Projecting education

The main problem that in some Colombian regions the access to education is almost impossible and during the pandemic, this condition is increasing, first, because they don´t have the resources to do and take a virtual class, and second because many of them are illiterate.

To answer this question we propose the creation of two aulas one remotely that we called "projecting education" the objective is to motivate, incentivize, and captivate the habit of education to the most quantity of kids, for this reason, we want to create a new way to take classes.

Our solution can change lives because with it everyone is going to have the opportunity to learn and enjoy a new education system, also keep this solution after the pandemic.

In some Colombian regions, access to education is almost impossible and during the pandemic, this condition is increasing, first, because they don´t have the resources to do and take a virtual class "more than 2,400,000 students in rural schools in the country, only 17 percent of them have access to the Internet and a computer, that is, approximately 408,000 children"(Mateo Chacón, 2020), and second because many of them are illiterate because of the demotivation, also "some 102,000 children and adolescents from schools and kindergartens in the country dropped out of their studies amid the covid-19 pandemic, according to figures published by the Ministry of Education."( Mateo Chacón Orduz, 2020)

The solution is based on using a vehicle which has a giant screen, in this way we can move to rural areas with greater difficulties, areas where young people have very few options to study either for reasons such as the pandemic, money or particular cases where they are not supported by their family.
Similarly, once in the area, we will adopt a social space where we can ensure the health of each of the participants, we will create campaigns in which we will emphasize the importance of studying and we will seek the support of family members on this aspect
We will create a route in which we will provide general classes on basic aspects with this we promote the participation of any person.

We focus on departments such as La Guajira, Cordoba and Bolivar, these areas have municipalities such as Uribia, Maicao, Sahagún, Lorica, Magangué that have a higher illiteracy rate.

We want the results to be seen in the future in national exams such as the "saber 3, 5, 9 and 11" tests. These tests will allow us to measure the progress that can be made in the areas of greatest influence and above all this will be a benefit for people who are with good results, since, in this way, they will be able to apply to different scholarships that offer the government to continue their studies.

Our goal is to improve the lives of the people who make up these types of communities since they are basic tools for the good life of each person. These people will have greater opportunities, within which they will be allowed to continue with professional studies, get a job that allows them to have a decent life and stop depending on someone else.

Through our solution, we seek to increase the participation of people in general and basic classes, which will allow anyone to improve their lifestyle. In addition, in each of the areas, we will be conducting campaigns where we can explain the importance of the study from an early age, in this way, we hope to have an impact on families and we seek that they provide greater support to young people.
In order that when we are visiting other places there is an influence of parents with their children when it comes to studying. We will provide relevant information to create good communication and facilitate learning processes.

We are in this stage because we are in the process of evaluating the feasibility of developing this type of vehicle, in addition, we must carry out a market study and we must develop an action plan to comply with the biosafety protocol.

We need to make a financial investment, which allows us to develop or apply existing technology to our project.
We must create a curriculum that meets the needs of the communities of interest.
In addition, we must create a learning guide that adjusts to the different levels of each one and above all, we need to create a solid campaign that motivates families or people to be part of this process.

We use an easy technology to arrive to some places that have difficult access and also have been abandoned by the government, so with our solution many children are going to have the opportunity to learn and to be more near to the nowadays technologies. 

The "projecting education" are going to have a positive impact in many comunities around Colombia, specially the once who need it because it will alphabetize through the transmition of diffrent classes in the big screen and the project also is going to allow to the parents to give to their children to have a better future and to understand the world.

Today we want to start with a small group, to see how the idea is going to work, and to know the things that we have to improve to extend our help, besides that we have to bear in mind that we are in a difficult situation. , and it is important to maintain all biosecurity measures. For this reason, we want to start working with a group of 20 to 40 children.

In a year he hopes to offer our help to a larger group of children and expand protection to a second place, with the same idea, and in this way we will be able to work with twice as many children as we started. .

The idea we want to have in five years is to motivate and encourage other people and organizations to work with us, and help improve our services to make better progress in education.

The measurement of the progress of the project would be measured through state exams (Saber 3rd, 5th, 9th tests and Icfes 11th tests) in which different weights can be performed, such as the ratio of the tests before the implementation. of this methodology in the areas where the projects are carried out also with the formations of the public and private schools of the country.

Actually, in our team, we are working 6 persons, with the accompaniment and supervision on the teacher class.

We hope that across the time we will able to grow with other members of our project, and in this way be able to help in a huge way.

At this moment we don't have experience, but we have knowledge about the innovation area and some parameters about education, with the help of some educators we are going to be able to develop this project and fulfill all the learning expectations that all the participants are waiting to comply.

We are applying to Solve because during the innovation class we were asked to create a solution for a challenge that was viable and also that helped the people to be able to have the opportunities that maybe where they live are not easy to have.

In the financial and technological, we are going to need some investors and sponsors that help us to distribute all the equipment that we need, such as the projectors, the screens and all that is required for the development of the project. The technology that we are going to need is to design a platform that is going to have all the resources that we will need to project and to do the lessons.

• We would like to work with UNICEF because they obviously know how important is education for everyone, especially the kids,  also they are trying to make sure their rights are not violated and that they live in a safe and secure place.
• We also would like to work with CINDE, they are a foundation nonprofit that is defined as a research and development center and they are looking to help the human development of the communities and also they are looking to provide a quality education for everyone, in order to be able to be in a safe place and to help all the people that live in a situation of vulnerability. 
• Also, the de Corona Foundation is looking for innovative solutions to help to solve the social problems in Colombia and is trying to find equitable solutions for the problem of education and unemployment, they are trying to improve people's quality of life through targeted education and participation.

Since The ASA Prize is about technology and digital solutions, we need the technology to be able to develop the project so we think that having this price is going to help us to provide all the implements that we need to to be able to carry out all the logistics for the project, is important to mention that also the price is looking to help students and the education, and we are trying to help the people who would like to be part of this and the way we want to help them.

The GM price is also important for us because the price is trying to help communities around the world and give them the opportunities and helps to provide education to those people who do not have access to this because they want to provide it in a secure and safe way for the people and also for them.
