the esusu system has been in existence in Africa and Nigeria for ages but has been marred with so many operational inefficiencies because it is basically manually operated. The Esusu is a savings and borrowing scheme that if well digitalized can create employment and help government to generate more revenue. it will be a fully automated scheme that notify of transaction realtime and customers can do their operation with little or no help. this process is more efficient, effective, crisis proof and engenders customers trust
the problems associated with thrift collection are integrity, lack of records, manual operation and security issues
to provide a digitalized and automated solution to thrift collection and give a full scale financial solution like borrowing and investments
low income earners, students, rural and semi urban dwellers who are somewhat not properly captured in the financial policies
