LEARNING - A TWO WAY PROCESS
BOTH STUDENT AND TEACHER LEARN. BY THIS PROCESS BOTH GET ENLIGHTENED.
1. Learning is a two way process. Teachers and students both learn. While students learn in the conventional sense, teachers learn to find more and more innovative ways of teaching.
2. Solution : The best way is to do an one-on-one informal way of teaching. Education is all about inter-personal relationship, with the sole aim, of teacher striving for the welfare of the students. Therefore the solution is one to one teaching.
a) Teach the teachers. Produce as many teachers as possible.
b) These teachers should then carry the way forward. Teach as many students as possible.
3. When both of them work with passion, new innovative methods of teaching will follow
- Teacher and educator training
- Personalized teaching, especially in disadvantaged communities
It is an old and existing process. scripted in vedic texts, long forgotten. http://greenmesg.org/stotras/v...
Technology should be used only as a teaching AID. IT cannot replace teaching it-self.
I will work on Linear Algebra, Calculus thru MITx. Get certified by them. During the process, i will develop teaching material, which is the base line of my understanding.
This is for the next 12 months.
Post the certifications, i intend to go to the STUDENTS PLACE and teach them. I will start with Chennai where i currently live and move on to other places.
- Male
- Female
- Lower
- East and Southeast Asia
As i said, it has to be one on one. I go to them
None. I am the sole person. The reason, is, i myself will have to go through the rigors of learning from MITx and more important unlearning wrong concepts, i have acquire so for. !!!!
In 3 years 50 people.
- Non-Profit
- 1
- Less than 1 year
The first issue, there is no profit motive. My teaching, if it succeeds will be free of costs. Second, as long as there is a VISION, that both students and teachers are learning in tandem, i hope to attract newer people.
As regards skills,
1. I know local Indian dialect, Tamil and Hindi.
There is no revenue model. It is just a intense passion of learning. This passion stems from the fact that i was myself indifferent towards academic in school days.
The mission is simple "GO! LEARN BY TEACHING"
1. I will certify myself in few of the MITx Courses. [I DO NOT REQUIRE ANY HELP ON THIS].
2. ACCESS to sites like MATLAB, is expensive for me at this juncture. Nor is it affordable for many indian students i am targeting. I intend to develop many teaching material using Python and Libreoffice/MS office. I may require your help in vetting the same.
3. Target students- many of them having access to computers is still a challenge. That would mean preparing additional material to cater to their specific retirements.
1. The first barrier, is certifying myself. I do not know, what role you can play. It is a challenge i need to address, myself.
2. The second barrier, which i see will manifest itself, is when i start taking my work to students. Access to MATLAB. Will cross the bridge when i come to it.
3. The third barrier, will be from SOLVE itself. This is to start with is an ONE MAN SHOW. Obviously many questions will be asked about it's feasibility.
