I have a design for a product that preserves art and artifacts without the damaging effects of oxygen (oxidation), UV light damage, bug infestations, air pollution, and and moisture that can be used by any collector or small, underfunded, organization.

What specific problem are you solving?

There are thousands of small historical collections and individual collectors who can't afford enclosures like those used in our Library of Congress or National Archives.

I have a solution to this economic shortfall that I have developed over the last 8 years. I was a custom picture framer for about 30 years and have continued to pursue this challenge after I saw a USMC pocket damaged by an IED. I had a cousin who was a similar victim in 2006.

I have done market research with conservators and picture framers in North America to determine that there is a need. It is priced about the same as custom framing; but, affords more protection.

What is your solution?

The best example of this enclosure is the display of our "Charters of Freedom" on display in the National Archives. Documents are displayed under UV filtering glass in inert gas that prevents the contents from oxidation and reduces the effects of fading.

The basic science is from the food industry effort to preserve food.

I have designed a D-I-Y kit made from metal and glass that will accomplish basically the same thing. I also have a custom "professional version".

All that has to be done is insert the item that you want to preserve with a sachet of absorbers. The glazing is placed over the package that has a gasket and it is held together with a metal extrusion that acts as a clamp. A decorative picture frame can be placed over the sealed package.

The project design will enable to display artifacts in a hermetically sealed controlled conditions as well as where appropriate conditions are not available. It can be transported via land, air or sea with the internal conditions being relatively stable.

As a person who is not a millennium I need a better way of communication with them.

I also need assistance with finding seed money from individuals who know that the preservation of history is all about. To those investors that I have met with, I do not fit their realm of software development for the masses, climate change and green energy, or eco waste.

The inability to preserve history for future generations is a waste of what has happened before. We all learn from what has been taught us by our family, community, and other surroundings.

I have a tool that can bring physical "things" to the young (and old alike) that does not have the impact on their minds of a picture on a computer screen.

There are many refugees that have skills that can be utilized by my organization vs only being able to find a low paying job.
