RESTOR BORA MILESTONE

The solution is restoring forest ecosystem, forests and trees provide us with clean air and water and they're essential in capturing large amounts of climate heating carbon and are home to most Earth's biodiversity. Trees supply food. I.e the local fruit trees and also fodder for animals, fuel and not to forget, globally, they support the livelihoods of billions of people. Planting trees and growing them will help in providing a stable climate, clean breathable air, supplies of water, food. Natural ecosystems like forests, for instance, are important for our mental health,and restoring forests is done by returning trees to formerly forested areas, also planting in a garden,by practicing agroforestry, across a landscape or the whole country.We all have the power and knowledge to reverse the harmful biodiversity and restore the Earth,planting trees will really help combat climate change. Plant trees! Plant trees! Plant trees! 

Problem is that remaining forests are degraded by human beings through actions like logging, firewood cutting, pollution and invasive pests, people in the local communities are not well informed, they look on their personal gain and lack knowledge on the importance of biodiversity conservation. Forests support the livelihoods of billions of people hence they face intense pressure from our rising population and hunger striking people, hunger for land and resources. You find that, every year nearly three million hectares of forests are lost in Africa, 65% of land in Africa is affected by degradation this is according to Word Resource Institute Statistics. Restoring the biodiversity is a massive challenge but the change begins with ourselves because we have the power and knowledge to reverse the harmful biodiversity and restore the Earth and RESTOR BORA aims at restoring forest ecosystem because planting trees is a hugely and simple restoration activity with vast benefits and delicious incentives. 

Restoration of forest ecosystem by planting trees, returning trees to places where they had been cut, formerly forested area, improving the condition of degraded forests by planting and growing trees in farms, gardens by agroforestry, in vast landscapes to the whole country,where its not just a matter of planting but watering them, protect them until they grow, considering what tree species are planted where, selective planting to revitalize a forest degraded by overharvesting. Like in kenya, there are seedballs where one throws them, and they grow especially in rainy season, setting up tree nurseries also works in conducting a tree planting drive. 

The solution involves the youth, the young people champion change, since they find creative ways to change the world just as the unprecedented challenges of today are, so do the opportunities for change and thats why is important includingnthe youth in restoration projects, the youth help alot in planting trees since they got the energy and can actively champion for ecosystem restoration by practicing, planting local fruit trees and growing them, whereby the fruits will be source of food,source of income, and other delicious incentives, this will address the problem of unemployment, as they'll the fruits have economic value, planting trees will help in providing a stable climate, clean breathable air, supplies of water, and natural ecosystems like forests for instance, are important for our mental health hence it'll reduce the danger of mental illness and other diseases like  respiratory illness. 

Planting trees is a hugely and a simple restoration activity since the only capital needed is for getting the seedlings and seedballs, and some little effort in protecting the trees and ensuring they grow and since the youth champion change, they are better in restoring the biodiversity, though its a massive challenge, but we the youth can, and since we are at an existential crossroads, we have to secure our childrens future, and therefore act urgently so as to prevent biodiversity, climate and environmental collapse, as the nature's warning signs are wanting, restoring forest ecosystem will also mean restoring estoring the biodiversity, also it'll address the food security crisis,we as the youth will act accordingly, to ensure there's a stable climate, clean breathable air, clean supply of water, food and protection from disaster and diseases for a better living in this planet, there is no other planet that we will run to apart from planet Earth, we must take good care of our planet. 

I selected that stage because it's the restoration initiative,and  i am a young environmental enthusiast championing change, and it's time to act with and for nature, partnering with students from my education institution and other institutions,people from my community, other communities, and the whole country at large even globally. It's all about taking transformative actions towards repairing the fabric of life on Earth. 

Restoring forest ecosystem by planting trees is a simple restoration activity that involves less capital to start and it can be done to a large extent. It's a lifetime solution with vast benefits, interms of stabalizing climate, rainfall check and other benefits.
