Empowering Shelves
Donate books, change lives
Empowering Shelves is a platform that seeks to bridge the gap in Nigeria's educational sector. We intend to do this by donating books, creating supportive reading environment as well as volunteer ICT teaching programs in schools which is geared at increasing capacity development for teachers and educators while increasing involvement in ICT development in line with the United Nation's goal of ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promotion of lifelong learning opportunities for all.
We believe teachers and educators have the right to access tools that will sustainably create an enabling environment for sound teaching at all levels. Also, with increased access to relevant textbooks, students can get steps closer to finding their pathway to success.
Our aim is to provide accessible educational materials to schools in Nigeria, while creating an awareness on the importance of books, a healthy reading habit and it's contribution to quality education.
- Supportive ecosystems for educators
- Personalized teaching, especially in disadvantaged communities

With inadequate facilities, lack of qualified teachers and unstable government policies, the educational system in Nigeria is in such a deplorable state.
