Bright Achievers School
BRIGHT ACHIEVERS SCHOOL firstly aims to give hope to the downtrodden, instill the willpower in student to achieve their dreams no matter what their present state dictates. It would interest to know that prior to the establishment of BAS, only a handful of the pupils attended school be it primary and secondary school respectively. A good majority of those who struggled to attend school several miles from their miles dropped out of school due to paucity of funds to continue their education. With the commencement of BAS, there has been a remarkable increase in literacy amongst the younger inhabitants of the area, even the grown-ups provide accessible and good education at their doorstep at no cost. This helps to reduce to a certain degree, the unsettling statistics of children that cannot afford to have education – a trend commonest in certain parts of Less developed countries of the world.
Since its inception in 2018, BRIGHT ACHIEVERS’ SCHOOL has provided unmatched educational values within the Isale-Akoka area (a slum settlement) within the Bariga environs. To some degrees, the prevalent child labour and prostitution has been addressed because these children from very poor homes, are given a new lease of life and higher level of hope to see beyond their present state. As part of its resolve to change the statuo-quo of inaccessibility to basic good primary and secondary education in the area prior to its establishment, BAS has increased the awareness that helps to demystify certain myths about education. More than just the bricks and walls, the school is a citadel of community development and personal skills rejuvenation – a place where the books are taught, skills are learnt and proper orientation are inculcated in these children from very poor homes.
In a bid to salvage the vulnerable children from these homes who live below the poverty line, BRIGHT ACHIEVERS SCHOOL offers wide range of theoretical and practical teaching skills that is carefully deployed with well-trained teachers, dedicated volunteers and other state-of-the-arts educational instruction materials in building the intellectual base of every student of the school.

The establishment of the BRIGHT ACHIEVERS SCHOOL, an extension of several community development projects engaged by the
FOOTPRINTS OF DAVID ARTS FOUNDATION in the last decade. The school echoes the heart of the foundation’s modus operandi which ranks amongst other factors the need to raise the standard of living of as many as possible, create a pragmatic educational system for the downtrodden, help youths through skills acquisition programmes and sundry projects. The challenge
of inaccessibility to education or sub-standard education in the area is one
that is alarming, hence the need to give the children/teens a new lease of life
- Growth: An organization with an established product, service, or business model rolled out in one or, ideally, several communities, which is poised for further growth.
The choice of Growth stage is defined by the level of our current operation, the ability to significantly engage in community developmental projects as a means to greater ends of progress in all undertakings. BRIGHT ACHIEVERS SCHOOL has proven to be a tested ground for providing quality education for the children of the Isale Akoka area of Bariga. However, there a lot to be done – a fact that shows the difference between our initial projections and the need to upscale our operations in meeting the challenges of admitting more students into the fold.
- A new application of an existing technology
The FOOTPRINTS OF DAVID ARTS FOUNDATION which is the mother organization of BRIGHT ACHIEVERS SCHOOL has always engaged in other socially conscious developmental projects aimed at alleviating the sufferings in the Bariga community. Beginning with the Arts Academy in which over 1,000 students were admitted, trained and in some cases, given scholarships to study from primary to secondary school gives a background into what inspired the inception of the Bright Achievers School. There is so much poverty, reduced standard of living, lack of proper education and increased social vices in the community. The founding of Bright Achievers School, helps to take off the street, potential recruits into the horrendous activities of the underworld. Some of the youths who have gone astray, are offered and trained in vocational skills either in photography or fashion in our different vocational schools called BARIGA PHOTO SCHOOL and BARIGA FASHION SCHOOL respectively.
By so doing, crime rates are abased and quality education is giving to the students who would have thought that they cannot have such in their lifetime.
