Online Mathematics Teachable Canada Inc.
Digital learning is becoming useful during the pandemic, many online course creators including myself have worked tirelessly to bring online education accessible to all students around the world. Online education reduces the gaps in inequality education for all.
I have strong confidence in my innovative projects to establish a non profit Mathematics online Teachable School of Canada to provide qualified courses for all students across the world.
Our Online school focuses on one branch of STEM subject, provides advancement in Ed. to help young people in all backgrounds to pursue their education in STEM to keep up with the rapid changing of advanced technology. Online Ed. is the best education reform of our future education. Because independent learning, self-directed, self-motivated are three primary keys of learning success. Science technology has shaped the world in such astonishing speed, the needs for STEM Ed. is real, and significant importance, it is a solution.
Growing up as a teen and surviving through a devastating society after a post war, I understand how difficult and suffering it was for young students who hardly fulfil their dreams in education to change their lives for better future. Poverty came from war torn countries, alcoholic, drug addictions, family broken, differences in languages, lives' instability due to migrations & refugees have always been an existing problem in our world.
However, thanks to science and advanced technology, we have vaccinations and digital evolution is becoming useful during times of crisis. Many course creators have come up with creative ideas and innovations to be problem solvers.
After 13 years working as a private tutor, a math teacher in North America, I have seen the opportunity to be a part of problem solvers. Together, we can bring online education and digital revolution to close educational gaps due to environmental stress and limited resources in public education that young adults have coped. The needs for online education, and STEM subjects are real, and significant importance.
And therefore, Online Mathematics Teachable School of Canada Inc. is one of a humble partnership who wish to join our team as one of problem solvers.
When the pandemic broke out on February 2020, our ways of lives were disrupted, schools across the world have temporarily closed down, but students across the world have been beneficial from online education support from teachers, and course creators on YouTube. We have worked tirelessly as volunteers online to support education. Using my little savings, I have invested in my projects for online education. Creating more than 160 videos, equivalent to 789 hours including MS PowerPoint Presentations, written documents, quizzes and exams since Mid October 2020. This record can be observed from
https://www.youtube.com/c/mymathteachi...
Followed up with my love for teaching, my passion, I determine to keep up with this momentum and in May 11, 2021, a small non profit online education was registered in Hope BC, Canada.
Our online school will provide an advancement in education to all students, encourage students to pursue their STEM ed. to keep up with the moving speed of digital world.
With the belief in "Education is not about schools, but it is about obtaining your real skills, real knowledge, by a long-life journey of 'what you can bring into this world of your own'. This belief is becoming my commitment now to our society.
Advanced technology has allowed us to communicate with students everywhere around the world, my target population therefore will not be restricted to any ethnic groups who have access to internet in any regions around the world. However, over the years working as a senior high school math teacher, I would like to focus on intermediate and advanced mathematics education for senior high school students, including adults who have dropped out and wish to come back to gain skills and knowledge for their further academic goals such as pursuing general education, college entrances, apprenticeships, or any academic programs that need to have a foundation in mathematics. And many of these courses required mathematics education. Our online Math Courses also serve international students who wish to enroll in International schools but their families are not wealthy enough to pay for international programs in their back home in Vietnam, China, India, etc.,. For Visa students and international schools in these countries, the cost of tuitions are expensive and therefore, these international schools only serve a small population of wealthy families in these countries. Our online Mathematics school will serve the underserved population.
Mathematics education in STEM subjects has been one of the most educational concern in our society from the past decade. Especially in the United States. After many years serving in public education, and in Aboriginal schools, I have seen educators are coping difficulties in public education in may areas even in the cities, the majority of students' levels are below their grade levels, students are placed in grade 9 to 12 sometimes or often are at the grade levels of grade 4, 5 or 6. This phenomenon also exist to some bright students who have no problems in behavior challenges, attention learning deficit, or physical impaired. These students continue to be placed in the next grade level, despite the facts that their education has been always far beyond their grade levels.
"According to a July 1 press release from the U.S. Department of Education (DoE), the schools failed to make sufficient progress on state assessments. The 3.5 million students in those schools – all of which received ESEA Title I funds – are eligible to transfer to other schools....
Districts must allow students from “failing” schools to attend other schools that are performing acceptably on the tests and must provide transportation. However, many districts report they have few or no spaces available in higher-scoring schools. Baltimore has 30,000 students eligible to transfer but only 194 openings; Camden, New Jersey, told parents they had no openings for transfers.
