eCampus
Learn Smarter with eCampus classroom in your palm, giving you the power to self learn to your dreams.
Education is expensive, inaccessible, and inflexible. Quality learning materials are not equitably distributed. In many African countries teaching is seen as a last resort profession as salaries are low and conditions overall are not good. Student failure rates, especially for those from low-income homes, are high due to lack of access to good teachers and quality learning materials. Companies do not invest adequately in staff training due to the high financial costs.
By helping teachers and professional trainers to provide content which is then digitised into formats to read, listen, watch, practice, and discuss, they are able to make extra income as eCampus literally puts the classroom in the palms of millions of students and employees across Africa. By making earnings dependent on subscriptions, eCampus is creating a viable learning ecosystem that improves access to education and skills training.
eCampus charges a subscription fee that is shared with teachers (see it as Uber for Teachers). In Ghana, students earn points while learning on eCampus, these points when accumulated are converted into credentials (digital badges) that are accepted by key companies for employment. Points can eventually be converted into cryptocurrency that can be used to purchase food, healthcare, insurance, transportation etc.
eCampus is creating a knowledge based economy where learning is a currency. It makes the teaching profession lucrative and attractive to young adults, and reduces the cost burden of education.
eCampus' unique selling point is its ability to provide incentives to both teachers and learners on the platform that can be redeemed in tangible assets.
