Antimicrobial Air Purifier
Deaths due to poor air quality in urban and rural areas in every country has always been in concern. Along with that airborne diseases’ transmission made human beings extra worried about clean air in indoor spaces, where we spend more than 90% of our time. According to CDC and WHO, SARS CoV-2 is airborne and we have to be future ready with any other pandemic like Black fungus. AiRTH antimicrobial air purifier solve both the issues of airborne disease transmission as well as air pollution meticulously via patent filed technology from IIT Bombay. This antimicrobial air purifier can provide clean and pathogen free air in hospitals and operation wards where chances of HAI (Hospital Airborne Infections) is huge. This novel product if scaled globally, can provide real-time protection against airborne disease transmission in closed spaces where chances of getting infected is huge due to poor ventilation or medical operations
As of March 1, 2021, over 110 million confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported, and nearly 2 million people have died. This global crisis has occurred due to lack of preventive measures against airborne diseases in almost every country in the world (Ref: https://covid19.who.int/). Factors like indoor air pollution and airborne disease transmission which causes diseases like COVID-19, Ebola, H1N1 and many others can be prevented using this antimicrobial air purifier within closed spaces
This antimicrobial air purifier works on DCD (Deactivate- Capture-Deactivate) mechanism unlike other air purifiers which work only on capture mechanism, which can be a source of airborne disease transmission during its operation. In the antimicrobial air purifier, we use disinfecting lamp, ionization technology, advanced HEPA filters along with photocatalytic coatings to make this device complete antimicrobial in nature. It intakes contaminated air which goes through inflight deactivation followed by capture process and finally continuous deactivation of airborne viruses and pathogens. All these processes get performed within the device and it is completely safe to operate by any person. This works on SAVE (Sanitizer for Airborne Virus Elimination) technology which has been filed for patent with IIT Bombay
This solution serves humans from unseen viruses present in the air. It also provides peace of mind and act as a preventive measure against airborne disease transmission as well as harmful air pollutants present in indoor spaces. More specifically people who are the frontline workers during pandemics especially doctors, nurses and hospital staffs are much targeted population. These air purifiers act as preventive measure against spread of airborne disease transmission and safeguard against HAI (Hospital Airborne Infections). Data suggest that 1 out of every 25 hospitalized patients are affected by HAIs (1), i.e., approximately 4%, which is really huge when it comes to developing countries like India. Airborne infection control provides a number of challenging questions to the building ventilation community. Pathogen-laden droplets gets released, dispersed and evaporated in the room air. These dispersions interact with the room air flow, body air flow and inhalation/exhalation flows. With poor ventilation methods for homes and offices in resource-limited countries chances of getting airborne infection is really very high and that has been clearly seen during COVID-19 pandemic. It has adversely affected underserved countries.
AiRTH antimicrobial air purifiers is targeting complete community and aims to provide clean and pathogen free air through novel and patent filed SAVE (Sanitizer for Airborne Virus Elimination) technology. It provides real time and continuous protection against airborne pathogens through DCD (Deactivate-Capture- Deactivate) mechanism.

- Equip last-mile primary healthcare providers with the necessary tools and knowledge to detect disease outbreaks quickly and respond to them effectively.
As CDC and WHO have already informed us to be prepared against future disease outbreaks. This solution provides real time protection against airborne disease transmission using advanced purification system. It has integrated IoT features, artificial intelligence and machine learning to predict and forecast future outbreaks of airborne disease spread. This advanced air purification device can be installed in indoor spaces like hospitals and offices where chances of spread of airborne disease is huge in underserved countries like India. Doctors, nurses, patients and their families often get infected from HAIs (Hospital Airborne Infections) in ratio 1:25
- Pilot: An organization deploying a tested product, service, or business model in at least one community.
Ongoing pandemic has shut down many businesses where chances of spread is more due to poor ventilation, especially restaurants, offices, hospitals and banks. During this time, we developed and deployed 50+ units to these businesses which gave them a sense of protection against unseen germs and viruses. Details of it can be found out in this link:

- A new application of an existing technology
This innovation is based on a clear gap in the existing air purification technology. Existing air purifiers creates a problem of infection spread via air. Using years of experience in aerosol dynamics, we optimized air purifier design for inflight deactivation of pathogens. We also enhanced filtration efficiency using induced coulombic forces and tested the technology using scientific instruments like optical particle sizer and condensation particle counter in the inhouse laboratory. We integrated different technologies in such a way that when compared with conventional UV air purifier, disinfection efficiency can be achieved 8000 times bette

1. Currently, AiRTH is serving businesses and places were there is large number of footfalls. As we have installed for than 50 such units. Approximately, our product is serving 1000 such people.
2. In coming next year, AiRTH is focusing to deploy 1000 units. And thus, AiRTH air purifiers will serve approximately 20,000 people.
3. In next five years, AiRTH will deploy more than 10,000 units. Thus, approximately 2,00,000 people will be served with help of this air purifier.
To measure AiRTH progress towards our goals are as follows:
1. Design for Manufacturing file for design
2. GERBER file for IoT based PCB
3. AI model development and integration in air purifier
4. Efficacy and Microbial removal testing of air purifier
5. In-house R&D facility for air purifier testing
