BYSOL PAYOUT
The problem we solve is the absence of a secure way to transfer funds from foreign accounts to Belarusian accounts. The second problem is that people do not know how to use cryptocurrencies. The third problem is the lack of automation.
Our solution is an automated payment system designed to securely transfer money from the BYSOL fund account to the account of a repressed or refugee. BYSOL PAYOUT works on the basis of cryptocurrencies, but the user receives money in the currency of his account. Also, every recipient will receive a manual for using cryptocurrencies.
BYSOL PAYOUT can be scaled to general political and civic organizations around the world, especially in countries where there is a problem of repression for political reasons. BYSOL PAYOUT will allow secure funding for democratic forces.
Since August 2020, the BySol Foundation has paid out almost 3,500,000 euros in support of the repressed. Of these, about 2,000,000 euros were transferred to cards of Belarusian banks. We have received about 20,000 applications for financial aid.
The problem is that the Belarusian government perceives aid from our foundation as funding the protests and puts pressure on the people we helped. About $ 500,000 was arrested as part of a criminal case for financing protests in Belarus.
Every day we receive 10-13 applications for financial assistance and communicate with each applicant directly. Currently, 4 out of 10 repressed refuse payments because they are afraid of repeated reprisals for the fact of receiving help. Thus, in 40% of cases, because of their political convictions, a person cannot receive support from the foundation. The second problem is the low level of digital literacy. In 90% of cases, applicants have never used digital economy tools. We also receive about 5 messages a week that say that people are afraid to contact us for help, because they are not sure about the safety of the translation.
BYSOL PAYOUT is a payment system designed to securely transfer money from the BYSOL account to the account of a repressed or refugee. BYSOL PAYOUT works on the basis of cryptocurrencies, but the user receives money in the currency of his account.
BYSOL PAYOUT will recognize the country of origin of the recipient, choose one of the three payment systems Trusty, Payeer or Bestchange with the most favorable conversion rate on the day of transfer, and more stable work, withdraw money from the cryptocurrency exchange and transfer it to the recipient's bank card.
BYSOL PAYOUT will be fully-automated, which will shorten the time of money transfer and simplify the process of scaling our system around the world.
BYSOL PAYOUT will be able to neutralize the failures of cryptocurrency exchanges.
In order for the repressed and refugees to effectively use BYSOL PAYOUT, we will create training manuals, which will increase the level of involvement of the Belarusian population in the digital economy.
Together with the promotion of BYSOL PAYOUT, we will release manuals. This will give our users an entry into the cryptocurrency market regardless of income, age, gender, education, location or ability.
Our target group is those who suffered from repression during the peaceful protests after the presidential elections in the Republic of Belarus on 08/09/2021.
Today it is:
- relocators - about 30,000 people have left Belarus over the past 9 months;
- people who received fines and were physically abused - about 40,000 people;
- political prisoners and their families - almost 1000 families
- participants in strikes and independent trade unions - about 400 families;
- human rights defenders and activists - about 3,000 people.
In our work, we prioritize people with low incomes or those dismissed for political reasons.
Developing a secure payment system and promoting it will help victims of repression receive compensation and increase the level of use of digital economy tools.
- Equip everyone, regardless of age, gender, education, location, or ability, with culturally relevant digital literacy skills to enable participation in the digital economy.
Our problem, solution, and target group are in line with the objectives of the scholarship. Our solution adresses the issue of secure transfer of money and access for everyone to the digital economy. The target group is Belarusians repressed for political reasons.
The creation and promotion of BYSOL PAYOUT and solve the problem of secure financial assistance and increases the involvement of the population in the digital economy.
BYSOL PAYOUT is a unique cryptocurrency-based payment tool that will allow access to the digital economy for everyone regardless of gender, age, education, and religion.
- Pilot: An organization deploying a tested product, service, or business model in at least one community.
Our solution has been tested in Belarusian society and is in demand. We have already worked with more than 3000 people. Now we need to automate the process of secure money transfer and make it even more secure. Now we know only one way how the Belarusian authorities can track our transfers. BYSOL PAYOUT will eliminate this opportunity.
- A new application of an existing technology
The innovativeness of the BYSOL PAYOUT solution lies in the way the cryptocurrency is used.
BYSOL PAYOUT will automatically transfer money from a currency account to another currency account through a cryptocurrency exchange. And it will be absolutely safe for the recipient and the sender. The uniqueness of our solution also lies in its convenience. Currency conversion and selection of the required cryptocurrency exchange will occur automatically.
We expect that such an approach will become the next step in secure payments, because of speed and encryption of the transaction.

