Digital education and training are expensive in Africa and are not designed to prepare learners for jobs, entrepreneurship, or any real application of their skills. The few available solutions are not powered by local content that connects to Africans and their learning style.
These are the problems we are committed to solving with an educational platform designed to provide career-focused digital learning services to people in Africa powered by local content.
With offline learning support, the platform offers a wide range of professional certifications and various courses by African instructors, across a wide range of digital subjects, enabling students to learn and train themself online and offline for the most in-demand jobs on the market.

RAD5 Academy aims to aid the existing issue of lack of career-focused technology education powered by local content for native young Nigerians. 13.9 Million Nigerian youth and young adults are not provided with needed digital literacy and education to partake and grab opportunities in the digital economy, and most of them end up being unemployed, underemployed, and frustrated. RAD5 hopes to provide an affordable, and personalized learning plan so that this demographic can gain confidence and become affluent in the digital economy.
RAD5 Academy is an educational platform with a blended online & offline learning experience. Incorporating public, private, and valuable community resources, learners with be provided the expertise and the support that they need to reach their full potentials. Through online courses, webinars, videos, podcasts, e-library, and a customized app, our students will be able to access the necessary online resources at their convenience to upskill and prepare themselves for the in-demand jobs on the digital market. Learners who lack certain infrastructures such as electricity and internet access are provided with an offline learning experience. This is a 6-month program where all learners will be assigned a mentor and tech coaches so that they can complement their technical skills with business and soft skills, as well as gain hands-on work experiences in their desired career fields.
Our primary focus is to empower the 13.9 Million young Nigerians age 15-35 years old with affordable career-focused digital education. Young high school and university graduates/undergraduates, as well as young adults balancing the responsibilities of work and want to improve existing skills, will also benefit from RAD5 Academy.
The flexibility that RAD5 Academy provides with its blended learning curriculum and self-guided modules make it accessible and obtainable for learners with busy lives. In order to ensure the highest quality and achievement, each student is assigned a mentor depending on the student's area of interest. A one-on-one mentorship will provide the support to keep the students engaged throughout their learning journey.
RAD5 Academy provides an affordable solution for local youth and young adults to attain the skills to contribute to their local communities and the global digital economy. Students are validated through digital badges and digital certificates. Our corporate partners and global tech communities have expressed strong support for hiring students who have completed this program. Online and offline education with local content provides practical application for our students to propel themselves into the workforce and contribute to their various home communities.

Our problem, solution, and our target population are aligned with the goals of the Fellowship. Our solution covers the education aspect of young people in Sub Sharan Africa, and we are committed to the well-being of our youth as they grow through their young adult years. The target population is the young adults who are undergraduates or graduates of universities and high schools. RAD5 Academy is a post-secondary and college digital education option available to encourage our young emerging generation to reach their full potential in the digital economy

Our solution has been deployed to two cities in Abia State, Nigeria, and we have over 200 learners with 30% currently engaged with full-time, part-time, or freelance jobs. A large number have started their own tech business and startups.
We are in the growth stage because we are aiming to expand and reach more communities in Nigeria. With our proven model and strategic partnerships, we are sure to replicate the success stories gotten so far.
