4D Therapy Coaching Platform

One of the major problems in mental healthcare in South Africa is that patients are often unable to see their doctors. In rural areas, this means they receive minimal psychiatric care and have low rates of recovery from illnesses such as depression or anxiety.

When it comes to providing adequate support for those suffering from a mental illness, one factor stands out above all others: accessibility. 

When people living with these conditions cannot even get close enough to an expert who can help them maintain treatment regimens- let alone actually provide quality care -the problem becomes more severe than ever before; especially when considering access only exists on paper at best within many parts of developing nations like South Africa where poverty runs rampant throughout much of its population leading to constant stressors which make dealing with their disease nearly impossible.

4D therapy is a coaching platform that will make it easier for therapists to help patients with depression and anxiety. The tool is designed to be quick and easy to use while still providing the coach with enough information to support the patient in a better way.  

The new tools offered on this integrated system allow coaches to better communicate their strategy while simultaneously providing them with access to powerful visualizations tools like VR exposure therapy or neuro linguistic programming video techniques which have long been proven in clinical studies as highly beneficial.

The solution is cloud based and totally scalable.

This solution will help us make an impact on achieving global health goals. 

Approximately 10% of people suffer from depression and more from anxiety. The youngest age of a suicide victim in South Africa was 6 years old. 

100% of people want to improve their lives and be happier. 

COVID, isolation, financial pressure have made this problem worse.

My personal motivation... In one year, the father of my son and a close friend committed suicide. I went through huge trauma and know what it feels like to be engulfed by anxiety and feel like you cannot get out. 

People need help and if the beep of a cell phone bringing them a message of hope that is relevant to them can make a difference then I will build that app. 

The coaches platform includes a web based system that allows the coach to monitor their clients. So as a client this helps you

When you look at most programs the biggest problem is accessibility and continuity of treatments or training.

The technology includes is developed on MySQL database on the cloud. Encryption is used in data transfer and proprietory API's. 

The 3D videos can work on technology as simple as google cardboard glasses. 

My target users are people needing support on a day-to-day basis. Maybe because of a stressful job, traumatic event, illness or simply that they are feeling overwhelmed or depressed.

My target customer: Anyone wanting to improve their effectiveness in treating the target user.  This could be therapists, coaches, medical aids, life insurance, hospitals for post hospitalization care and monitoring.

Depression and anxiety is often neglected in the mental health world. With the new restrictions coming from COVID isolation, depression and anxiety are growing. 

A tool that helps facilitate communication and combat depression and loneliness is needed.

We are still in BETA testing. I will be identifying a pilot test team in the next few weeks based on a market research survey I am running. 

Combination of mobile app, coaches platform and, NLP and 3D videos makes a unique combination of powerful tools to assist patient support. 

One coach or therapist would be able care for a larger number of patients with more care.

I have had depression and anxiety, I do self development all of the time.

I have not actually asked the rest of my team.

My approach is to employ the best person for the job regardless of any skin colour/disability. I would want to employ someone who is as passionate about the problems we are trying to fix.

In this way I can create the best solution. 

I will employ individuals from different cultures because I will need them and their unique skills. I need to the diversity of our land, to understand different cultures and how depression is dealt with. 

This needs to become part of my makeup.  

I am applying to Solve because I need assistance in marketing and any advice on business plan and implementation is invaluable. 

Introductions to corporates would be very valuable. 

Access to funding would be a bonus as well.

My short comings are getting the product to market. I need assistance with product strategy and introductions.  

Assistance with board development is always important since the board becomes your advisory body and represents who you are. 

I would like input on different ideas on how I could monetise the option. For example, in app adds, white label and other.

My final area I would need help is if I wanted to setup a distribution network for example selling google VR glasses. I have no experience in this. 

I would like to partner with people who have the same passion as me about solving mental health problems. To me things do not work unless there is a real passion and love for what you are doing.

I believe fruitful partnerships could be medical aids/insurance/government/mental health hospitals or therapists/coaching associations. 

Mental health is sadly ignored and I would like to work with people to bring more focus to this problem. 

My solution would easily be implemented in US and does look at a very neglected area of health. 

If I did receive money from the prize it would be used to review the real problems in the US and to try understand them better. To roll out the project in the US. This would mean training and accrediting therapists/coaches to use the tool.