Chicago’s Mayor Richard Daley denounced as “ridiculous” the notion that up to 125,000 students, more than a third of the city’s total, are eligible for transfers. The district claims it has room for fewer than 3,000 transfers, and it will actually allow transfers from only 50 schools." This is statistical data withdrawn from the online article of "ESEA: Ten Percent of U.S Schools labeled "Failing" ".
However, will transferring be a solution?
If a student who was failing and having learning disability, then was placed in a challenging environment, in a long run, it may or may not be better, but in a short term, or at the start, this student would be vulnerable to learning stress, emotionally confused seeing everyone else are done better than him. This is not a good solution, in my opinion.
This problematic education has been always existed without solutions for years. Although, our governments had invested million dollars in public educations. The needs for private educations, online educations and advanced educations are real and urgent. Any additional sectors of education can be handful hands of supporters who contribute to solve the unsolved problem in education.
Private educations, tutoring services have always been solutions for many parents who afford to enforce and invest in their children for their academic assistances and future careers. However, the majority of children are still the subjects of inequality in education in North America and everywhere when parents cannot afford. Luckily, advanced technologies in online education steps in to solve this problem.
Recently, we have seen digital revolution and online education is not only becoming so useful during the pandemic but also foreseen as our future education to help societies deploy progressively and practically intelligent problem solvers of problematic education for our societies here in America and across our global.
If students enroll to our online mathematics courses to gain some knowledge, to help with their school assignments in mathematics that are equivalent to our online courses, they are welcome with zoom online supports similarly as one on one tutoring service without costs. If students who are thrill to gain their knowledge in mathematics and complete our online assignments, online Quizzes and a final exam on zoom section, they can earn our online certificates.
Like computer science, mathematics has its own universal language, and sameness in global curriculum. As long as students understand about mathematical concepts, they can do any math tests, any assignments with the same grade levels and subjects in mathematics whether online or from their schools.
If students just want to upgrade or use our online courses as their resources to understand how to do their school assignments, and gain understanding in mathematics by self-learned, that is also a huge impact for education in our society. Enrolling in our online math courses is only a positive solution in terms of self-directed learning, organizational skills; self-motivated, and time managements, these are factors that decides students' success in their colleges and universities.
- Equip everyone, regardless of age, gender, education, location, or ability, with culturally relevant digital literacy skills to enable participation in the digital economy.
Online Mathematics Teachable School of Canada provides senior high school students qualified content structures. Its goal is to improve qualification in mathematics Ed. Students can learn in their own times and spaces, without limited duration. We want to offer 100% curriculum with sufficient concepts, so that each content unit may serve each individual needs. Our online Courses can act as private tutoring lessons, or serves as a full enrolment course. Each online teaching video clearly explains the lessons step by step. These courses have interesting presentations in MS PowerPoint as well as practical handouts assignments, online short Quizzes, and exams.
- Growth: An organization with an established product, service, or business model rolled out in one or, ideally, several communities, which is poised for further growth.
After working full time for 8 months on my projects in education, Our Online Mathematics Teachable School of Canada is getting ready with the first three fully developed courses: Introduction to Calculus I & II, Pre-Cal Math 12, including about more than 160 teaching videos online that aligned with North America curriculums. Our Courses were designed based on conceptual thinking and practical applications using online video teaching. Our Mathematics courses cover a wide range of interesting knowledge, most introductory lessons were created, using MS PowerPoints presentation to make attractive, standing out, and clearly contents' descriptions. These courses include practical handout assignments, online short quizzes, and exams. We take advantage of online technology to present our courses with full 100% content curriculum so that they can have enough chapters and topics that may address variety of individual needs within that particular grades.
- A new business model or process that relies on technology to be successful
Mathematics Education plays a central role in all areas such as sciences and technologies. Although, Math and technology strongly support to each other, but they totally play separated roles. Technology keeps on changing and transforming to new applications, whereas mathematics always remains with the same concepts over the court of history. The Egypt mathematician invented the Pi number from thousand years ago, still be a valid number until now, so as well as Pascal triangle. Mathematics has never become out of date, but technology can.
Mathematics Ed. in America has been constantly reformed from instructions to differentiate lessons, unfortunately, the results show our reform has failed to delivery adequate contents in math Ed. Perhaps because we think mathematics is similar to high tech, it can be replaced with a new teaching method, not realizing traditional instructions placed a foundation in mathematics Ed. It is a builder of progressive constructivism in Math Ed. as mathematics itself is a sequences of logical steps in construction, new concepts, new ideas built one on top of another.
