Fight Against Climate Change
Due to the global problem of climate change WBE, (Wave Blue Energy) is a project in which our main objective is to combat climate change which works through a WEC (Wave Energy Converter), which is a floating device in charge of receiving (in first instance) the movement of the waves and therefore convert the energy of the waves of the sea into an electricity generation technology.
We are aligned with the following objectives:
· The UN Sustainable Development Goal 7 aligned with world-class institutional policies
· Kyoto Protocol (2005-2013)
· Paris Agreement
· 2030 Agenda
We are solving the main effects of climate change world wide.
The effects that scientists predicted in the past to emerge from global climate change are happening now: loss of sea ice, accelerating sea level rise, and more intense heat waves.
Global climate change already has observable effects on the environment.
Glaciers have shrunk, ice on rivers and lakes is melting prematurely, habitats of plants andanimals have changed, and trees bloom earlier.
Due to global problem of climate change, WaveBlue Energy is a project in which our principalgoal is to COMBAT CLIMATE WARMING (or climate change) which is reflected in the oceans andthe atmosphere mainly caused by the emission of greenhouse gases emitted by human activities.
Scientists are very confident that global temperatures will rise in the coming decades, largely dueto greenhouse gases produced by human activities.
The Intergovernmental Panel on ClimateChange (IPCC), which includes more than 1,300 scientists from the United States and othercountries, predicts a temperature rise of 2.5 to 10 degrees Fahrenheit during the next century.
According to theIPCC, the scope of the effects of climate change in the regions will vary overtime, as well as with the mitigation and adaptation capacity to change of the different
We are going to help the environment, producing the energy, converting the power of the waves of the sea, into an electricity Generation technology with a Wave Energy Converter, using thetechnology of buoyant bodies activated by waves on the coast of Baja California for its technical development, it will be conformed as follows:
The study area has been delimited on the coast of Baja California in the state of Colima, likewise the maritime climate has been found with the data closest to the area of interest through a statistical analysis in the last forty years (IIUNAM, 2015). The wave conditions have been propagated towards the coast to determine the most energetic zones, from which one will be selected to determine the conditions to which the Wave Energy Converter (WEC) will be subjected, it is a wave energy converter device, the wave it breaks into the device and this in turn with the mechanism converts the kinetic energy of the waves to electrical energy.
WEC technology is constantly growing, sharing the related principle in terms of operation between existing devices until now, however, it has been detected that the existing patents worldwide are completely different from the one developed in WBE.
The solution that we propose benefits the environment and the society world wide.
First we are going to start Locally, then we will be able to share and scale world wide, copying our business model to be succed.
1. Prioritize that energy solutions supply energy to health centers and first response teams.
2. Keeping vulnerable consumers connected.
3. Increase the production of reliable, uninterrupted and sufficient energy in preparation for a more sustainable economic recovery.
Principal Vulnerable Groups:
·Children and adolescents
· Women ·Indigenous
·Migrants
·Older adults
·People with disability
At present, the scientific community observes with concern the climate change originating from the concentrations of greenhouse gases (CGHG), emitted by human activities. As the population advances both in size and in industrial development, these gases have progressively increased. Some of the effects of climate change are: the global increase in temperature on earth, rising sea levels, increased extreme weather events, floods, droughts, storms, among others. (IDEAM, 2007)
Around two thirds of global greenhouse gas emissions are linked to the burning of fossil fuels for the production of heating, electricity, transport and industry (EEA, 2017). The creation of electrical energy has a great impact on climate change. Under this concern, global efforts and commitments were created to mitigate polluting emissions and guarantee a sustainable future, among them are:
·Kyoto Protocol
Paris Agreement
Agenda2030
Therefore, one of the alternatives to combat climate change is the generation of electricity with free energy from the burning of fossil fuels. For this reason, the WBE project was created whose objective is to potentiate clean energies through a hybrid wave energy generator system on the coast of Baja California in Mexico.
- Provide scalable and verifiable monitoring and data collection to track ecosystem conditions, such as biodiversity, carbon stocks, or productivity.
The main effects of climate change:
·The change will continue to occur during this century and also later
·Temperatures will continue to rise
·The frost-free season (and the growing season) will be extended
·Changes in precipitation patterns
·More droughts and heat waves
·Hurricanes will be stronger and more intense
·Sea level will rise 1 to 4 feet by 2100
·The Arctic is likely to run out of ice
The effects that scientists predicted in the past to emerge from global climate change arehappening now: loss of sea ice, accelerating sea level rise, and more intense heat waves.
- Prototype: A venture or organization building and testing its product, service, or business model.
We are located between level 2 and 3 of the technological readiness levels (TRL).
With the support of prototype stage we will be entering level 4 of TRL, in pilot stage we will reach the end of stage 5-6 then we will be interested in participate in the Next Grouth stage to be prepared to start at level 7 and to reach level 9 we will be prepared to receive support from Escale stage.
- A new business model or process that relies on technology to be successful
Our unique solution is that we are the only 24/7 energy generators.
We don´t need from the sun or the wind to mitigate climate change, provide electrical safety and encourage environmental culture through the development and research of sustainable marine technology.
Our vision is to be the first Mexican technology to generate BLUE electricity through the construction and implementation of a hybrid wave power generation system.

Actually we are starting with our innovation.
In one year we can provide electricity to main communities of the vulnerable groups in Baja California, and year to year we are going to gowth in order to make a profitable solution, selling the energy to the main gobernamental company electricity.
I don´t want to mention quantity of people because we are not precisely yet in numbers,
From the list of 17 indicators associated with the UN Sustainable Development Goals we are align with 3 of them, (7, 9 and 13).
7 th as we ensure FREE access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all we get the 9th offering them dign jobs and building resilient infrastructure promoting inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation helping combat climate change.

Our main objective is that can we benefit the marginalized vulnerable groups starting in our country to people who live with less than $ 2 USD per day, in this way we can replicate the model and scale it to be able to benefit the millions of people belonging to the poorest vulnerable groups in the world.
Being an Innovation and with the focus of improving people's living conditions, it will create alternative solutions and automatically generate resources that will be invested so that it can be used, applied and focused in many developing countries as well as in countries of the 1st world, with these resources. it can change lives and benefit vulnerable groups who do not have access to electricity.
According to data from the National Council for the Evaluation of Social Development Policy (Coneval) coneval.org.mx, 16.8% of the population in Mexico (21,000,000 million people) lives in extreme poverty.
With the intention of being able to bring our technology to the main vulnerable groups of people worldwide, we have an explotation plan to make our project profitable and sustainable.
For this, the following strategies were considered as sources of income:
1. Sale of electrical energy
2. Marketing of the WBE device.
3. Training and certifications.
4. Sale of Environmental Regulations.
5.Sale of Energy Regulations.
Based on the above, we will be able to teach how to do it, to be able to replicate our aid model and turn it into a source of jobs and help for the most disadvantaged globally.
- Government (B2G)
We strongly believe that for our innovative solution to successfully kick off the grant we are going to receive it will have to be a lost fund.
The risk at this time is not finding financial support, that is why we want to participate in as many solutions or stages as MIT has.
As I mentioned before, we will start with a project in which we can support people with limited resources, continuing with the sale of energy to the main company that belongs to the mexican government, ending with the stage of being able to replicate our model world wide.
Our main ally is CEMIE Oceano, which is the Wave Energy Research Center of the Engineering Institute of UNAM, one of the best universities in Latin America and one of the most active in technology and research with which we have been working since 2015 , uniting the history and skills necessary to leverage the partnerships necessary to succeed and overcome the challenges that innovations at scale bring.
We believe that unity is strength.
