Csv Research Solutions ltd
In the recent technology world, there has been a lot of incubation for AI and data science from schools and online learning platforms, there has also been a lot of unemployed graduates who are potential great minds. We at Csv research solutions ltd want to bridge the gap by offering free training in data collection and manipulation tools for students and even graduates, regardless of age, gender, religious background, and race. Examples of these data tools are Python, R, SQL, ODK, cs pro, tableau, and power BI. They will be a registration threshold exam with basic statistic questions to get the trainable students onboard. We will then organize challenges that have quarter-finals, semi-finals, and finals to compete for a grand prize. This will motivate the students to give their best as there is a reward. The winners will then be absorbed into tech companies solving the employment problem.
We are working on ensuring digital inclusion in Africa regardless of age, gender, religious background, or race. According to https://www-statista-com.ezproxyberklee.flo.org/, Nigeria, Kenya, and Libya have the highest internet penetration in Africa at 96.1percent, 85.2 percent, and 84.2 percent share of internet users in Africa. Also according to https://www.alueducation.com/, 45 percent of university graduates in Africa are jobless. In Nigeria, 23.1 percent of people with undergraduate degrees are unemployed. It takes a university graduate at least five years to get secure a job in Tanzania and Kenya. Six in Tunisia. This can mainly be attributed to the mismatch between the knowledge students gain in university and the skills that companies are looking for. The falling quality of education in universities due to schools admitting more students than they have teachers for also accounts for this. There are 50 percent more students to a lecturer in sub-Saharan Africa than the global average. According to Olfa Fdhila, more than half of African universities’ graduates lack employability skills, technical mastery, and basic work-related capabilities.
The solution is anchored on offering innovation and learning by experience. The learning techniques that we will use aim to give satisfactory results by evaluating solutions from real-world AI and data science problems from companies, organizations, and governments. Through highly skilled and experienced trainers, partnerships with tech companies, and the use of the most relevant AI technologies like python and R, we aim at constantly equipping students with the right knowledge and skills that companies are looking for and also solving companies' data and AI challenges. To motivate the students we offer free training and also grand prizes for best solutions to company AI challenges.
The number of data analysts, business analysts, programmers, and data science enthusiasts on the job searching market is alarming. In a survey to enroll people for a free data science course that was deployed on LinkedIn, within 5 days, 114 applications had registered and ready to learn. This shows that the number of people willing to learn and potentially great minds is high. Our target population is people with a statistics-related background, regardless of age, current occupation, or race, since they are will be easier to grasp AI and data science concepts that are grounded on a statistics foundation.
The current organizations offering data science challenges only reshuffle winners, with a very low uptake for newcomers, the skill of developing prediction models and computer vision algorithms should be better taught to others for the digital economy to expand and development of new technologies to scale quickly.
We have been offering data science training through surveys and in the surveys, we ask engagement questions like how much people would like to pay and why this amount, what degrees they have what jobs they currently hold. Surprisingly, 80% of the people who filled the survey would like not to pay because of mostly lack of funds, no employment or they were students. From the survey also 60% of people who had degrees were in occupations that had nothing to do with what they studied.
This solution will build the capacity of the potentially great AI and data science minds by offering training and further getting the best of these minds to solve some of the challenging tasks in the digital market.
- Equip everyone, regardless of age, gender, education, location, or ability, with culturally relevant digital literacy skills to enable participation in the digital economy.

- Prototype: A venture or organization building and testing its product, service, or business model.
CSV research solutions limited is a registered company in Kenya with the main aim of offering training on the use of tools for AI and data science, understanding business problems, and offering the best quality data solutions, predictive models, or applications to aid in solving these business problems. We already have three experienced full-time dedicated trainers. We have also developed online application forms, course content, course WhatsApp groups, and brochures for the courses. The brochures and links to the forms have been deployed to our company's Linkedin, Twitter, Facebook, and website pages for enrolment to begin. We have already trained over 200 students in R, Python, and web development with no institutional capital, that is why we regard our venture as being in the prototype stage.
- A new application of an existing technology
The solution provides for more access to data science and programming skills to those who do not have access to it. Most data science and programming lessons are out of reach for most African households. CSV Research Solutions is working towards bridging this gap by taking these lessons to the grassroots. Our innovation seeks to reduce the level of unemployment in Africa by exposing the youth with data science skills hence allowing them to be self employed. Additionally, CSV Research Solutions aims to build capacity in companies, organizations and governments to improve the data science and AI skills for its staff hence enabling more accurate predictions for evidence based decision making, reduction of operating costs and increase in overall productivity.

Currently, the solution is serving 200 people. Within a year, we expect to serve atleast 1,000 people. In five years, we expect that number to climb fourfold to 20,000 people.
One of the indicators is reducing inequalities. In most African countries, the research and programming world is mostly male-dominated, additionally, persons living with disabilities are also marginalized in this regard. We at CSV seek to give equal chances to these two marginalized groups and empower them through rigorous training. The training will equip them with the necessary skills to compete in the field. CSV Research Solutions also measures the impact of its success through the number of learners who transition from training to the tech industry. This is in line with goal four on quality education. We also seek to foster innovation in industries by empowering our learners to think outside the box and be critical thinkers while developing solutions.
