Quest for African Leadership Institute
There should be an agency or a body that will take care of providing leadership orientation, re-orientation and education of all those in positions of leadership and all others who found themselves at the corridor of power in Africa for them to provide good leadership. So setting up an African Leadership Institute is therefore considered central for this purpose. Leadership education programs organized at the Institute is considered central to the resolution of the contradictions and crisis of development in the continent. The African leadership Institute is an ideal place to train the leaders and aspiring leaders on issues of development, etiquette of leadership and associate responsibilities.
With the help of the United Nation, African countries ought to entrench in their respective constitutions to make attendance of the institute mandatory to all political leadership aspirants, so they could be prepared for the challenge of local, state and national offices.
We believe that by training leaders at the African Leadership Institute, the horizon of their knowledge on issues and challenges of leadership common to African countries shall be imparted on them. They will become better equipped to handle such challenges in future. They will be thought about the human and material resources abundant in Africa and how they can be harnessed for the good of the people of Africa. The Institute will close a knowledge gap of all those in leadership. Many of those who found themselves in leadership position did not go through the four walls of university. Some of them who went to university did not offer management or social science courses.
There is leadership paucity in Africa and that's what we intend to solve through the Institute.
The first is to build African Leadership Institute in Africa. The second is to assemble credible men and women, think tanks and other professionals with different backgrounds to help in administering the Institute. The third is to recruit men and women in the academic world who will take up the responsibility of coming up with a curriculum and to invent special text books of interest that would be used in the Institute. They must be conversant with Africa’s politics, leadership, weak and fragile democracies, security, defense, economy, resources, poverty, religion and other challenges. Then, open the Institute for studies.
Emphasis shall be made on the importance of teaching aids in the Institute because they supply concrete basis for conceptual thinking and to make learning more permanent and as well offer real experience.
The first beneficiary shall be the poor masses in Africa who have become victims of bad leadership, dictatorship, depredation, and corrupt practices. The second beneficiary shall be the leaders themselves whose output will be increased and who shall take glory for their better performance after undergoing training at the Institute.
- Other
Most African countries are being ruled by some people who belong to the olden days who do not have access to a good education. There are other people who will still take up leadership positions in Africa without having access to higher learning experiences. The institute is designed to use innovative approach with the aid of classroom model to impart good governance knowledge to the African people.
Let's use education to change Africa.
- Concept: An idea being explored for its feasibility to build a product, service, or business model based on that idea.
It is an idea. I have documented what I mentioned here in a book entitled: TELL AFRICA. There is other information on how to run the Institute embedded in the book.
- A new business model or process that relies on technology to be successful
It is innovative because, African politicians have no place to get special leadership training because of their peculiarities. However, it is no longer enough to study political science in the university since in the political field, the person must contest with lawyers, engineers, architects, medical doctors, accountants, business men and women, and people who have by no means seen the four walls of institution of higher learning; so people with all different academic backgrounds should attend the African Leadership Institute to be able to bring a real change to Africa.
It is disturbing and perplexing that those that rule Africa are the most ignorant and greatest contributors to the social maladies that consume the people. Several efforts have been made to make Africa a better place, but nothing seems to be working, and maybe we need to go back and prepare people to be real leaders, role models and real visionaries in the Institute. We can start from the institute to change Africa to ensure a better society.

1.3 billion People of Africa
We take our calendar and plan on organizing our time around achieving all goals. Having a planner or using our iPhone is a great way to track our progress. Our wider team – our consultants – is essential in getting much of the work done. We shall work hand in hand with our team to ensure that we get our target within the time frame.

We are just five people
We have lived in Africa all our life; experienced first-hand poverty and hungers, associated with politicians, and are in a better position to talk about Africa. We are loyal servants who are open to new ideas, and are always ready to work with people of classical intelligentsia.
We have the capacity to bring leaders of thought together to share insights, opinions, and knowledge-key to providing the foundation for success of African Leadership Institute. Implementation of a project of this nature, requires a collective responsibility of people who are directly involved. We shall collaborate with governments, Agencies and other development partners.
We work with a team spirit. We run an inclusive administration. We share our common values and everybody is working for their realization. The goals of the organization are clearly spelt out.
- Government (B2G)
We appeal to Solve to accept and take this great initiative to the United Nation; share it also with International development agencies. Urge them to do this for Africa, in service to God and humanity.
- Financial (e.g. improving accounting practices, pitching to investors)
- Public Relations (e.g. branding/marketing strategy, social and global media)
We need help in selling this Institute to people that matter in the world and we will like to meet with Solve and discuss further.
We want to partner with United Nation, African Union, USAID, MIT and Solve members. Getting connection with them will help this great initiative to see the light of the day.
- Yes, I wish to apply for this prize
Coming up with this innovation for Africa is evidence that we are qualified for this prize. It is rare in our time for people in Africa to produce or come up with a new idea that have not been in existence. The ASA Prize would be used to advance education in Africa.

Christian Chukwuchebe Nwani should be encouraged and recognized for coming up with this innovation for Africa that will help to change the face of Africa. It is rare in our time for people in Africa to come up with new ideas that will help them. The GM Prize would be used to advance education in Africa, as well identify with Africans who are refugees in their own land.
