Few would argue that the state of our education system has plenty of room for improvement. However, developing a plan to take schools in the right direction is easier said than done. The first challenge lies in identifying underlying problems keeping students from learning today in which they lies around parent engagement, classroom size, poor technology and workload on teachers. Thus, SchoolTry Software as a Service solves all these problems in a product (Web and Mobile Application) by automating major activities such as grade computation, assignment management, virtual classroom, computer based test system, communication medium among stakeholders, financial management, stundent attendance tracking system etc. of which these features involves parent and students participations.

SchoolTry provides hybrid learning that is, both remote learning and physical class. This functionalites provides solution to all system of learning globally and fit all education system due to its dynamic relation system.

What specific problem are you solving?

SchoolTry aims to solve the problem of poor educational technology in Africa education system. This problem has given birth to many problems in Africa education such as parent engagement, workload on teachers, lack of adaptability during natural disaster or crises such Covid-19, Ebola outbreak, rioting period etc. According to UNESCO, as of March 2021, close to half the world’s students are out of school worldwide due to partial or full school closures linked to the coronavirus pandemic. Also, less than 10% of schools are connected to the Internet across many lower-income countries such as Africa. (The Learning Generation, Executive summary, p. 8).

Furtermore, By 2030, countries must recruit 69 millions reachers to provide every child with primary and secondary education: 24.4 million primary school teachers and 44.4 million secondary school teachers.

What is your solution?

SchoolTry povides solution by developing unified product/software on both web and mobile application which has school administrators, teachers, parents and students as the end users whereby all their roles and responsibilities are in-built into the system and allows dynamism and customization. That is, every school can define their respective model of education. SchoolTry Software as a Service reduces the workload of teachers by automating their activites such as marking exams, report computation, taking attendance, tracking assignment, communicating with parents and aide in focusing on the teaching which is their main duty. Parents are engaged in their ward's performance by giving notifications and abiltiy to participate in child's development on daily basis. SchoolTry Embraces hybrid education (Remote and Physical Class), and provides artificial intelligence and management system which helps the school administrator in decision making and management. All these goals are achievable with features of the product such as:

SchoolTry product/software is basicly improving the educational technology in Africa system of education in both K-12 and tertiary education by providing 21st century quality EdTech Solution which digitalizes and automates school activities. Many African countries schools lack presence of quality educational technology, operate on unnecessary paperworks, only deliver knowledge to students through physical class and found it difficult to sustain and maintain standard during crises and natural distruptions, parents get the progress report only at the end the term/semester, jampacked teachers and administrators with excess workload and affect their primary roles and responsibility.

SchoolTry is moving forward with the innovation and trying to enhance lives, promoting self-esteem by delivering future-ready products, constantly push the limitations of technology and innovation because we believe there is no end for us. It’s a life-long process for us and innovation is inevitable. We try to encourage learning and development globally to increase the prosperity and knowledge in our community. The problem we're addressing says schools are distrupted during crises and natural disaster such as coronavirus pandemic, inequality in accessing education and young learners are not endowed with skills and competencies that can sustain them in 21st century. SchoolTry developed a solution that digitalizes education and embraces remote and hybrid education. We provide technology that automates school activites and accessible to everyone by providing the technology in both web and mobile application. The product doesnot segregate types of user which makes it global problem solver. Meanwhile, it is targetted toward Africa inorder to create quality, safe and equitable learning environment

SchoolTry AB is a stable company which has EdTech product called SchoolTry. The product currently has over 250 schools, over 31,000 students, over 6500 teachers and above 17,000 parents as its users. We have active users from three (3) African countries: NIgeria, Ghana and Cameroon. So far, SchoolTry has adopted a stable business model which is B2B2C. We are looking forward to grow and dominate in our community and become leading EdTech provider in Africa.
