The Congolese population is 105 million inhabitants and 60 percent of this population is made up of six young people under the age of 20 (Wikipedia), our solution links the fight against dropping out of school by putting tutors in touch; schools; parents and pupils in contact, in particular by using geographic information systems. We allow students in science and polytechnics to be mentors this allows them to have a source of financial income in order to continue their studies; for parents to save money and students to perform well in school and reduce the impact of Covid19 on learning which will cost more than 10 trillion dollars in life for our globalizing world (World Bank). Globally we will make a more inclusive World with a better labour force.

We provide geospacial information to schools, parents, students and local authorities to allow safe access to schools in the city of Lubumbashi and their neirbohooh.

From March 2020, as part of its efforts to contain the pandemic of
COVID-19, the government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has decided to close
national schools, depriving more than 27 million children of access to education. The schools of the
DRC first reopened in October 2020, before closing again after two months in response to a
second wave of the COVID-19 epidemic. Following the advocacy efforts of national organizations and
international organizations working in the DRC, the government reopened schools and universities on February 22
2021 (https://www.unicef.org/drcongo...). This further increased social inequalities and condemned millions of children to remain in the poverty trap.

The DRC is the largest country in Sub-Saharan Africa with 2,344,858 km2 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...), without the help of major global educational institutions such as MIT (https://www-mit-edu.ezproxyberklee.flo.org/about/) and other institutions fighting against social inequalities such as the United Nations, the country will be an epicenter of instability and destabilization of all of Africa given its central position and these world-class mineral resources.

Our ngo is a humanitarian organization and we have worked with the nations united in the mission to stabilize the Congo and we have reached more than 200,000 people in 2018 with USAID.

We are in the process of testing this service in schools in Lubumbashi, in particular in the commune of Rwashi in a school which has more than 1000 students, and in other communes as well.

It's innovative in the sense that it allows students, schools and parents to be connected to geospatial information, this makes it possible to map and have an updated database. which is non-existent and causes the abandonment of studies.

More or less 1,000 people, in one year we could reach 10,000 people and in 5 years, 100,000 to 1,000,000 people if we have intellectual support and an international network.

A team of 25 people, members of the NGO, full-time 5 people, part-time 15 and 5 volunteer consultants who help us with consels.

Our ngo is one of the big ngo of young people in our country with an experience of several years with the united nations in the congo. we have a multidisciplinary team, with geologists, computer scientists, students etc. the team leader is a geologist, certified in sustainable development and entrepreneurship from Harvardx and Columbiax and several national and international certificates.

We have young people from different layers of the population, one of us is Mandela washington fellow and Phd Student Christelle Sukadi, we have a dynamic organization that works throughout the Congo, we are a little French-speaking however many young people open-minded and bilingual. I am applying to Solve to help my community, we want to reduce the dropout rate of students in the DRC which is due to armed conflicts, natural disasters such as the Nyiragongo volcano and also poverty which is multidimensional with the knowledge acquired from the Mooc of Mitx, Harvardx and Columbia University in sustainable development we want to be that flame of hope in our community by providing a solution based on geographic information systems.

Mit is the epicenter of technological innovation in the world, and its impact contributes to impacting thousands of daily lives, I myself am a testimonial because I learn about Edx, Mitx. This is because we want it is first of all a mentoring, a technical support to put into practice and see all the perspectives of our contribution.

Yes, insofar as this award aims for equity and technological sustainability for a more inclusive world, our solution aims to democratize geographic information systems in educational settings and thus allow millions of children around the world to have an ounce of hope and to continue studies especially in Congo, a French-speaking country, rich in mineral resources and extremely poor.
