SuccessHub by ScholarX provides access to Education financing, Training and Innovative Technology to remote and hard to reach communities.

ScholarX is a social impact startup that enables African youth access to an equitable education through various education financing solutions regardless of their Socio-economic background. We currently have three products, a scholarship aggregator mobile/web app which has over 15k local and foreign targeted scholarships, a micro-scholarship crowdfunding platform called Village that helps connect local students who need help with tuition funding and sponsors and SuccessHub which helps teachers and students gain access to cutting edge technology and funding.
Our mission is to improve the Education system in Africa by increasing the chances of getting a good education, by training, empowering and molding the teachers and leaders in the school Eco-system.
SuccessHub provides a physical presence for students and teachers alike in the most remote and hard to reach areas where basic internet capabilities are almost non existent. SuccessHub provides access to VR technology, training, Funding and everyday internet access to Educators and students alike. The aim of SuccessHub is to give low income areas access to the basic technological innovations that would be unknown and inaccessible otherwise.

SuccessHub by ScholarX is the first of its kind in Nigeria and it is poised to bridge the gap between low income families and access to Educational Finance, Training and Technological Innovations. It is a new solution for ScholarX to further our social impact in the most in-need communities in  Africa

SuccessHub brings the most needed physical presence to hard to reach communities. Each hub are to be equipped with Virtual Reality devices, computers, computing machines, online, offline training and new innovative EdTech.

Why VR? It is an innovative tool that makes learning fun and easy. We have learned that training and empowering Teachers in these communities through VR has played a major part in making them more accessible to educating their pupils in a less conventional way. VR has been a barrier breaker as it shows them a different way of learning which transforms their thinking and teaching methodology.

We hope to have launched at least 5 more SuccessHubs in remote and hard to reach areas around South-West Nigeria in the next 12months. This would enable us reach and help a lot more Teachers and Students who would otherwise be in the dark about the opportunities and initiatives available. l

ScholarX has a 5 year goal to become a Pan-African platform that promotes human capital growth in Africa by developing different products for youth between 18-24.

4. To become major stakeholders in the education sector in Africa and influence education policy at the grassroots and National level

Aside from the easy access from anywhere in the world using our mobile app and website, ScholarX would build strategic partnerships with up and coming Education startups in Africa. These partnerships are to make access to the communities easy and cost effective.

SuccessHub is bound to grow because it brings the Online Offline. We plan on reaching as many Communities as we can afford. So as to further the Educational impact.

Secondary school, university students and Teachers use ScholarX, we already have close to 30000 registered users. Various stakeholders in Africa looking to make an impact  use our product to donate to students seeking educational scholarship, and we have over 200 sponsors and strategic partners who engage us to manage scholarship funds.

We tackle the problem of lack of funds for education for school-age students, by creating this platform where they can meet donors to help sponsor their education.

We are always looking for innovative ways to get scholarships, funds,funding and training easily accessible to our users and donors

We hope to have impacted at least 200,000 more people through our SuccessHub in 12months and in 3 years 1million people. Since the Launch of our 1st Hub in June 2018 we have reached over 200 schools in the area and successfully Trained over 30 teachers.

We would be helping them gain easy access to scholarships, innovative technology, Education Funding, Training and all educational needs. 

The effects of our impact in the areas are to be almost instantaneous with the help of field officers who live in the areas to go and engage schools in the environs.

The team consists of a Business manager with over 8 years experience in working with global consulting firms, A Computer engineer with 9years experience, a lawyer with 7years working experience,  2 web developers with a combined 10 years experience , a programs manager with almost 10years field experience and A business analyst with 5 years industry experience. Also we engage field workers who are indigines and live in the communities to run and manage the SuccessHub.

This combined experience has positioned the team to be forward thinking about the impact of ScholarX 

Our business model centers around:Subscription, admin fees (village - Crowdfunding), strategic partnerships (B2B), training/workshops (SuccessHub), scholarship management services and ad sales

From our crowdfunding platform alone, we have raised over $10,000 and our scholarship management system has generated over $5000 in revenue. Our SuccessHub is poised to generate over $8000 in the next year.

Our long term goal is to generate funds for over 3million students in Africa through our solutions and innovations with management fees, the sky is the limit. And if we hit this target, we can see revenue growth to $5 - 10 million a year for the next 5 years

In participating in Solve, we hope to generate more investment to create economic opportunities through our Education financing platform that provides underprivileged students with the opportunity to reach their potentials.  We hope that the program will serve as a support system for our organization in terms of providing information, resources and feedback loop for our business growth.

Domain Expertise (education) - developing content that will improve success rate/outcomes has been a challenge for us and we believe Solve can help by introducing us to experts in this field who could potential join in different capacities

Market Penetration - a big part of our strategy is to test our product in new markets, but we lack the reach and resources to make this happen. We believe we can leverage Solve's established relationships in the education space to launch in other sub-saharan markets.
