Abaxto
Abaxto provides real time transactional and geospatial data gathering which is almost non-existent in the B2B2C segment. Our platform is not just looking at transactions, but it is showing population habits and trends with heatmaps, analysis of data and segmentation. This information is not only highly needed by companies, governments, distributors, points-of-sale but also by the population in general.
Abaxto is designed to empower all small and medium businesses who are not able to sell their product and services digitally due to the pandemic, a lack of technical knowledge or non-existent budget. Abaxto will provide a way through a geospatial database, web services and mobile Apps to open the doors to low-income, remote, and small communities to have access to online marketplaces. Furthermore, digital sales and inventory information is not readily available for companies and end-users in real time. During COVID-19 and the Chilean Movements of October 2019 our platform showed how it can help the economy by providing a strong omnichannel and information for better business decisions. Our technology allows us to include all type of information such as product transaction, gender, age range and any other segmentation that could be needed for a better Business Intelligence.
Abaxto is a personalized and highly scalable platform that can exchange information between mobile applications, webs, and any other device capable of providing transactional sales information in real time using our state-of-the-art web services. Abaxto creates a bridge between businesses, people, communities, and products through and omnichannel technology helping all players in the ecosystem to have a better understanding of a digital economy providing access to sales and purchasing tools. Furthermore, through the information acquired other services, such as micro loans and blockchains, can be offered to those small businesses.
Abaxto’s primary focus is to empower all small businesses in low-income and remote communities to thrive in the digital economy by providing the needed tools to not only sale their products but also gather information for better decision making. The flexibility of Abaxto’s platform has helped businesses, and communities to develop a better way to scale and create a new digital identity with sales tools and financial access.
Many small businesses do not have access to credits due to the lack of information needed by the banking segment. Abaxto provides this information through the data gathered helping these businesses to grow in the digital world.
- Scale safe and private digital identity and financial tools to allow people and small businesses to thrive in the digital economy.
Abaxto's platform was developed not only to be used as a marketplace but also to create new jobs and access to traditionally non-digital markets. The Pandemic has shown how Abaxto has helped communities and markets in Chile and Perú during these trying times.
We have built an inclusive economy with access to products, services and banking systems. Now, we are working on the creation of blockchain to provide more information to governments, companies and the population with data not available before.
- Growth: An organization with an established product, service, or business model rolled out in one or, ideally, several communities, which is poised for further growth.
We are in the growth phase of our solution. We have tested the soluton in two countries with success and we have been able to prove our theories. Now at the growth stage we believe MIT will helps us leap to the next stage which is expansion of the solution.
- A new business model or process that relies on technology to be successful
Abaxto is a socially focused platform. Marketplaces are usually known for products being sold and not providing enough information to the businesses that are part of them. Our approach is different, we focus on the transactional and geospatial data that is gathered and how that data helps businesses to improve their sales, local governments to have a better understanding of what the population is doing and larger companies to be able to make better business decisions about their products and marketing.

Currently our solution has over 100K end-users registered. We plan to triple the number within the next year and to get to 5M users in the next 5 years.
Abaxto is helping decrease poverty by providing digital tools to populations that did not have access to them and to small businesses that did not have ways to create their own. This is helping the economy and indirectly decrease hunger since revenue is generated, and the economic cycle is kept strong and agile. Abaxto platform can be used by everyone promoting gender equality in business opportunities with decent work and a good economic growth for everyone involved. When growth, equalities, and zero hunger are present then we can start showing that inequalities are reduced since the platform is open to everyone who needs it.

- Individual consumers or stakeholders (B2C)
We are applying to solve because we believe we can make a difference with our technology. Unlike traditional marketplaces that their only focus is to get revenue, Abaxto focuses on social issues and how to help people with technology. Of course, Abaxto monetizes but we neither cannibalize the market nor take advantage of big companies. Instead, our leadership believes that helping small businesses will help us grow. MIT Solve will help us accomplish our goals in benefit of society.
- Human Capital (e.g. sourcing talent, board development, etc.)
- Financial (e.g. improving accounting practices, pitching to investors)
- Legal or Regulatory Matters
- Product / Service Distribution (e.g. expanding client base)
As many startups we plan on growing and that growth brings challenges such as getting talent to continue developing our platform which means we will need financial resources to have the best of the best. Also, growing means expanding to other countries that also brings new laws into the equation. Finally, each country has its own culture which we need to fully understand to be able to expand our client base.
We would like to partner with MIT Faculty members to be able to better process all of the transactional and geospatial data used for BI. This data is highly valued and needed by governments, businesses, and the general population.
We would also like to partner with local governments to promote digital inclusion and economic growth of minorities also promoting equality.
International companies such as P&G, Unilever, Food manufacturers are also entities we want to partner with to promote standards, better understanding of communities, demographics and psychographic behaviors when it comes to digital markets.