Canada online school of mathematics is an innovation. We keep instructional strategy and combine other techniques in educational solution. We use techs to support math concepts, not to replace it . Our projects in math Ed. is an innovation because we adopt digital inclusion in teaching practices. Our lessons are innovative because they are unique and different from others. Although we have many online schools, but each teacher has his own way to delivery his own lessons.

Our School has not opened until July 3rd, 2021. Recently, we have about 10 students on the email lists.
Hopefully on July 3rd, 2021, we will have a lot more students who will enroll in our online school.
We do not restrict on the numbers of enrolments, firstly, the online school is still new, and still being hidden from the market, simply because, we do not have enough budget for digital marketing or joining with other business groups. Our online school has not been discovered by our society.
At this moment, this school only can enroll math 12 students because we only have three mathematics courses: Introduction to Calculus I, Introduction to Calculus II and Pre-calculus Math 12.
By next year, we hope, there will be 30 to 100 students enrolled in our schools from North America and around the world.
In the next five years, I hope we can have hundreds to thousands students. For full enrollment and completion of their courses, they can pursue our recognition certificates, other than that, as long as they could be benefited from any online lessons from our online school to help them passing their school grades and improve their true knowledge in mathematics education, then our mission will be fulfilled.
Our goal does not limit or restrict enrolment schedule, unless it must be an option to keep qualification of support.
At this early stage of our online school of Mathematics, I measure the progress towards my impact goals, mostly based on the courses content creation; teaching videos and marketing effort. Other progress such as research, using technological implications, clear mission, clear objectives, and clear vision.
The progress can be described as the following steps:
1) Mission: Contribute to empower qualification in mathematics education in public schools in North America. Provide qualified online programs to all students globally; provide access to international programs for the underserved students in Asia due to high cost from international schools this will lead to inclusive and equality in education for all.
2) Functions and Operations: Commitment to a full time hours of workload since October 20, 2020. The Outcomes of fully developed digital courses were published. The products include researching and gathering data information; selecting and purchasing course platforms & websites; carefully designing content curriculum to the best of meaningful applications. Searching for additional and corelated activities from internet, YouTube, other software such as Math Type, Google Classroom activities; Microsoft PowerPoints; NCH Video Pad editor; Creating more than 160 teaching videos in combination with written lessons; written assignments; Quizzes; practice exams packages and final exams.
3) Establishing non-profit online school in May 20, 2021; researching and applying for grants funding; updating business start up budget; actively searching for any low marketing costs beside Facebook, Instagram, Link Ed.
4) Continuing to work on online course development, planning for the next project which is Mathematics of Finances.
- Nonprofit
We have 3 directors, but currently, I am the Head Director who is fully in charge of all activities, mostly creating our online Math Courses, & teaching videos.
My next planning is to join "Automatic Income Academy" a successful online business CEO, Graham Cochrane; and "Solve" Community.
My Educational background is:
Completed B.A degree in Mathematics from York University (1999 - 2003)
Completed M.S degree in Adolescence Education from D'youville College in Buffalo NY, a Partnership Program joining between USA and Canada.(2006- 2007)
My Teaching Experience:
I am a passionate teacher, I always created a lively classroom and an engaging learning environment for students where ever I had a chance to serve and devote to my teaching career.
Over 13 years, in my career journey, I had a chance to work in different educational settings, including privates, public schools, and tutoring services. These experiences have broaden my perspectives in multicultural and global education. I count my success based on the way I have changed students' learning attitudes towards mathematics. My students whoever have a chance to be in my class, became more engaged, took learning more seriously. The majority of my students have shown significant improvement in mathematics assessments over the times, as learning takes times in consistently, not a magic overnight.
During Covid 19, I found an opportunity to be an online teacher in order to serve students across the world in my subject areas, particularly in Mathematics Education. And therefore, Online Mathematics Teachable School of Canada has registered as a non profit organization in Hope BC, Canada.
Let' me start with : Diversity, Equity and Inclusion means:
- To enrich learning for all.
- Try to see the world from different views.
- There are true values that exist in all cultures: compassion for love, respect for all, and tolerance of differences.
