Class Composer
Creating positive learning environments in elementary schools.
1. The decision-making process of where to place elementary students into classes for the next academic year is currently done using paper. This cumbersome process causes inequitable classes due to the large amount of data to consider and time constraints on educators. This process is critical since elementary students are rarely switched from classes once the school year begins. Elementary students receive the vast majority of their instruction from their assigned classroom teacher. If a class is unbalanced (too many challenging behavior students, too many struggling readers, etc.) this inequity lasts the whole school year.
2. Our program streamlines this process with the results being improved equity and a more positive learning environment for students and teachers.
3. The foundation of any elementary classroom across the world is the composition of students. When schools use our program they have a much better chance to create positive classroom learning environments which increases student engagement and teacher effectiveness.
Our tool allows teachers to be more effective advocates for where their kids end up next year. The process relies on teacher input that considers the whole child: behavior, work skills, social emotional considerations, and placement decisions. Oftentimes, the best intentions of teachers to do the right thing by their students can get lost in the enormous amount of data to consider when using paper. This is where our technology can make a real difference.
- Supportive ecosystems for educators
Our product was inspired by the manual paper-based process most elementary schools use today to create classes. Our Student Card, Student Cell, and Digital Data Wall features have a very familiar look and feel to our users.
Our value goes beyond creating class lists. We offer an innovative way for elementary schools to visualize and act on student data more effectively throughout the school year with our Digital Data Wall.
Our solution is a technology based SaaS product that teachers and administrators access through the internet. Our product relies on artificial intelligence to sort students into equitable classes.
