Network for cause
- Communities can be better equipped to identify and respond to evolving pandemics by establishing a dedicated platform through which they can easily raise awareness of the problems and spread the message around the world.
- Network for Cause is a social networking site that aims to provide a forum for individuals and businesses to showcase their social interactions and activities. It's a network of individuals and companies dedicated to improving humanity's well-being.
- People who are interested in social causes will be able to connect across Network for Cause, which will become THE DESTINATION for others who share their interests. Since the Network for Cause's goal is to get people and organizations' philanthropic activities together in one place, there's a chance for increased philanthropic commitment and recognition of emerging pandemics.
- Problem 1: Every day, individuals and companies partake in numerous social welfare programs, but there is no designated forum where engagement can be reflected.
- Problem 2: There is no dedicated platform for liked minded people or good Samaritans to connect and extend global support for the current or upcoming pandemic crisis.
- Problem 3: There is no designated forum where, with increased motivation, fundraising initiatives and other philanthropic efforts can be significantly enhanced.
- Solution 1: The forum for users and organizations to share their social commitments can be provided by Network for cause.
- Solution 2: Network for cause will offer a channel for people who are inclined to social issues to interact and become THE DESTINATION for those like-minded people to raise awareness and discuss emerging pandemics.
- Solution 3: Since the Network for cause's mission is to bring individuals and entities' philanthropic efforts under one forum, the prospects of greater dedication to philanthropic efforts are possible.
Our target population is everyone who has an inclination to contribute to society. For example, Facebook provides a platform to connect with friends and family. LinkedIn captures a person's career path. Most of these platforms lack emotional connection with the audience. In the light of an increasing engagement in social issues, Network for cause will provide a forum to engage with friends and colleagues on philanthropic endeavours.
In general, all humanitarian aid organizations (HAO), such as Oxfam, UNICEF, Red Cross, and so on, are involved with bringing funds to social issues from individuals or organizations. As HAO in industry, they usually highlight their own contributions. Via Network for cause, we aim to emphasize the contribution of a person or organization. We provide individuals and companies with a social identity for their efforts.
Many social networks like Facebook, LinkedIn do offer updates to social causes, but they are outnumbered by daily general updates. Network for cause will encourage people and corporate interaction to share their contributions and volunteering efforts mainly to social causes.
- Prevent the spread of misinformation and inspire individuals to protect themselves and their communities, including through information campaigns and behavioral nudges.
The most important prerequisite for this challenge is to brace societies for emerging pandemics and health security, as well as to track and respond to them. The majority of existing information channels are one-sided, with a poor level of confidence or a lack of true representation of local leaders or philanthropists. Local leaders or philanthropists from around the world participating in Network for cause will empower people to engage in a constructive dialogue where they can debate and raise awareness about global pandemics and inspire them to spread the word.
- Pilot: An organization deploying a tested product, service, or business model in at least one community.
The reason I selected Pilot because we have been successful in inspiring some of the individuals and businesses to register on the platform. Most of our current user base is looking for a mobile app that will make them engage with other community members easily. We are looking to extend in some of the communities based in Ireland and India in the coming months.
- A new application of an existing technology
During the Covid 19 pandemic in India, over 20000 people approached Sonu Sood, a well-known Indian film star, for oxygen concentrators. This was one of the inquiries he got during the course of the pandemic, which continues to be active for several more years to come. Unfortunately, owing to the high number of queries, he was unable to respond to each one individually on various platforms. This obviously demonstrates how people are unable to get the help they need during a crisis. If Network for a Cause would get people like Sonu Sood together on a single forum, think how much help they might get locally if there was another crisis. Despite the fact that there are many social networking sites on the market, none of them truly rely on these particular criteria on social issues, health problems, or emerging pandemics.
