Anbtibacterial toilet seat (ATS)
People avoid siting on public toilet seats and they often cover it with
the toilet paper. One survey which involved 528 women at an ob-gyn
clinic found that 85% said they crouched over public toilets, 12%
papered the seat, only 2% sat all the way down.
Considering that Antibacterial toilet seat is solving the problem of the low
hygiene in public toilets, this innovation will reduce this problem.
Antibacterial toilet seat can kills 99.8% of the bacteria and in that
way it will reduce the possibility of infections. This innovative
product will help to anyone who uses public toilets (children,
teenagers, woman, man, older people etc.). Because it can last between 5
– 10 years it will have a long term impact. It is ideal for places
where is a big frequency of people. Using this innovation we can reduce the usage of toilet paper and strong and harmful disinfectants.
Low level of hygiene in toilets, dirty and inefficiently cleaned
toilets, particular toilet seats, represent an environment suitable for
the development of a large number of bacteria.
We did a research of public toilets and found:
- Escherichia coli,
- Shigella bacteria,
- Streptococcus,
- Staphylococcus,
which cause skin and urinary infections, vomiting, diarrhea and other.
There are some solutions to this problem that are still not effective:
Disposable one time pad - they are very thin and can be easily wetted and therefore do not have their own adequate protection function and they must be constantly procured as they can only be used once.
Strong disinfectants to clean the surface of the toilet seat – they are very expensive and they should be applied after each person who used the toilet.
Toilet seat that automatically rotates the toilet seat after each use and cleans the surface - it must be constantly replenished with disinfectants and water, nad they are too expencive.
Antibacterial toilet seat is a new patented and innovative product which destroyes 99.8% of bacteria after every use and can last between 5 – 10 years. Based on this product, a lot of other product can
be created in the future such as door handles, sockets, handles in
public transport, dish sponges, various medical equipment and other.
Because it can last between 5 – 10 years it will have a long term
impact. It is ideal for places where is a big frequency of people.
The complete technical documentation and rendering form of the innovation is done.
Testing the product – was done in 2020 with my own investments (Institute in Novi Sad did the analysis), with which the success of bacterial destruction was confirmed (can be sent upon request).
Video for Crowdfunding is recorded and edited.
Awards: Semi Grand Prize (Korea), Gold medal (Poland), Gold medal (Nigeria), Silver medal (Germany, Turkey, Croatia etc).
The beneficiaries are people who use public toilets in hospitals, cafes,
shopping centers, hotels, schools, etc (young and old people).
Our solution is ideal for places where is a big frequency of people.
Our market is really great, because our primary clients are:
- Catering facilities
- Hotels
- Shopping centers
- Public toilets
- Faculties, schools, kindergartens
Only in BiH there are:
- 11 000 catering facilities
- 900 000 households, etc.
This is only for BiH data, and when we take into account the global area which is also our goal and when considering only restaurants and cafes, for example, in China there are 3.5 M cafes and restaurants, In Japan 1M, Russia 301 000 , in France and Germany 200 000. There are 8 M hotel rooms in the EU, etc.
We conducted a survey where we have asked users in what solutions they believe. Users answered that they believe that the most effective would be an antibacterial toilet seat (72.86%), and the next one is one-time pads (6.82%).
The impact will be measured by the number of purchased antibacterial toilet seats and by conducting surveys.
- Other
The antibacterial toilet seat indirectly provides health care, because it destroys 99.8% of bacteria. Visits to public toilets as well as public toilets in hospitals, clinics, shopping malls, hotels, cafes and the like are huge. The high frequency of people is constant. We have isolated several dangerous bacteria in such places: Escherichia coli, Shigella bacteria, Streptococcus, Staphylococcus With what we have stated, the antibacterial toilet seat, among other things, is precisely involved in stopping the outbreak of the disease. It thus protects individuals, especially the elderly and people who belong to vulnerable categories and who are more prone to infections.
- Prototype: A venture or organization building and testing its product, service, or business model.
Antibacterial
toilet seat is a patented innovation and we have already tested it in
some public toilets.
Since the idea is developed in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), unfortunately there are no companies that can produce such product. After creating a business plan, it was concluded that the best solution would be a cooperation with a company that already produces toilet seats.
The complete technical documentation and rendering form of the innovation is done.

NEXT STEPS
Creating a ATS mold - which is the biggest investment. This ATS requires three molds so it can be produced.
Doing a Crowdfunding campaign – with which the first series of this product will be produced.

As I've already written, this product has shown great interest around the world.
