Soma Smart

The Soma Smart App was designed to allow students access study materials regardless of time, and location. With Soma Smart, the students won't need to worry about walking to school or even waiting for the lockdown to be lifted  (if such a pandemic ever occurs again) for  them to interact with their peers as well as tutors.

Soma Smart operates in this wise: the application has online libraries where students can access notes, though the literature can't be printed or downloaded, but can be read offline  (with the exception of those which we have acquired copyrights in case of partnerships or purchase). There are lectures in real-time , though student is free to record and attend later on: with that comes with the possibility to download the lecture notes and as well upload assignments.

With the App, we will engage as many students as possible cheaply.

In my country, Kenya, most pupils drop out of school because they lack finances to take them through school. That aside, some resort to learn in schools with little or no infrastructure at all set for education.

With Soma Smart, the students will have the luxury to be in contact with the best tutors as well as the best books from our library. 

This means that the 15million students who never  had the chance to attend school due financial constraints can smile again for this is cheaper and most efficient and effective in the sense that only the best tutors are assigned within the program and that cuts across foreveryone. It will be now upon the students to accept to work hard and maximise on the opportunity provided. With the help of our remote labs, they will be able to interact physically with other students, if needs be

An online platform where students of every background can access and learn with no restrictions at all.

Students meet tutors in real time through the App, which means they're assessed and graded too in real time.  The students can access our online library too. 

For one to be a member, they will have to register with us by providing proper documentations identifying them meticulously, for both the students and the tutors 

It also works with groups, where an individual can set up a remote lab, in partnership with us to allow for access with a large number of students who can't afford to own a gadget to be used for learning. In such centres, we will supply necessary equipment to facilitate learning.

Our application is designed for students who for a reason or another can't access quality education. Reasons can vary from finances, to scarcity of learning centres to assessment passmarks. 

I always believe that one's abilities should be tested by a single test but rather accumulative assessments through the stage of study, and that's what we offer our learners.

In addition to that, we provide resources of learning for every student equally, as long as they can access our programmes either individually (on gadgets) or through our satellite labs.

So far it is from these undermined students that made us come up with these solutions accumulatively on a single application to answer to their needs.

For those who live in areas where there's poor internet connectivity, here's where we will put to  test our satellite labs.

Most students from 'harsh' backgrounds never get the chance to attend school and get quality education. With Soma Smart, we make this a problem of the past by bringing tutors, libraries and other students to their homes by the use of technology. In addition to that we guarantee every student quality and interactive e-learning as possible, through the satellite labs.

Concept: we are still at the initial stages where we have been reaching out to stakeholders of similar interest and burden to join hands with us in making the whole project a reality.

We  believe in building on the older founding blocks of technology and that's why we're coming in to broaden the impacts of online learning.

Not only do we just connect the students with other students and tutors, but also with a library and other learning materials they will need through their interactive time with us, either through our satellite labs or directly.
