Mosquito control has been always global difficult challenge ,with a million deaths and 244 million hospitalized annually . Creating a huge impact on public health , and financial effects on many countries and regions worldwide.We have every year 390 million people with dengue fever with 40,000 deaths.
Gnat and midges and other attacking insects to humans and animals also get exterminated by CONOPS System .Its harmless for the rest insects and protect the bees.
For over 3 years of CONOPS System being tested, we manage to reach numbers (eliminates only attacking species from mosquitoes) more than any other current device or system can reach by the most natural and sustainable way.
The system can stop the chemical spraying for mosquitoes, reduce plastic waste and can help on climate change by replacing devices and products that are not efficient at all and only produce waste and setting lives in danger.

Building a network of CONOPS System (devices) which they are at very low cost, affordable to anyone.
CONOPS System covers up to 100 meters drastic perimeter on outdoor space and unlimited for indoor with a single device.
Same time we clear area of attacking mosquitoes ,the system collects data also from other devices, and for first time we have automatically what call on mathematics 'the floor'( minimum exist numbers) of mosquitoes activity in our area.
The IoT and the AI technology provide us several kind of weather and mosquito data from several areas. By combining the weather data we create an accurate weather (micro Klima) and mosquito forecast ,recognize the attacking species that eliminates and record them ,we get automatically report for every detail of mosquitoes activity. A counter that we have attached to the zapper every time that hits a mosquito, counts the numbers of elimination.
CONOPS System has GPS locator, temperature, humidity sensors, Wi-Fi which record the elimination and the weather data in real time, mosquito activity locally, globally or in an area you want to visit.
Most importantly it has the highest hits of any other device or system because of the 24 elements that it uses.
This project is based on a very simple idea , using humans and animals as bait because they have all the natural elements to attract only the attacking species. They are very few and (only 80 out of 3.500 species that exist) the rest are harmless and extremely necessary to the environment. They pollinate the flowers which connect them directly with the bees and they support the entire circle of wild life.
My goal is not to eliminate mosquitoes. Chemicals have been doing that for many decades which creates many other major problems like:
- Eliminating other species of insects
- Entering our food chain
- Extinguishing animals
- Poisoning water sources and toxifying the environment
We must re think what we do not see- does not exist. It is the invisible enemy and a big threat for public health , which is a financial and environmental time bomb.
My MAIN GOAL goal is sustainability ,to stop spraying chemicals all over the planet , particularly for the mosquito concern because it is very big.
To stop the 'one-use plastic' by taking off the market anti mosquito products that do not work.
Like 3 top selling categories:
- Citronella candles > 2.233 million 2nd on sales globally annually
- Wrist bands > 787 million 8th on sales globally annually
- Ultrasound devices > 517 million 12th on sales globally annually
Total > 3.537 million sales globally annually
All these 3 categories are selling products every year with a turnover over $3.5 billion. Florida university professors, who are at the top of the field for mosquito research and elimination. They demonstrate on YouTube and prove that these 3 categories are useless and we only buy waste, which is harmful to the environment and the health of people.
A study on current existing products and solutions was conducted by Dr. Michael Metaxas, who is a member of our team. He has published 3 mathematical volumes with Dr. Dimitris Bertsimas professor of MIT from Dynamic Ideas publishing, about the reproduction of the mosquito.
The results were extremely scary, every female mosquito is able to reproduce in her lifetime, which is an average of 3 months, 1,4 quadrillion of female mosquitoes. As previously mentioned, only 80 species of females are attacking humans and animals.

The importance must be stressed that CONOPS Systems uses 24 elements compared to the global market which is using only 1 element to attract mosquitoes. This is revolutionary for the global market because nothing else exists employing this many attractants for mosquitoes.
CONOPS System employs the natural elements emanating from humans and animals. These are the major attractants also known as bait for mosquitoes. They need proteins from blood for their reproduction.

Our solution serves the entire population of our planet ,since mosquitoes exist globally everywhere (except Iceland,yet ..) and according to scientist all the pradictions for the next years , because of global change which is raising temperature, is not optimistic at all .

By placing zappers on external door and window frames ,we get maximum efficiency because humans produce all the elements that attract mosquitoes.
Under the zapper we use a mosquito net to cover the remaining space, it is weighted at the bottom, so gravity closes it when we pass through and leaves no time to enter indoors. They are forced to try to reach us through the zapper, which counts their elimination.
Using AI ,IoT, weather sensors ,GPS combining the valuable data, records them monitors activity, recognizes the different species, providing accurate weather (micro Klima) and mosquito forecast.

