Start teaching young kids about sustainability and its impact in the world, since a young age. Integrate it in the school plan.

I believe that learning about sustainability is the first step to start the change for a more greener world. If kids start to learn about sustainability and how they can change their habits and attitudes towards the environment, they will be more self conscious in the future and the change won't be as radical in theirs lives as it is right now for us. People do not manage well change, but the world needs a big change. if schools start to implement sustainability as a main course, kids will gain knowledge for the future. Moreover, in college, a project to work with an ngo or a social enterprise shoudl be integrated. This way students can put in practice the knowledge they have been studying for and help society at the same time.

What specific problem are you solving?

Lack of knowledge in society about sustainability, climate change and environmental problems.

Education is the key for the gap that society faces nowadays in wanting to increase sustainability but at the same time not wanting to change their habits and routines.

If they are taught since a young age, their habits are already sustainable and the change won't be that drastic

What is your solution?

Sustainable Education. That is my solution. Incorporating in schools courses about environment, global problems, sustainability...

This way, kids grow with the right routine and habits and are aware of the world problems. I feel that nowadays most of the people do not care or are not aware of climate change. it is a problem that should be address as soon as possible and the world as we live right now should be changed completely.

If we have the right pillar since the beginning and we know how impactful our actions can be, we are more open to create solutions and face the problems.

Moreover, in college, masters, phd should be integrated a project to work with an ngo or a social enterprise in a the specific area of study and this way apply the knowledge that students have been learning. contributing to society while studying is a great way to start making an impact.

Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?

target population are the students around the world. the future of planet earth.

students right now are lacking the knowledge on how to address global problems and more importantly, understanding those global problems. by providing an education in this matter students will gain the crucial tools to be better citizens and implement wise and smart solutions in the places they work in

Create scalable economic opportunities for local communities, including fishing, timber, tourism, and regenerative agriculture, that are aligned with thriving and biodiverse ecosystems

Help local communities by giving students the knowledge to do it and in the future develop it. also by giving student the opportunity to work with local communities and help them create business opportunities.
