Bio Regeneration
Our project seeks to implement Cultural and Ecosystems Regeneration, using the Biodigestor Homebiogas System, in a territory of brazilian native people located in the State of São Paulo Brazil, who are an endangered minority. Our idea is to implement basic sanitation that will help regenerate a water dam ecosystem by avoiding domestic organic waste and human waste (sewer) from being disposed of in it, as well generate local economy and awareness around the regeneration of agriculture providing a prompt autonomy, hence helping the community to solve the climate and social crisis simultaneously.
Biomovement Ambiental will address the issue of water pollution and carbon mitigation through the usage of the biodigester managing the waste that would go to a landfill and a water dam, and generating cooking gas and fertilizer to regenerate the soil and local agriculture thus avoiding tones of carbon from going to the atmosphere.
Ecosystem pollution, such as, water contamination, carbon mitigation and disconnection to the cultural heritage, especially around agriculture skills, due to territorial losses and the lack of resources (money, land, information) of these endangered communities to live in today’s reality.
The village today is contaminating a water dam and the soil with sewer and waste, our solutions seek to stop this from happening.
Our solution is to implementation Homebiogas Systems called Biotoilet, which is a toilet connected to a biodigester that collects human and organic waste, converting it into clean cooking gas and liquid fertilizer, in order to solve the sanitation problem of the native indigenous village, preventing waste from being disposed in a water dam that supplies lots of houses. The system also mitigates tons of carbon emissions per year. Thus our initiative will generate significant improvements in life quality, soil recuperation and create a subsistence circular economy athwart of agriculture and local plantations with the help of the natural fertilizer.
The population we are working with is brazilian native indigenous villages that are currently endangered due to lack of resources, job opportunities, society interactions and territory expropriation therefore the loss of national environmental reserves. The solution will bring basic sanitation, life quality and awareness around local agriculture, providing resources and ways to improve their skills to manage their subsistence towards regenerating the environment.
Is valid to say, they cook on a wood stove, in very precarious conditions, that inflicts lots of problems among them, such as, smoke intoxication resulting in respiratory diseases and also the many hours of hard labor to collect that wood, which can result in body injuries. The Homebiogas digester will help solve these matters.
- Create scalable economic opportunities for local communities, including fishing, timber, tourism, and regenerative agriculture, that are aligned with thriving and biodiverse ecosystems
Improving degraded ecosystems conditions, such as, water and soil recuperation and preventing carbon emissions, while helping endangered communities to regenerate their local culture and economy is very much aligned with this challenge. We are providing a well designed solution that improves both environmental and social issues.
- Growth: An organization with an established product, service, or business model rolled out in one or, ideally, several communities, which is poised for further growth.
Because we are present in some villages in Brazil with a successful approach, bringing significant life improvements within the Native Territories :
Gwyra Pepó, (1 Biotoilet System) Located in the city of Tapiraí State of São Paulo.
Itaendy, (1 Biotoilet System) Located in the city of Jaraguá State of São Paulo.
Kuray Rexakan (2 Biotoilet System) Located in the state of São Paulo - Countryside.
Happening right now in partnership with the NGO WORLD DOCTORS the acquisition and assemble of 25 Biotoilets to 6 villages in the same territory, located in the (neighbourhood) city of Jaraguá state of São Paulo. The following names of the villages are: Ity, Pyau, Itawera, Itaendy, Itakupe and Ivy Porã.
- A new application of an existing technology
Our solution is innovating by utilizing a unique system (Homebiogas - worldwide patented) designed to bring clean energy and basic sanitation, through the conversion of human and organic waste - prevented from being disposed of in a water dam - into to valuable cooking gas and liquid fertilizer in poor brazillian communities. One system also mitigates 8 tons of carbon per year.
We are innovating by the generation of a green economy, giving this minority proper access to creating an income through permaculture activities; and job opportunities to local individuals who will assemble, operate and maintain the systems for a specific amount of time’s worth paid salary.
The Biodigester technology is a mechanism starting to be used all around aiming the replacement of limited resources as fossil fuels and diminishing the degradation of the environment in order to treat and harness organic waste for better utilisation. The portability of the Homebiogas is helping to enhance the welfare of riverside and indigenous communities in Brazil and has reached five hundred places already. The Biomovement staff visit these sites explaining and capacitating local people about the function of the equipment. Their job is to daily feed the biodigestor and collaborate to a better world for the next generations.

Currently - around 400 are being benefited with a similar solution as listed above.
In addition to this number, in one year - this project will contemplate a whole village of 80 people called Tekoa Guyrapaju located in São Paulo Brazil, and lots of people indirectly due to the cleaning of the water dam that serves as a water resource to hundreds of thousands of people in the city of São Paulo, Brazil. In 5 years we will bring basic sanitation and ecosystem regeneration to all brazilian native villages in the national territory of Brazil.
In 5 years - we want to be able to bring basic sanitation and a “green economy” to all brazilian native villages and territories.
Each one of our systems have an online monitoring through Georeferencing, followed periodically, via our support department and a network of more than 100 resellers/partners, that connect our workers to all consumers and track their satisfaction, solving occurrences as needed.
We are measuring over the following indicators: (taking into account the implementation of 3 Homebiogas systems, we would like to install more if possible)
Carbon Mitigation: 24 tonnes per year
Organic waste prevented form disposed in a landfill: 10,95 tonnes per year
Generation of Bio Fertilizer: 10.950 Liters per year
Generation of Biogas: 7.665 hours per year
Impacting 20 families 80 people directly
- For-profit, including B-Corp or similar models

Our solution is to implement The Biodigester technology which is a mechanism starting to be used all around aiming the replacement of limited resources as fossil fuels and diminishing the degradation of the environment through the carbon mitigation preventing this waste to generate carbon in landfills, in order to treat and harness organic waste for better utilisation. The portability of the Homebiogas is helping to enhance the welfare of riverside and indigenous communities in Brazil and has reached five hundred places already. Our product is disruptive because it combines the transformation of organic and human-animal solid waste in biogás and biofertilizer, consequently, avoiding a massive discharge of any type of organic waste in the soil, saving it from contamination of ground waters, since the human waste carries more than 50 types of contagious diseases. Furthermore, given that this equipment is highly compact, it has the power to access remote and hidden communities across Brazil, providing clean energy throughout an off grid, no building site equipment which is still scalable and fully recyclable. Not to mention, its maintenance should be done only one time in every five years and its life expectancy should be at least 15 years, and promotes carbon mitigation. A transformative project that could contribute with a colossal reduction of infected citizens in Brazil, enhancing their quality of life, promoting a zero-waste circular economy using only natural resources and therefore fostering a decrease of federal investment in public health.
