Bakoly Green City
Deforestation and air pollution are two major issues in the countryside of Madagascar. The daily use of biogas for cooking and electricity will cause a breakthrough in the communities.
When biogas is used around the world, billions of people will enjoy better health and global warming will eventually stop.
The majority of people in my country are using either firewood or charcoal for cooking. Approximately 90 percent of the population both in town and in the countryside.
By using biogas which is produced regularly by a biodisgester, people will stop cutting trees for firewood and charcoal.
A biodigester creates biogas by transforming human and animal waste into a clean gas. Apart from getting free fuel for cooking , the population will enjoy a cleaner neighborhood because all waste will become treasure and will not anymore be wasted like before.
My team will teach the people without clean energy how to produce biogas from animal and human waste. By using biogas , they will get free energy for cooking, free electricity and fertilizers.
Charcoal and firewood are dirty fuel and not free of charge. Biogas is clean and free and prestigious fuel for cooking, too.
- Preserve and restore carbon-rich ecosystems and biodiversity hotspots, whether terrestrial, coastal, or marine.
By using biogas, people will stop gradually cutting trees. This will have a good impact on climate because there will be enough rain for the crops.
There will be less air pollution and people will have better health.
People will save money on soap and they will use less water because their hands are not dirty from charcoal and firewoods anymore.
- Growth: An organization with an established product, service, or business model rolled out in one or, ideally, several communities, which is poised for further growth.
Some communities have started producing biogas but due to the high cost many people have not yet access to this clean energy.
- A new business model or process that relies on technology to be successful
My solution is to reduce the cost of making a biodigester so that more and more people can have access to biogas and its byproducts.
When 90 percent of people in Madagascar use biogas every day, the energy market will change dramatically and current energy sellers will have to create other types renewable energy to beat the competition.
Eventually ,Madagascar might be able to package biogas and export it to other countries in the future.

Now we serve about 10,000.
After one year, it will be 200,000.
In five years, it can be over 5,000,000.
Our team will use Excel spreadsheet to keep track of all new biogas users.
We will use facebook to follow up on them by answering their questions or comments on private message or on our facebook page.
We will also create mobile apps to help new biogas users.

My team has been working on this green project since 2017 and they are fully committed to the success of our project.
My team is composed of people from different ages, genders, cultures , backgrounds and nationalities and we are united in our efforts to make a big change in our country.
Some members of my team helped me during the drafting of my first ebook and still helped so much for the second edition that will be published next month. This second edition includes hundreds of updates to the first edition.
The book is on Amazon and other online stores, it is entitled Everybody is a manager, a leader and a billionaire.
As a person who has lived in South Africa and Botswana for two years, I have been able to interact and work with people from all walk of life. I enjoy diversity and I always want to include all types of personlaities in my team.
As a manager of a training and translation company since 2009, I had the opportunity to mingle with people from dozens of countries around the world.
The lessons from the book entitled The Third Alternative, written by Stephen R Covey also helped my team as we work together.
- Organizations (B2B)
I am applying to Solve for the following reasons.
I believe that as a citizen in my country, I am accountable for the environmental issues that we face every day.
I also want to contribute to changing the lives of millions of people in my country.
Free and clean renewable energy will change the daily lives of millions of people and will create a new image of my country overseas. Hopefully, after a few years , my country will be a good example for other countries in terms of environmental protection.
With biogas, millions of people will have access to free electricity and will have better living conditions.
- Human Capital (e.g. sourcing talent, board development, etc.)
- Financial (e.g. improving accounting practices, pitching to investors)
- Public Relations (e.g. branding/marketing strategy, social and global media)
- Technology (e.g. software or hardware, web development/design, data analysis, etc.)
Machine learning and artificial intelligence can help us so much as we move forward in our project. Any assistance or materials in this field will be greatly appreciated in our team.
My team is ready to partner with almost any organization who has good reputation and who keeps working to meet the 17 Sustanaible Development Goals.
The following organizations can help us-- MIT, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, WWF , Bloomberg Philanthropies, The Rockfeller Foundation, Mc Arthur Foundation, The Nature Conservancy, The David and Lucille Packard Foundation, Patagonia, ERM Foundation, Coca Cola Foundation .
- Yes, I wish to apply for this prize
As I mentioned in my solution that my team enjoys diversity and inclusiveness, therefore we welcome refugees when they need to be in our country.
- Yes, I wish to apply for this prize
STEM education is necessary for our project because it will make easier for the people to build biodigesters. They might even be able to invent new technology in the future with equitable and more accessible education.
- Yes, I wish to apply for this prize
The use of biogas will greatly improve the quality of lives of women and girls. And we believe that women and girls play a very important role in the development of a nation.
I am fortunate to have a wife and four daughters who will make a big change in the lives of people in my country and abroad.
- Yes, I wish to apply for this prize
My team can also train people to start fish farming or pisciculture. My team has visited a few fish farms before and can train others in how to start and develop it gradually.
This training will help farmers to focus on their fish farm instead of fishing in the sea or elsewhere.
- Yes, I wish to apply for this prize
Our project is closely related to the ServiceNOw Prize, therefore we believe that we qualify.
- Yes, I wish to apply for this prize
Some members of my team has good level skills in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence and we plan to move forward and use those technologies to create a sustainable future for all.
- Yes, I wish to apply for this prize
As mentioned earlier, new technology can help us in our project and some people in our team already has skills to help us move forward in our project.
Additional help with new any and safe technology is truly welcome in our project.
