Ecopedagogical tours FUNCENER
Currently there is a lack of deepening on issues of sustainability, adaptation and mitigation to climate change and generation of personal carbon footprint in primary school children of district educational institutions, for this reason, we offer the service of eco-pedagogical tours through the FUNcener Bioclimatic building, focused on the thematic axes of Renewable Energy, Agroecology and Organic Agriculture, Bioconstruction (bioclimatic architecture) and Ecopedagogy, achieving a positive impact and pedagogical strengthening with this project to district educational institutions and homes of each of the participants, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and personal carbon footprint, thus generating an environmental awareness that benefits the environment and future generations.
The activities and practices that we develop daily generate a personal carbon footprint, which negatively impacts the environment by generating greenhouse gas emissions, in Bogota there have been approximately 96,000 cases of respiratory diseases due to air pollution in the last 7 years; therefore we need to strengthen the teaching of practices in sustainability and mitigation of personal carbon footprint to generate an environmental energy culture within homes and educational institutions to strengthen knowledge about appropriate techniques and technologies towards the care and use of natural resources, with emphasis on energy efficiency, renewable energy and good consumption practices.
Raise awareness through face-to-face and virtual eco-pedagogical tours, on the importance of energy efficiency, renewable energy and good consumption practices in homes and industries for adaptation and mitigation of climate change. The above focused on primary school children belonging to district educational institutions in the city of Bogota, in order to strengthen the pedagogy and knowledge within the institution and children's homes, on the topics described.
The face-to-face and virtual tour has a duration of 3 hours with an in-depth workshop, it also includes the logistics for the transmission, digital recording of the event, and the generation of a didactic booklet, which will be sent to the educational institution so that it can share it with the students and courses it wishes. This will allow a greater reach of the public participating in the event.
The above generates actions aimed at the Sustainable Development Goal SDG 13, Climate Action, and more specifically in target 13.3 Improve education, awareness and human and institutional capacity for climate change mitigation and adaptation.
The eco-pedagogical tours are aimed at primary school children (1 - 14 years) of district educational institutions in the city of Bogota, this population is mostly of limited economic resources, therefore by promoting energy efficiency in their daily lives can generate economic savings in water bills, electricity and natural gas. After offering the service, a survey was conducted to find out the satisfaction with the eco-pedagogical tours service, so we can continue improving the service and thus reach more target audience.

Through the service of eco-pedagogical tours, primary school children from district educational institutions in Bogota are trained, the service is provided in person and virtually, making a live broadcast of the event and a recording of it, this recording will be sent later to the educational institution along with a didactic booklet with the topics seen during the tour, thus supporting teachers in teaching on issues of sustainability, mitigation and adaptation to climate change.

The eco-pedagogical tours have been taking place since 2017 in the FUNcener bioclimatic building, where more than 1800 people and more than 20 educational institutions have been trained. Currently there is a vision of growth to be able to train more than 3000 children in person and virtually per year, generating environmental awareness to more homes and educational institutions.

The FUNcener eco-pedagogical tour, both face-to-face and virtual, takes place in the FUNcener bioclimatic building where technologies and experiences of good environmental energy practices are applied, allowing the participants to interact with a specialized guide and with the different systems of renewable energies and efficient use of natural resources applied in a sustainable building; the service also includes the logistics for the digital transmission of the event and the generation of a didactic booklet, these will be sent to the educational institution to be shared with other students, in addition to allowing a greater number of participants to the event, it would strengthen the pedagogy inside the educational institutions in practices in sustainability, adaptation and mitigation of climate change.

Currently more than 1800 people have been trained, in one year we expect to train more than 3000 children virtually and in person, in five years we expect to train more than 10000 children and impact their homes and district educational institutions.
In order to measure the impact generated by the project, there are three indicators: the first is the number (#) of people trained, including the teachers of the educational institution accompanying the children; the second impact metric is the percentage of district educational institutions that are in agreement with FUNcener to take the service; and finally, the perception of the district educational institutions on the execution of the service is measured by means of a satisfaction survey.
In addition, we were able to measure our progress against the following SDGs:

This project requires a full-time coordinator and administrative assistant, four specialized guides and a part-time administrative assistant.
The coordinator is a professional in engineering with environmental specialization and experience in project implementation, the administrative assistant is a professional in business administration, the specialized guides have extensive experience and knowledge in the systems that are implemented in the bioclimatic building, knowing in depth how the whole building works to be able to explain to each of the participants.
Our team focuses on having a respectful treatment among all its members and with the participants of the event, in this way we achieve an inclusion of all ways of thinking, contributing enriching ideas for the project. The objective of the organization is that all members and participants can learn from each other generating new experiences.

This project is expected to have a positive impact and strengthen more district educational institutions, elementary school children and the next generations of the country's capital on sustainability and climate change issues; to achieve this it is necessary to obtain more resources that will allow us to provide a more optimal and comprehensive service to the target audience.

Financial support is required to improve the service of eco-pedagogical tours and reach more children and institutions, support is also required to improve the audiovisual equipment that will allow us to present the virtual transmission and recording of the event with higher quality, it is also necessary a web design that allows us not only to present a didactic booklet, but to create an interactive platform where teachers can be supported in the development of classes with topics of environmental energy sustainability and provide all the information to most of the educational institution that has an agreement with FUNcener.
We would like to partner with organizations that are interested in environmental protection and climate change mitigation to create joint actions, strengthen the project and expand the location of impact.

The main objective of the FUNcener eco-pedagogical tours is to bring a message of environmental energy sustainability to primary school children of district educational institutions, with replication in their homes and institutions, through the execution of this service we are contributing to create sustainable communities in Bogota. With the help of this award we can positively impact more communities, and extend our project to more institutions in Colombia, and in the long term, present the initiative in different parts of the world.
