Hubbub World
The COVID-19 pandemic has showcased the need for better collaboration between citizens, scientists, doctors and governments to identify health challenges, devise solutions and implement them.
The Hubbub Personal Health Tricorder integrates data from global genomic surveillance systems, wearable health monitors, rapid drug design and delivery mechanisms and citizen engagement into a new active response methodology for healthcare.
As our solution becomes more prevalent across geographies and health conditions, we aim to transform healthcare similar to how GPS changed navigation for, as our motto says, "A Safer World".
As the world recovers from the current Covid-19 pandemic, citizens are contending with a medical and economic infodemic that requires rapid evaluation of the personal relevance of public health and safety updates and use of new tools and techniques such as vaccine passports. While many of these tools and techniques have a short term pandemic recovery focus, the underlying data and technology could also allow for a reimagineering of how society operates and healthcare innovates.
4 Billion people today have a smartphone with >80% daily use of app-enabled workflows in advanced economies. Over the next 4 quarters as life returns to normalcy across the world, numerous "Can I do this again now?" and "How do I do this now?" questions will be part of everyday work, school, travel, dining, entertainment and family activities.
Hubbub helps users navigate this new world and extend their new learnings to more frictionless healthcare workflows in the future.
The Hubbub platform acts as a personal data aggregator and automated inference engine. The platform ingests data from personal, public, private third-party and community sources and surfaces prioritized relevant information to users in the form of relatable user experiences and metrics such as interactive social chat, automated notification alerts and passive risk monitors.
The implementation for the current pandemic includes our CoV Index (a live metric of how many contagious people you likely to pass by in the your current location), the nCV Index (a live metric of how many contagious people are in your neighborhood), the VOS Index (a live metric of the most significant SARS-Cov-2 variants in your area), a passive monitor of exposure risk, local prevalence updates and vaccine passports.
The end user experience comprises of a consumer experience and a partner experience. Anonymous aspects of the consumer experience such as the indexes are offered over the web while personalized aspects are implemented as a mobile app. Partner experience is intended for businesses.
Data is sourced from a variety of sources including CDC, HHS, GISAID (epidemiological genomics), healthdata.gov, data.gov and EPA. Processing and distribution is implemented via industry-standard HIPAA-compliant secure technology stack.
Hubbub is a personal health/productivity solution for simplifying post-pandemic life. The solution readily connects with a base that leverages social media and mobile apps for engaged users that will seed our mobile app experience.
In the personal productivity space, the public has been progressively getting acclimatized to intelligent services that track and surface relevant information on their behalf – from ID theft monitoring to Apple Watch AFib monitoring to AirTags. Hubbub will provide a similar service that distills longitudinal healthcare information across public, personal and provider domains for personal needs.
- Strengthen disease surveillance, early warning predictive systems, and other data systems to detect, slow, or halt future disease outbreaks.
Hubbub is a solution that has an immediate role in addressing return to office and school in the US and hence pandemic recovery. However, our vision is to leverage the awareness to data-driven public health management instilled by the pandemic towards a new model for global health care.
The past decade has seen the widespread adoption of Electronic Health Records and initial deployment of Personal Health Records. Hubbub intend to enable Social Health Records that can together provide a comprehensive proactive infrastructure for healthcare around the globe in future.
We are currently focused on the US market for which we have implemented our most comprehensive data model with minor coverage for foreign markets to enable international travel. In addition, we are also increasing the breadth of the data sets to include the emergence of SARS-Cov-2 variants and secondary impact from climate change that will be a significant factor in 2H21.
- Pilot: An organization deploying a tested product, service, or business model in at least one community.
We currently have an outreach presence on Twitter for brand awareness and social validation: https://twitter.com/HubbubWorl...
Our suite of COVID-19 indexes are live on our website and being provided for partners over widgets and APIs.
The mobile apps are in beta pending final tweaks prior to launch.
We are also members of the Vaccine Credential Initiative and the Good Health Pass Consortium.
More partnerships with relevant travel and event businesses are in progress.
- A new application of an existing technology
Hubbub is a new solution that integrates available public, provider and private data sets with Big Data and ML technologies for personal consumption. This project came about from efforts at modeling the early phases of the pandemic using spreadsheets and work withe US Digital Response team. These prior experiences made us realize the need for a simple personal tool that anyone could use without dedicated tools expertise or time investment.
There are many great projects for the pandemic such as the Covid Tracking Project, Covid Act Now, Bloomberg, JHU and Financial Times that showcased health data communication to the public. Hubbub evolves these initiatives into a comprehensive personalized data solution that provides the key missing social health infrastructure that the pandemic response websites highlighted.

We are currently serving our aggregate infectious diseases data through Twitter and via our website.
Shortly, we will be launching our mobile apps for personalized features targeting 100M healthtech aware mobile app users in the US market.
In 2022, we will open up to other geographic markets covering a TAM of 1 billion users and more comprehensive longitudinal integration of users' data.
Our solution has a series of personal data services that span from anonymous transactional to anonymous groups to identifiable individual to identifiable group use.
The number of unique users that these services reach and their frequency of use are the best indicators of our social impact.
The transactions volume on our enterprise solution would be the best indicator of our economic impact.

Kumar has founded multiple prior startups including an exit to Intel.
Our solution came about from our realization of gaps in pandemic-related work with USDR, Kaiser Permanente and STEMEdInnovators.
We believe our prior experience with startups, mobile apps and our network of healthcare professionals can help us realize our vision for Social Health Records and the "tricorder" app.
Our technology lead is Anitha who has grown tremendously in her skills and career as part of Hubbub. We are a small organization and intend to build a team with a well-rounded perspective.

The Hubbub Personal Health Tricorder is a perfect example of a "solution that directly addresses the health and well-being of people in the US". We are doing it today and intend to become an evermore critical part of everyone's healthcare in the US over the next couple years.
Healthcare in the US needs to evolve to preventative care and wellness as opposed to reactive solutions. We intend our Tricorder to be the means to that end, in partnership with the numerous public, provider and personal healthcare solutions that are in use.

Our Tricorder is essentially a on-device intelligence platform that infers high value signals from relevant data feeds sourced from numerous sources that are collated by our servers.
Given the enormous horizontal scale of the genomic, personal health and environmental data sources deployed and being deployed, it could not be more timely to create a personal data monitoring and alert solution that can effectively reduce the datademic to life changing information.
The Hubbub Personal Health Tricorder could be the information vaccine that provides us immunity from all future pandemics and epidemics.

Over the past couple months, we at Hubbub World collaborated with a team of top Public Health experts from hospitals and universities across the country to advise the US Global COVID Response on best utilizing our vaccine stockpile.
In April, we initially launched a public petition at change.org:
https://www.change.org/USVacci...
In May, a Open Letter to the Biden Administration was cosigned by 20 Public Health experts and played a role in the announcements from Biden on June 6th:
