Project Clouds
Statistics show that only a third of the Latino community in the United States of America can speak English. Only 1% of Brazil's population can speak English. Unfortunately, statics prove the lack of English education inside Latin America and the lack of inclusion of immigrants that come from Latin American countries. Our project wants to impact those Latino lives and possibly change those statistics. We want to include Latinos in an English-speaking society and give them opportunities within developed countries for many purposes especially academic. We strongly believe that we can impact these people's lives through qualified free English education. We will help them achieve fluency through different methods while seeking academic and professional opportunities.
As we punctuated before, only a third of immigrants that come to the US speak English. Argentina only has 6% of English speakers. Brazil only has 5% of English speakers that can barely communicate. We want to help solve the lack of investment and inequality when it comes to English education. As studies show, the lack of investment made by Latin American governments is huge and needs to change. Furthermore, the problem with the English education inside the US for Latin immigrants and the lack of inclusion is also a problem we want to help solve. By teaching English, we are giving opportunities in the job market and also helping give opportunities for students and many more. We are certain that we will help non-English speakers achieve fluency and reach their best versions.
Our project will teach English to Latin American people. The project was designed by Latinos that understand the struggle of learning English in an incapacitated environment and that had the opportunity to learn English. We will teach this language in many diversified ways and we are going to touch on several matters to help insert themselves in an English-speaking society. We want to build an app and a website for the project, unfortunately, we still don't have the funding to do so. The whole project will be online so that we can reach different people around the world.
Our target population is low-income Latinos that want to learn English for many purposes. As we said before, there is a huge gap in English education and we want to fill the gap and help our community. We understand their needs as we have been through similar struggles as Latinos. The whole concept of the project is inclusion and the project will focus more on the student's progress. The solution will address their needs by helping them enter into colleges, the job market, and have opportunities that require English. We are designing courses on English proficiency tests and we will have several workshops on colleges and job opportunities due to English.
- Increase the engagement of learners in remote, hybrid, and physical environments, including strategies and tools for parental support, peer interaction, and guided independent work.
We want to include the Latino community in an equitable society by teaching them English and helping them achieve some sort of equity with their peers when it comes to academic opportunities. We also want to help them engage with English speakers and have more chances of succeeding in an unequal academic and professional environment for non-English speakers.
- Prototype: A venture or organization building and testing its product, service, or business model.
We are still recruiting teachers and people to help build the project. We are planning on launching the project in September. We are studying more teaching methods and developing our material.
- A new business model or process that relies on technology to be successful
Our project is going to implement different aspects of language learning focusing on the progress of each student. The learning process will include technology and ludic ways of learning. The project was designed by teenagers, we have never seen a project that includes Latin America as a whole that has been created by young people. Another innovation is the app that we are planning on building. We are also going to do events on opportunities and create an English proficiency test prep course.

Our solution will serve the population of Latin American countries and immigrants that are non-English speakers. Our solution will serve for many years due to the lack of investment into English education, which will probably not change in some decades.
- Nonprofit
Abou 12, but we are recruiting new members.
Our teachers are being trained, most of them have acquired English proficiency certificates. Our design teams have done some courses. All of our members are Latin American, so we do understand the problem that we want to solve. We have to bear in mind that this project was built by teenagers, so most of us do not have formal education regarding design. marketing and many more.
We are paying a lot of attention in regards to diversity. Right now, all of our team members are Latin American including Jewish, Japanese, and other ethnic backgrounds.

- Yes, I wish to apply for this prize
Our teaching method is focused on the progress of our students. The classes will be for the most part in English and with ludic and different teaching methods. We believe that only with inclusion, the students can thrive within an English-speaking classroom.

To promote integration within refugees in English-speaking countries, language is the key. Language unites people and gives them opportunities for several purposes. Furthermore, we strongly believe that our project will help refugees to search for academic and professional opportunities so that they can thrive in an English-speaking environment.
