Toibibou
According to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights : “All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights”. Unfortunately, it’s not true especially in healthcare. Depending on the country, location and income of patients the quality and tools involve in curing people are not the same everywhere. Lot of doctors in Africa complains about the challenge to know patient antecedent, pathology, vaccine, availability of drug in drugstores and follow their patient.
Toibibou our project is an electronic medical record of patient which allow :
- Healthcare professional to chat or have visio consultation with their patient
- Share data between healthcare professionals: like drug availability in a drugstore, laboratory, radiology result…
To Achieve this goal, we propose 2 payments solution:
- 0€ / month for healthcare professional who can’t pay the solution
- 30€/month for healthcare professional who can pay the solution
The specific problems raised by doctors are :
Difficulty in monitoring patients over time, most patient information is in paper format , when the patient come back we have to remake another folder for the patient handle and cannot be found
What is the scale of this problem ?
Electronic medical records in Africa is one of the lowest among all the continent.
Less than 8% of healthcare structures use electronic medical records.
Factors contributing on this problem:
Low investments of state in healthcare sector ( between 1%- 5% of the GDP)
Lack of training for user
Expensive cost of installation
Lack of infrastructures (electriciy, data center …)
Our solution is Toibibou a shared SAAS electronic medical record it will allow user to have and add :
Patient history : Antecedent, pathology, treatment, vaccine , Allergy
Patient's diagnosis
Prescribed treatments and see the availability of the drug in the drugstore around
Communicate with patients
Communicate between healthcare professionals
Publish articles around prevention / disease
The tecnology Toibibou use are :
For the front end : Angular
For the back end : Node JS
DataBase : Mysql

Target Population :
The target population are doctor. They generally live in cities and have started working as doctors since 1 to 5 years .
After getting their diploma they generally start working in a hospital or healthcare center for 3-5 years. They receive at least 100 people per week and all the patient record are stored in paper . When the patient come back the time to get the piece of paper with patient report is very long and when there is an emergency some patient die before getting result of blood group / allergy ...
Some of those doctors are betwen 25 - 35 years old they use to chat with their friends /patients / co workers with what's app , facebook or instagram. They want to have a digital , cheap and secure solution to access to those data.
To understand their need we made a survey shared with them in linkedin and facebook in our pages .
Number of doctors in Africa:
According to the last number release by the work bank there is approximatively 90 849 doctors in Africa.