- "Culture is the sum of all forms of arts, of love and thoughts, which in the course of centuries, have enabled men to be less enslaved"(by Andre Malraux)
Being inspired by my own experience as an immigrant myself, also life and social ethnics in North America has taught me to be the best person as I can be. With my love for the subject areas I serve, I wish to join "Solve" to be a part of a team to share my passion and to contribute my work to solve social problems in Mathematics Education across our world. My work experience sometimes challenges my vision in unsolvable problems in improving public education across America. The reality of social problems in mathematics education in many schools in USA and in Toronto schools, where chaos, lack of disciplinary, and limited contents deliveries due to these problems has haunted me in my professional journey for years. The question where do we find a practical solution?
The pandemic broke out made the social problems in our education even worsen, but in darkness, there is a light in a tunnel, we have found a solution in digital education. Online Education can solve this unsolvable solutions that we have coped for years in our educational system.
- Organizations (B2B)
Over the years working in both public and private school in North America, I have seen the needs to improve STEM education is very important in our society, when Sciences and Advanced Technologies have transformed our world with an astonishing speed.
The needs for STEM subjects in all societies are real when our world have changed from industrial to digital evolution. If we are not paying attention to invest in young generations and equip them with appropriate tools, we might not be well prepared for social adaption.
For a decade of pushing for achievements in public education, we have not seen significant improvement. No matter, what differentiated teaching strategies we enforced in education and put responsibility on the shoulders of our teachers, a scale of improvement is far beyond expectation. Our education has been reformed many times, from traditional instructions to constructivism, without realizing that a theory of changing from one method to another, not either way can make progress in education.
Differentiate lesson plans only results in cutting down the times of teaching, giving students minimal knowledge, where as, there are always some students who wish to learn more, but struggling teachers and students continue to waste their times to handle classroom management due to different groups lessons. Given 50 minutes per period, divided by 5 group lessons, each group of students only can learn between 5 to 10 minutes of the lesson content each day. While teacher was busy with one group for 10 minutes, other groups using their working times for chatting within their groups. No wonder insufficient knowledge and increasing the gaps of different levels in public classrooms as the reality.
To solve this problematic education, digital and online education is the solution. And our Online Mathematics Teachable School of Canada is one of problem solvers.
- Human Capital (e.g. sourcing talent, board development, etc.)
- Public Relations (e.g. branding/marketing strategy, social and global media)
- Product / Service Distribution (e.g. expanding client base)
- Technology (e.g. software or hardware, web development/design, data analysis, etc.)
Investment in education is related to Human Capital
Public Relations, marketing strategies increase students enrollments to online educations.
Product/Services Distribution also increase clients enrollments.
Mathematics Education might need mathematics software to enhance content knowledge, make it clear for visual learners, create interesting details to draw more engaged, focus, and attention.
MIT faculty is interesting partner, Solve Members; AMS is also a great membership I wish to join. BC online Schooling; CMS Canadian Mathematics Society; E-Bus Online BC Canada; Independent School Association BC ISABC; Asian International School in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam
These organizations can gain benefit from our online courses, reduce their budget to hire teachers. On the other hands, our new online school might be known fore more enrollments in both organizations.

Our Canada Online School will provide advancement in mathematics education to all students, encourage students to pursue their education in STEM subjects, to keep up with the rapid changing of advanced technology and digital world. Our North America curriculums are very much similar. Algebra II is equivalent to Advanced Functions in Canada, as well as Pre-Calculus. Our online Math courses only focused in Mathematics so that we can deliver qualified online products. Our online courses have sufficient information, tailored structures, visual standing outs, instructional video teachings clearly present step by step instructions. Lessons are well connected in a logical sequences steps of mathematical language.

Due to the conflict in Middle East, many refugees have come to North America to seek for peace for their new lives. Many adults might wish to gain some specific areas of educations to gain employments in our workforce. STEM Education is very useful to young adults, or students whose educations were disrupted. STEM Education produces easier employments for these new comers as language barriers seems not be so much problem in technical skills and mathematics education. These subjects have their own universal language. Also, higher education in mathematics and technical subjects seems to attract immigrants and refugees. Since employments in these field requires particular skills and education. My online Mathematics school might be able to offer these refugees in the search for advanced education. For some of them maybe a refresh study for what they have already learned in the past in their own languages.

Satoshi Nakamoto had used mathematics and computer programs to create a block chain system that led to crypto currency. Many investors are willing to take risks to participate into this new investment that perhaps contributes to making our world become wealthier. In a long run, digital and crypto currency might create a more sustainable economy, hopefully it will reduce the gaps between rich and poor within and between countries. If they support education, especially in STEM subjects, then Online Mathematics Teachable School of Canada , a non profit organization may be one of their considerations.