Since August 2020, we have made about 3000 transfers.
This number of transfers is due to the availability of the collected money and the fact that we only service the applications of the Baysol Foundation. However, the BYSOL PAYOU solution will serve not only the applications of the Baysol Foundation, but also other Blaru funds. In addition, we plan to scale our solution to initiatives, countries and organizations where there is a need for a secure money transfer.
We plan that the reach of users with our solution will increase by 10% every year. And in 5 years we will be serving 4800 people a year.
For the first year of using BYSOL PAYOUT:
- we will exclude refusals from payments due to security concerns;
- we will exclude the facts of tracking our transfers in favor of the affected Belarusians;
- we will involve 70% of BYSOL PAYOUT users in the world of cryptocurrencies;
- 3 more organizations will start using the solution.
- Nonprofit
A total of 5 people are working on the solution.
Of these, 1 is full-time, 2 are part-time workers
2 volunteers.
- Individual consumers or stakeholders (B2C)
We turn to MIT SOLVE not only for money. But also because our values coincide with the values of SOLVE.
In addition to achieving our goals, we always strive to improve the qualifications of our team, cooperate with friendly initiatives to achieve common goals, and readily share the experience we have.
We know that at MIT SOLVE we can find training programs for our team and support from mentors. This will make our product even better, will affect the speed of project implementation, and the quality of promoting the solution among the target group.
If our experience will be of interest to other initiatives, then we are ready to share all the accumulated knowledge and act as mentors.
- Financial (e.g. improving accounting practices, pitching to investors)
- Public Relations (e.g. branding/marketing strategy, social and global media)
- Technology (e.g. software or hardware, web development/design, data analysis, etc.)
In order to create a solution, we collect different views on how to implement it. Although our team has all the technical skills, but we could get new ideas in coding, software development and transfer of front and back programming.
We are developing a marketing strategy to promote our solution and the very idea of using the digital economy. Development of a marketing strategy, both basic and global, branding solutions, the correct presentation of a product among the Belarusian society, taking into account the difficult political situation in the country - these are the issues in which we are always looking for new ideas and approaches.
Mentoring in raising money will be useful to us for the further development of our solution and the entire fund as a whole. A great level of trust has developed to the Baysol Foundation due to the work that we have done. But we understand that there are different pitching strategies and that by learning new approaches, we will be able to attract more funds for the development team and promote our solutions.

It is important for us to know what approaches these companies used to solve their problems, what technical solutions they used, how they set up communication with the team and with the society.
Topics such as “Fighting Corruption by Tracking Civilian-Led Government Operations” and “Solving Civic Issues Through Crowdsourced Collaboration” are interesting to us as an organization whose activities are aimed at developing civil society, and the topic “Deploying blockchain technology to re-create certification of refugee medical workers ”is interesting for us, as for an organization that uses modern blockchain and cryptocurrency technologies to solve problems.

One of the priority areas of our activity is helping people who were forced to leave Belarus due to political repressions. We help these people leave the country, help them adapt to a new place. Our help consists of both material and consulting support. Especially difficult cases when you have to evacuate a person from the country within 1-2 hours, or when a family with 2-3 children moves.
And we are constantly growing in this direction, improving approaches, developing tools, developing a network of contacts with friendly organizations in other countries.

Today 80% of all political prisoners are women. Women are more often arrested on administrative charges, more often dismissed from their jobs, and men are more likely to have to flee the country. As a result, all financial issues related to family support are taken over by women. It is women who will master the technologies of cryptocurrency wallets and blockchain in order to be able to receive material support from funds.