Since our startup was born on 28th of December 2020 , we are trying to promote our project in any possible way. We currently seek funding, mentorship, promotion and team expansion.
After 3 years of testing ,we are very confident that our solution is the most efficient one in the market. Making it the most sustainable, environmental and human friendly, low cost, and easy to manufacture.
The CONOPS System is operating for 3 years in Karteros, Crete. First tests of prototypes were built on the island of Mykonos, it is called 'the island of wind', which made testing even more challenging.
The device monitors local and worldwide mosquito activity ,providing very useful data for statistics and analytics, while protecting other species of mosquitoes and insects. It eliminates only the attacking species of mosquitoes ,gnats and midges.
We are going to build 10 more Conops systems for measuruments next months.
- A new application of an existing technology
Besides the 24 elements that makes CONOPS System innovative we are actually introducing a combination of 20 new features to the market.
The most innovative part of our device is the ability to collect data regarding mosquito populations and movement. This data can then be used by government agencies to predict mosquito activity in order to protect humans and animals without damage to the environment.
We are introducing an intelligent, multi-functional, AI based/cloud eco - friendly IoT system , the first incarnation of which will be an anti-mosquito/gnat and midget control system with multiple functions. It will also collect real time data regarding its elimination abilities. It is a new category of anti mosquito and gnat device. It has been rated by the Greek patent office with a 9A patent (Maximum grade). It is the first device, globally, that uses up to 24 elements (bait) to attract and eliminate only the female of the 80 attacking species. In three years of field testing in Greece it has proven to be extremely effective, and far superior to anything else currently in the market.

Currently, we operate 3 pilot CONOPS Systems for testing, measurements and to make improvements.
Our plan with a cooperation, that we already have established, with PEGAMENTO an AI company from Netherlands which is willing to start a small scale manufacturing this year in the European Union.
The initial manufacturing plan is to build 10.000 pieces.
Mosquito control is a global problem , at the same time that we will manufacture, we are contacting funds ,health organizations ,governments in order to open collaborations for future manufacturing in different countries and continents where we have patents.
So now with the pilots we can say that we serve three small areas. Two in Greece and one in Netherlands .
For the first year we can reach the 10.000 pieces
In 5 years the sky is the limit!
Our pilots have already been delivered as I have described above.
We are currently working on the AI component which has to do with the recognition of the mosquitoes species for the CONOPS System. We are collaborating with Pegamento AI company .
From our last meeting, we are expecting to have it ready in 3 months time .

So far we have built the first version of CONOPS System. The second version, which will have the counter attached to the zapper in order to count in real time results the elimination of attacking mosquito. This will be our biggest advertisement.
Dr. M. Metaxas helped us a lot with the mathematical study he did about the reproduction of mosquitoes. He created the first mosquito calculator. This was extremely important to realize the volume of the problem and to design more features to solve one of the most challenging global problems with a practical approach.
Mr. Apostolakis a very experienced engineer. He built the circuit and wrote the code for the application which allows us to see results in real time.
Mr. Kouvelis was the first who built the first simple version. He built our website and helped with solving technical issues along the way.
Mr. Serge Poppes is also very experienced in AI technology. He is building the recognition of mosquito species into the system.
Ms. Linda Del Conte who has assisted with administrative details of the project.
Mr. Dimitrios Aslanis created the concept of the entire system in every detail including the first prototype and then filed the patent, which got the maximum grade (9A) and WIPO (World Intellectual Patent Organization) and then entered it to the GPP (Global Priority Patents).
So far our current team did excellent work on succeeding and delivering our goals. Despite most of them having their own jobs they have been working on the project during their free time.
Because the current project actually is a mega project and with a global market ,we know that we need experts on the business part to develop and open the market ,since we all are more into technical field and we are missing the business part. We need to build business models and people with business communication skills.

As we mention before mosquito nets and bed nets belonging to reppelets category,and because of the extremely high rate of reproduction which mosquitoes have , its not a solution .

Our team believes that our project is also of great benefit to women especially of child bearing age because pregnancy is one of the top baits for mosquitoes. This makes them especially vulnerable to mosquito born illnesses which are extremely dangerous to their unborn children. This leads to more burden on the community and families struggling with the results of these illnesses to their children. The CONOPS System will alleviate the situation by reducing the mosquito population especially in rural and economically challenged communities for a nominal cost.

We definitely want to participate for that prize ,since our system is the first one which recognize the 80 attacking mosquito species out of the 3,500 that exist. The application (AI) has the ability to provide information to government agencies, international organizations, research institutes, on the meteorological conditions per station / region and the species of mosquitoes that will be exterminated (date, time, geographical location and type of mosquito with visual). In this way, the conditions and movements of mosquito species will be accurately assessed, so that they can be used as data by each country to take appropriate response measures in a timely manner.
The value of that feature worldwide is tremendous for monitoring locally and globally for scientist and governments in order to stop spraying chemicals.

Because the global fund is currently and actively trying to fight malaria and our solution is addressing malaria and all diseases that mosquitoes carry we are especially qualified for this prize. With this prize we could make great progress in fulfilling our mission of eradicating disease carrying mosquitoes.
We have multiple reasons for our project including saving lives of people and animals and stopping the misery created by mosquito borne illnesses.
We are also interested in stopping the use of deadly chemicals in our environment which cause long term damage to our world.
We realize that the need for mosquito control is urgent especially due to climate change. We are beginning new deadly species in parts of the world where they didn't previously exist.
There have been varying proposals to solve this problem but they often bring other problems because of the use of chemicals in the solutions. Particularly when the solution involves consumables. This leads to a disposal problem with consumables that employ chemicals. The environment will end up further contaminated with chemicals that will pollute the surrounding environment.
