Weather resistant conservation
Problem currently reflects the turning point of climate changes when global temperatures rise above 1.5 degrees Celsius. Drastic weather changes such as the sudden drop to freezing point in Texas, followed by torrential rains and flash floods. In California, the rising temperatures causing the fire season in 2019-2020, and an ongoing drought that is threatening to become more permanent.
The unexpected change in temperatures has reduced the generation and distribution of power that requires the installation of a more resilient power supply and grid distribution.
Solution: Improve mitigation response using Nature based solutions. Adoption of energy efficient behavior (mostly daytime work). Improve water management, perhaps with agriculture, restoration of local ecosystems to help replenish underground water basins. Save our oceans and preservation of atmospheric air compositions. Conservation of Energy can be coupled with nature based solutions. Development of eco friendly organic compounds to fulfill present coal and fossil fuel energy requirements. Adoption of some renewable energy sources. New or modification of current power sources can be better stabilized to allow power distribution in a more predictable environment.
Climate change is seen with more damaging rains, drought, or snow. Globally affecting population areas with droughts, floods, hurricanes, and monsoons.
Factors such as burning of fossil fuels, and overexploitation of natural resources contribute to the problem of unexpected extreme weather conditions.
Solution is related to conservation of natural resources, restoration of local ecosystems, agriculture and cultivation of local native plants. Mainly thru water management, limited use to conserve resources.
Energy focus on saving energy and limiting burning of fossil fuel. Using more eco friendly energy sources. Use during daytime.
Limit, save, reuse and recycle or clean recycling compounds: fossil fuel by products such as plastics, electronics, construction debris, paper, scrape metals, glass, ceramics and other materials.
Perhaps use high pressure and low temperatures to limit combustion when repurposing or recycling to more useful components.
Plastic is solid, coal is solid, crude oil is very thick almost semi solid. Some technology have made plastic into oil to be reused. Plastic or other solid organic compound may be repurposed to another solid perhaps by high pressure minimum ambient temperatures. But fuel that is not completely burned in engines have accumulated in air for many years. It might be possible to extract the unburned fuel along with many other pollutants by inverse cold fractioning of the distillery components using CO2 as a solvent from air using high pressure and very low temperatures. Different components may be extracted or condensed according to the freezing or condensation points. Though these recycling technology sites are located on land, it is still not possible to recycle components littering the sea. Requiring constant cleanup and removal of recycling components to land sites. Conservation of the sea may help clean the water and the air above.
Large population can benefit. Help create food sources, economic security (by saving energy and resources), mitigate large natural disaster caused by climate change.
- Aggregate local projects to enable access to financial capital for ecosystem services such as natural hazard mitigation, water quality, and carbon storage.
Local demographics depend on water sources, for sustenance, agriculture, consumption.
Coal and fossil fuels energy source extraction and power generation may damage the environment and eventually populations that depend on them. Development of eco friendly fuel and energy sources can mitigate the effects of ongoing global warming.
Nature based solutions can provide sustenance, clean the environment, and improve livelihood.
Restored ecosystems can provide pandemic security in preventing the spread of diseases if populations are also able to mitigate natural disasters and are well provided.
- Concept: An idea being explored for its feasibility to build a product, service, or business model based on that idea.
This is an idea since, coupling of energy conservation and nature restoration may not have been widely practiced since priorities of different governments may not emphasize nature protection if there are also economic factors competing with the needs of certain demographics.
- A new application of an existing technology
Following UN 2021 theme of protecting the environment, prevent pandemics, and protect biodiversity; it is important to consider the financial value of including conservation efforts in implementing any technology for health, agriculture, or energy production.
Resilient ecosystems may help local economies thrive, communities that are more healthy and functional, farming and agriculture that can coexist with local wild life and ecosystem, and implement infrastructure that use materials that conserve the forests and watersheds.
The overall market may benefit more people who are in need of capital investment for a more balanced well and fit society that include nature conservation efforts, save energy, food, and financial resources.

Indigenous and refugee communities impart valuable experience and cultural knowledge of harmonious lifestyles that may contribute to finding and making social bonds to help in forging activities to help with the overall wellness of the people, society and the surroundings. The Andan prize can be used to fund the refugee inclusion in well balanced communities to share food, housing, jobs, and local natural environments.
