VSTELEHEALTH
VSTELEHEALTH platform is a valuable tool for healthcare facilities and healthcare practice around the world. Vitalstreams telehealth platform is easy and specially designed for healthcare practice in developing countries. VSTELEHEALTH is an easy, affordable platform design to improve remote video consulting . The platform takes into account health care challenges around the world and especially in developing countries. The platform also allows patient data management and instant retrieval from anywhere around the world. Currently, in the USA and around the world the hurdle with telemedicine consultation is live consultation that allows physicians to consult and make decisions. In our platform, we have an option that we plan to upgrade with a small remotely controlled camera. That option will solve the current hurdle of telemedicine consultations. Finally, our platform is cheap and affordable compared to existing platforms. Our plan is to help developing countries deal with the pandemic.
VSTELEHEALTH aims to improve healthcare practices in developing countries and around the world by providing Teleconsultation
service, instant access to medical history anywhere around the world, and Medical Prescriptions. VSTELEHEALTH aims to provide tourism Telemedicine that allows physicians to get a second opinion before designing their treatment strategies, Patients can also consult a physician abroad in conjunction with their personal physicians in Africa. Finally, VSTELEHEALTH aims to address the current telemedicine hurdle by providing remote control accessories that allow physicians to perform live teleconsultations. We plan to provide a platform that is affordable and easy to use for people around the world.
With the Covid19 pandemic, numerous telemedicine companies have been set up in the USA and around the world. However, there are still major hurdles for comfortable consultation. We are proposing to develop a remote-controlled pen-size camera that will cost about 20 dollars (affordable to any patient). People will have it and when a physician calls them for consultation, the physician will take control of the camera and do the remote consultation through live consultation and pictures taking. This camera will allow physicians for example to see clearly patients' throats, noses, eyes, and ears. The camera will also allow physicians to take live vital signs. I had a friend of mine who lost $85 through a teleconsultation but was not able to get a prescription because the physician could not see clearly his throat for Staphylococcus infection. With our pen-size camera, this issue will be solved. This pen-size camera will be vital for rural areas around the world.
Vitalstreams solution serves patients around the world from developed and developing countries. It will allow them to get better remote consultations and get prescriptions without having forcibly to travel to point of care unless it is a major health issue or an emergency issue.
Currently, telemedicine platforms are being established around the world. The hurdle is how physicians can get clear images of patients' body parts. For example for staphylococcus infection, the physician needs to see clearly the throat of the patients. Currently, it is not possible and many patients are losing their money after consulting physicians because they cannot get prescriptions. Physicians do not want to take the risk of prescribing without clear pictures of the situation. So, with our pen-size camera that will be remotely controlled by physicians, it will be possible to resolve all these issues.

Our solution is in the digital health field, which is one of the sections of the MIT solve challenges. We are proposing a solution to address a worldwide hurdle. Our solution is simple and will be affordable to people around the world.
We want to develop a pen-size camera that will be remotely controlled by physicians and allow them to perform comfortably their teleconsultations.
- Prototype: A venture or organization building and testing its product, service, or business model.
We already have our platform VSTELEHEALTH up and running. We are now in the process of adding the option of live remote-controlled camera consultation to the platform. This option will make a difference between vitalstreams VSTELEHEALTH platform and the currently existing platforms around the world.
- A new application of an existing technology
The covid 19 pandemics have seen the explosion of telemedicine platforms around the world. However, there are still hurdles using telemedicine platforms. Physicians are not able to see clearly patients' body parts and therefore, are unable to prescribe. For example, my friend had a staphylococcus infection. He paid $85 to consult a physician via a telemedicine platform. On the day of the consultation, the physician called him and asked him to direct his smartphone camera to his throat. He did that, but the physician said he could not see his throat. he did everything at the end the physician refused to prescribe him medication because he could not see his throat clearly. My friend had to drive to a hospital at the end to get his diagnosis of staphylococcus infections. With our pen-size remote-controlled camera, this issue will be resolved.

- Yes, I wish to apply for this prize
Currently, telemedicine platforms are numerous in the USA. However, none of them have an incorporated pen-sized remote-controlled camera for significant teleconsultations. We think our device will significantly improve teleconsultation practice in America. And since Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Prize help address some of America’s most pressing health challenges, we think we are eligible to apply for that prize.
