CREATING DIGITAL TECHLAB AND CITIZENS
In this twenty-first century of technologies, the rural areas of Ghana like Nsutam in Ahafo-Ano South District are worse-off or deprived than before. Currently, over 95 % of rural communities in Ahafo-Ano South District lack state-of-the-art information and communication technologies (ICT). Inhabitants of Nsutam travel over 20 miles to the district capital to get access to internet café, print media, magazines, etc.
Because poverty and unemployment are high in the rural areas only a few people (1%) have access to smartphone devices; hence they find it difficult to get access to e-commerce, social networks, credit lines, credit facility, and internet connectivity right from their abode.
This project seeks to provide a reliable Digital TECHLAB, and Internet connectivity closed to the abode of these deprived communities in Ahafo-Ano District so that they are not left behind an inclusive digital economy.
Lack of digital technology infrastructure and internet is denying rural people of Ahafo-Ano South district productive life in this modern global world. The rural people of Ahafo-Ano South District travel over 20 miles to the district capital to get access to internet café, print media, magazines, etc. The lack of smartphone users in these affected communities is also depriving them of an inclusive digital economy. This project is expected to impact over 5,000 people in the rural communities of Ahafo-Ano South District in Ghana.

Through this project, 5,000 people would be included in the digital economy. These people would have the knowledge and skills to interact with the global world through our digital infrastructure lab and the internet. The project would drastically end citizens' travel time, money, and stress of traveling 20 miles to access ICT in the District Capital.
- Provide low-income, remote, and refugee communities access to digital infrastructure and safe, affordable internet.
The problem: lack of digital infrastructure and internet accessibility have deprived the Nsutam community in the Ahafo-Ano South District of Ghana of the digital economy
Solutions: we are providing a reliable and accessible Digital TECHLAB, and Internet connectivity closed to the abode of this community (Nsutam) in Ahafo-Ano South District so that they can be part of an inclusive digital economy.
Population: This project is expected to serve over 5,000 people including the disabilities, students, youths, girls, farmers, and businesses.
- Concept: An idea being explored for its feasibility to build a product, service, or business model based on that idea.

- Yes, I wish to apply for this prize
This is because the digital infrastructure challenges are many within the district of Ahafo-Ano South and other rural parts of Ghana.
I strongly believe that with a $250,000 grant; we would expand our services to other deprived communities in Ghana and over 50,000 target population would be expected to benefit. Imagine such number is elevated or migrated into the digital economy not only my country Ghana would benefit but indirectly companies like Amazon, Facebook, Microsoft, WhatsApp, etc. in USA would also benefit big time as these utilise their platforms.

In Ghana, HP products are highly patronized so I strongly believe if we are considered for this prize not only we are going to benefit directly but we would make sure all our core technology would be HP brand.
We strongly believe that as this grant support digital infrastructure and digital equity when we are considered for this grant we shall empower 10,000 people to migrate into digital equity and economy and also encourage them to use HP products and brand day and day to also support HP Company.

We wished to be considered for this prize because we have a large section of women in rural Ghana who are handicap and always depend on men or boyfriends for a living. We strongly believe when these women are empowered and have computer skills they can directly employ or create their own online business. In fact, this will go a long way to reduce global poverty and improve the high standard of living for our rural women.
This grant is expected to fully train and empower 2000 rural women in Ghana and migrate into the digital world which will, directly and indirectly, boost the economy of the world.
