Our vision is to provide a virtual learning for young students, between ages 7-16,  that is affordable and easy to use. To achieve this, we have created a somewhat offline platform for entrepreneurs to build virtual learning solutions without any coding knowledge.

This solution has cutoff the barrier of a conventional schools, costs for purchasing test and note books and  as a pay as you go solution, it has drastically reduced educational costs, in terms of school fees. Any family that has a mobile phone can register their child(ren) and receive lesson notes, take quizzes and ask questions to their teacher, when the need arises,

With about 14 million out of school children, Nigeria in 2020 was named(UNESCO) as the World Capital for out of school children. This has been caused by diverse civil strife and violence and inadequate government budgeting for education. Our solution with its current design and use stands to provide simplified educational support to students even in war zones and internally displace camps.

SchlondFONE is an ed-tech content distribution platform that enables account holders create a virtual school on any kind of phone. From the backend, a subaccount can upload their own educational content and their target audiences can receive lesson notes as text messages, take quizzes and ask their virtual teachers questions. This platform uses a blend of SMS and USSD Services. Students receive notes as text messages, they can ask questions, using SMS and take real-time quizzes using USSD.

Our platform is designed to serve students, both young and old who are interested in enhancing their academic prowess. Nigeria's about 14 million out of school children, would still remain disadvantaged unless a simplified solution such as SCHLONDFONE is deployed to provide unfetterd access to every home in Nigeria, considering our huge telephone penetration which is over 85%(GSMA). Virtually all ed-tech technology based solutions currently in Nigeria, are internet based and with the expensive costs and epileptic nature of our internet service, coupled with the costs of owning a laptop or desktop for each home.

The interest of the educationally disadvantaged does not appear to be taken care of. We have been providing publicity campaigns about our solution, whilst also giving these users free credits to enjoy our services.

Our solution has removed the need for a conventional class and put schooling on the phone, thereby creating a simplified means for educational access.

Looking at the massive number of out of school children in Nigeria, (14 million +), we have focused on a simplified solution that reduces the use of internet, purchase of expensive gadgets and not requiring huge fees. We offer a pay as you go solution, meaning the user is not tied to any extensive subscription plan.

With SCHLONDFONE, every interested user is guaranteed the opportunity to enjoy Simplified Learning. Taking quizzes directly from your phone is real-time and asking a teacher a question guarantees you a response in less than 3 minutes.

Taking into account our target audiences, we believe that the SCHLONDFONE platform has substantially addressed the problems of expensive and epileptic internet services which all online edtech solutions suffer in Nigeria and the flexible entry plan makes it easily affordable to use by everyone.

The SCHLONDFONE platform is currently focused on users within Abuja, Nigeria and we are offering a pay as you go solution. Users can load their system with a minimum of USD1.00 and can take quizzes, ask questions and receive Notes. We currently have about a growing user base of 150 people.

On SCHLONDFONE, through SMS and USSD as a transport layer, users can receive both text based and web based information. Through a shortened weblink information can be sent as pdf, voice notes, video files, word documents etc. In a situation where virtually all educational solutions are internet based and considering the epileptic nature of our internet, this negatively affects the online based solutions. Our innovative use of SMS/USSD as our transport layer to disseminate real-time information between the user and the platform, has simplified the entry opportunity for every Nigerian student. Cost is reduced, quality has not been distorted. We are confident that with more support, our solution would make a huge positive impact, especially across the developing communities across the World.
