay easily are plastics and nylons.
In Nigeria, 80% of waste we disposed is Plastics and Nylons, this has caused the environment to look dirty and inconvinent for dwellings and most times this waste blocks water ways such as water drainages which could later cause flood when its raining, this also caused health disasters by enable mosquitoes to lay their eggs in disused plastic bottles and nylons that filled with water in order to produced their siblings, which later caused malaria in households. A lot of diseases can be contact from disused contaminated plastic bottles in our environments, the scale of this problem is extremely high in our environments/communities.
Also, one of problems we are facing here in Nigeria, 33% of youth (educated and non-educated) is jobless this has made the country unstable.
All these enabled us to help some youths in recycling and also help the community by picking disused plastics and nylons in the street and companies for recycling and processing.
One of factors contributing to Dirty environment in Nigeria is poor waste management. Unlike other countries where government orientate citizens on recycling process
The company is into nylon and plastic recycling, we gather disused plastic and nylon for recycling. Importation cost of virgin plastic material is extremely high, and disused plastic and nylons are extremely cheap and affordable to process compared to imported materials.
The company based only in processing two types of nylon which are High density polyethylene and Low density polyethylene, below are the strategies and technology involved in recycling nylons.
1. Gather and separate the nylons i.e separate High density polyethylene from Low density polyethylene
2. Soak it a big bowl full of water to remove stones and sand present in it
3. Put the soaked nylons in nylon washing machine for rinsing
4. Use the crushing machine to crush the rinsed nylons
5. The crushed nylon is blown in nylon extruding machine to form desired size of packaging polyethylene.
6. The blown nylons is then print in nylon printing machine if necessary.
While in plastic processing, The plastics material is crushed in plastic crushing machine, then the crushed plastic is then processed in plastic injection machine to desired size and shape.
We make use of locally fabricated recycling machines for recycling processing
The solution to waste management (recycling) in Phemmer-Tech Nigeria Enterprise has changed and learned 10 youths since her operation started in year 2018 till day.
- Other
Waste mismanagement has caused atrocities such as flood, diseases and in Nigeria especially Ibadan Oyo state, Nigeria and 80% of these wastes are plastics and nylons which can be renew to new plastic/nylon products.
These wastes always block free movement of water in drainages and cause flood which affect 70%-80% of residence during heavy rainfall.
That's why the company started recycling project tagged "waste to wealth" this project helped many people and community because it create employment opportunity for job seekers, organized vocational skill on recycling for youths and set the community free from 70%-80% contaminated plastic bottles.
- Growth: An organization with an established product, service, or business model rolled out in one or, ideally, several communities, which is poised for further growth.
The company has started production and we have sold both crushed nylon and plastic material and also converted it to end products.
Also, the production has never stop since we have started operation because raw materials are available and easily accessible
- A new application of an existing technology
Before the company started recycling in 2018, the streets in Ibadan always littered with disused plastics and nylons during heavy rainfall. But when we started operation, we have been able to reduce the rate at which the street is been littered with nylons and plastics after rainfall, because we buy disused plastics and nylons from those people that went to fetch them.
There is reduction in the rate of flood and cholera and other diseases caused by stagnant waters and unclean environments because of high demand of disused plastics and nylons material.

1. Disused Nylons and plastics Recycling has helped the residents of community by reducing the litters in community which makes the community to look attractive and free from disease which can later affect residents.
2. It provides job opportunity for job seekers and also gives our suppliers (those that supply us disused plastics and nylons)
The company is making progress, because of high in demand. Our customers have shown interest in our products which will allow us to achieve more progress.
Those people the company taught on recycling have started their own business which allowed them to earn income to finance their households
- For-profit, including B-Corp or similar models
There are 10 workers in total
The team is competent and industrious enough to offer customers the best products, they also gather ideas and new innovation to cushion the production capacity and quality controlled of products
To reduce the rate at which the streets are been littered with nylons and plastics, we gathered group of people who are curious to learn the plastic and nylon recycling, we offered them steps and strategies involved in plastics and nylons recycling, after they were subjected to test and they pass, they moved on to start their own business in other streets where there is availability of raw material.
This enable us to diverse throughout the states in Nigeria.
- Organizations (B2B)
Our communities need help in waste management in Nigeria, because only few people know about recycling, if people are empowered on this project, the streets will be free from disused nylons and plastics including waterways and flood will be reduced in our communities during rainfall.
Also, work will be available for jobless youths who are ready to work irrespective of how dirty or tedious the work looks.
- Financial (e.g. improving accounting practices, pitching to investors)
- Public Relations (e.g. branding/marketing strategy, social and global media)
- Product / Service Distribution (e.g. expanding client base)
The company needs partners that will help her to move forward by augmenting the production capacity and also help in selling the products abroad which will uplift and enlarge production capacity.
Also, we need machines to process recycled plastics and nylons to end products which will help and boost our economy.
I will like to partner with organization that can supply us the company produced plastics and nylons material and plastic injection machine to produce plastics and nylons in mass here in Nigeria
