Solution concerning Marine Biodiversity represented in Three Monitored Shark Species by using the Tagging Technology to show the impact of Shark in the fishing operation by the illiterate Fishermen whom manipulated by the Fish Traders who gives high prices for Shark to benefit from its fins export
. The Solution will aware the Fishermen by the Shark importance as predator in the Marine food web. Considerably, this Solution will be a database in the Sudanese Red Sea Coast for different issues globally
( Shark Target as Endangered Species).
This Solution includes the Aspect of Overfishing besides Marine Biodiversity Conservation, Protection and Management. The Tagging Technology is new in Sudan so it will be started from Zero and make all the equipments available for the project and do Training for all of the Staff. Solution will continue to Survey, Monitor and Evaluate the Marine Biodiversity in the Marine Ecosystem( Halophytes, Mangroves, Sea Grasses and Algae and Coral Reefs)
Solution will use Tagging Technology to evaluate the Shark behavior and depend on these data to follow the Shark Citation, Tracking and the its Biologically Characteristics. This will be through the Sudanese Red Sea Coast for Three Years. Marine Biologists and Researchers will contribute in this Solution implementation.
Solution will serve the Fishermen as first community affected directly and the Coastal Population in its all Socio- economic issues. In the long term this Solution participate in the Marine Biodiversity Conservation and Fish Stock Assessment..
- Provide scalable and verifiable monitoring and data collection to track ecosystem conditions, such as biodiversity, carbon stocks, or productivity.
The Solution targeting population are illiterate, due to that I choose specific Graduates well trained from Alumni Faculty of Marine Sciences Association( Female & Male) in my Official Position as Secretary General with more than 700 members Graduated from Faculty of Marine Sciences and Fisheries ready to work every where in the Sudanese Red Sea Coast, Regionally or Globally.
- Prototype: A venture or organization building and testing its product, service, or business model.
Solution will save one of the Marine Biodiversity pretended at important circle of the Marine Food chain productivity and stud most of the Biological and Environmental Characteristics followed by Survey, Monitoring and Evaluation for 3years, this is the direct affection but the indirect will be the reflection of presence and absence of the surveyed Species as indicator for the Environmental situation and Marine Productivity, which lead finally to be database to know more about Fisheries Approach Ecosystem and Fish Stock Assessment.
- A new application of an existing technology
Solution will connect all of the related Governmental or non-Governmental Authorities with the Stake holders and fill the gap between the Beneficiaries and the Decision Makers by spreading awareness between the public and plan for sustainable use of the Marine Renewable Resources. The public awareness will be the cornerstone of this Solution by participating the community in the Solution application.

Solution will start with 10 persons, they will doubled each year by the end of the Solution we target to train more than 100 person in this Technology.Because we are preparing to apply the same technology in different species ( mammals, Turtles and Rays). Considerably Solution will be applied in each research we find it useful for in the Marine Ecosystem and Marine Biodiversity.
Solution will work in harmony with the followed methodologies in this field field, so they are previous experiments locally, Regionally or Globally gives Solution Strengthening to do its Evaluation and Tracking they way map in the right direction successfully without risky impacts affecting the Solution Integration and sustaining use of the Marine Resources.
- Nonprofit
Solution needs:-
Full time Staff:- 10 persons
( 5 Researchers + 5 Technicians)
Part time Staff:- 10 persons
( 5 Laboratory Technicians + 5 marine field Technicians)
Reserve Staff:- 5 persons
in cause of any absence.
solution will implemented by Marine Biologists, fresh Graduates, M. Sc and Ph. D holders all of them members in Alumni Faculty of Marine Sciences Association. This is the first time we aim to implement our dream Solution in the field successfully along the Sudanese Red Sea Coast from central point area we expect to be a reference in the Red Sea African Region Coast in the future.
The Alumni Faculty of Marine Sciences Association includes more than 300 members female. We have no gender and aspect but we prefer to have the higher percentage from qualified female according to the available statistics in most of our experiments if not all. Normally we have an Equal opportunities and we have no distinguish between female and male instead qualification.
- Organizations (B2B)
If my Solution selected I will work in collaboration with my partners and benefit from their long experience and their laboratories and equipment. Working together in harmony will lead the Marine Biodiversity and Marine Environment to be healthy and conservative by spreading the Environmental public awareness in the Coastal communities.
- Monitoring & Evaluation (e.g. collecting/using data, measuring impact)
Survey, Monitoring and Evaluation will be fixed by the Tagging Technology which requires hardware and software. But the data collection, installing and analysis will be the Scientists Mission from the Solution start up to finalization. Overlapping between the Scientific and engineering tasks will be avoided by choosing the right partner in MIT Solve.
Solution partner will be MIT Faculty which I trust it’s team abilities and qualifications to guide the Solution in the right way and rehabilitate the Solution team knowledge to request new challenge and success in the Mission of the Solution implementation. The MIT Faculty will make the qualification opportunities available to our team Scholarships( M.Sc and Ph.D) and internships( Capacity Building).

Tagging Technology Solution as one of the Biodiversity conservation methodologies, is related to give indication for overfishing and database for Fish Stock Assessment. Also all Marine Ecosystems (Halophytes, Mangroves, Sea Grasses and Algae and Coral Reefs) must be studied and evaluated.
- Yes, I wish to apply for this prize
Solution which I have selected is one of the Resilient Ecosystem and My Association and I are Marine Biologists, we have the ability to participate in the Marine Environment Study Survey, Monitoring and Evaluation. Marine Biodiversity conservation, Protection and Management. Accordingly the Association will be nuclear for the Sudanese Red Sea Coast Research in collaboration with MIT Faculty.
