Restoration of carbon rich ecosystem.
Poor waste management and wanton cutting down of trees due to high demand for charcoal is at a very high Risk in Malawi. Involvement of the public and communities and provision of incentives to the communities will reduce ecosystem and carbon sink's areas. The use of paper Briquettes instead of charcoal will create a great room for people to plant more trees hence reducing global warming and ecosystem devastation. Provision of incentives to women such as village savings loan's will also reduce the high demand for charcoal hence building more ecosystem areas. Open defecation has also contributed to unsafe water for aquatic plants and animals this will be reduced by building slabs for different communities hence making toilets safe to use. Home gardens will also be encouraged hence reducing poor farming practices.
The increase in charcoal use has also increased hence increasing run-off and heavy floods.
About 85% of Malawian families are using charcoal at their daily disposal. This has not left behind some wetlands and watershed destroyed hence disturbing the ecosystem. Another contributing factor is poverty at large.
Many people can't survive without selling charcoal and timber products.
Opening up village forest protection committee will help to solve this problem. In addition to that, women are to be included in the project by providing incentives and benefits for them and giving them positions hence taking part in the project. Afforestation and reforestation is another great way to achieve the success criteria.
Awareness campaigns is another key for ecosystem replacement whereby important information and messages on the importance of environmental protection will be addressed to different communities including different stakeholders.
The solution will save a great purpose in the way that many communities will have food security since the ecosystem will be balanced within 5 years period.
With the provision of village savings loan's groups men and women including girls and boys will create financial stability hence achieving the project goals.
Waste management trainings will help them to receive free concrete slabs hence safety toilets use.
The use of paper Briquettes making has also contributed to ecosystem replacement hence people are using locally available materials than wood hence reducing challenges that comes with climate change.
- Provide scalable and verifiable monitoring and data collection to track ecosystem conditions, such as biodiversity, carbon stocks, or productivity.
The target audience or beneficiaries are aligned to both the challenge in the way that there's equal participation for all regardless of gender and culture and political interference.
- Growth: An organization with an established product, service, or business model rolled out in one or, ideally, several communities, which is poised for further growth.
The use of paper Briquettes and rice husk stoves are being used on daily basis. Group village Nazinomwe people are using paper Briquettes for cooking hence reducing wanton cutting down of trees.
550 households are using paper Briquettes and we believe that by the end of 2021 there will be an increase in the use of paper Briquettes hence conserving the ecosystem.
- A new business model or process that relies on technology to be successful
Waste management is a crucial component in the world and Youth for Change is using locally available materials to combat such challenges hence innovative. It's a strange work in malawi where one is engaged in converting agricultural wastes into briquettes.

Currently we are serving 550 families and by five years our target is more than 10,000 families
By inclusion of women in challenging positions. Hence gender equality.
Reducing poverty by creating more jobs
- Nonprofit
We have 25 team leaders including women and girls.
We have 15 full time members who are working everyday on the business project while the remaining ten are part time workers.
We have a well established team such as well trained personnel in different positions such as monitoring and evaluation officer to see and check each step and progress of the project. In addition, our organisation has some expert individuals in environmental protection hence easy to address challenges Which comes with environment.
Inclusion of women in critical positions .
The team is tiresely working for a great change and to bring great and valuable results for the project goals and objectives.
- Individual consumers or stakeholders (B2C)
This application is meant to help in building the capacity to come up with great solutions to mitigate the challenges ecosystem is facing at large.
This Prize will solve climate change challenges hence meeting the project goals and objectives.

Often times poor monitoring and evaluation processes. This area need to be tackled with care in order to achieve the success criteria.
Some accounting documents are not written well and this will help us to work out some issues attached to this.
I would love to partner with solve members for a proper direction and guidance within the project progress. This will indeed help us to advance the project goals.

Refugees are people too and they have the right to take part in the country they're.
We have a lot of refugees who are not attended to and they have great potential to transform our different communities.
Some of them have solutions towards development especially in developing countries but it's pathetic they're ignored. We wish to take part in such a chance.

Over fishing ? is a critical role in Malawi.
Using fine fishing nets is also another challenging situation in Malawi.
This is also another way to apply since people will be trained how to use good methods of fishing hence balancing the ecosystem.
Many human wastes are dumped into water bodies which is really dangerous to aquatic plants and animals including fish.
Please include us in the project.

Yes we will be happy to be supported on this project as well because the making of paper Briquettes involves decarbonisation which reduces global warming as well.
This will make the earth a better place to work and live.

we have poor and low resources to address challenges and problems faced by people in our communities e.g health, social and environmental challenges.
The funding will be used to address these concerns and this will advance our solution by providing us with enough resources to meet the demand.

poor facilities to effectively solve climate change, and poverty elimination ways are poor in Malawi and Africa, poor education and teaching and learning materials are not enough Which has resulted into high ilitalate levels in Malawi. In addition, most of girls do not attend school during menstruation period due to lack of access to information and affordability in buying such products.
We will use the fund's in training a solid team which will be engaged in supporting women in village savings loan's hence aliviating poverty.
