VEDAMO Virtual Classroom is a live online teaching platform focused on K-12 schools. The platform allows teachers to conduct highly interactive online sessions and make learning an engaging experience.
Digital era kids have a very short attention span of about 35 sec. During the Covid-19 crisis, they need to spend 5-6 hours in front of a computer watching the teacher’s presentation.
42% of students in the USA indicated staying motivated was a major problem for them when learning online, according to Educationdata.org.
When it comes to an online lesson it’s not enough to have only a video and audioconferencing connection. To keep students engaged teachers need to involve them in the process. Students need to be active participants by writing, drawing, create different projects, and group activities together as in a traditional classroom.
72% of the students report that they feel more motivated in lessons with interactions and gamification. It’s easier if they are learning by doing.
VEDAMO Virtual Classroom was created to promote equal access to quality and engaging learning experiences for a larger number of people across the world. Since its creation, the platform has been used in a series of social initiatives to support children in hospitals, school drop-outs and refugees with free online classes.
VEDAMO is a web-based interactive Virtual Classroom Platform with tools for gamification, classroom management, and lesson preparation. It replicates the feeling of a traditional classroom.
To make learning more engaging, the platform has a rich set of features like collaborative online whiteboard, breakout rooms, media player, screen sharing, etc.
To ensure a smooth teaching process, VEDAMO offers tools for classroom management and monitoring (distraction reporting, control for participant actions, etc).
Our main target groups are K12 teachers and indirectly K12 students.
To learn more about their needs we organize webinars and surveys. After each sessions the platform automatically send a short survey to all participants in the lesson. Through the feedback from students and teachers we improve the platform and implement new features.

The problem on which we are working is to increase the engagement of students when learning online. It is really important for students to feel part of the learning process. VEDAMO allows peer interaction through working in pairs and small groups in breakout rooms as well as through the personal chat option. The archives after the sessions allows parents to monitor their children progress and to support them.

VEDAMO is used by schools, universities, and vocational training providers worldwide. 1/3 of our customers are US based, but we have a good presence in Western Europe (mostly the UK and Germany) and Middle East.

VEDAMO was created by a team which brings together the expertise of software engineers and educational specialists. Our core team are former teachers, and we understand intuitively and professionally the needs of both tutors and students.
