Frontline health workers nowadays face many barriers due to physical and geographical boundaries that their patients and themselves are unable to transcend. Poverty, disability and lack of understanding are but a few reasons for preventable but detrimental illnesses or conditions for these patients. To tackle these issues, the Tech4Doc app equips doctors with easy-to-use solutions with key functions. 

Our simplistic app interface jumps right into personalised healthcare for the individual. Patients who are unsure if they are unwell can take pictures of symptomatic signs of themselves (such as infected wounds) or upload visual medical scans such as X-rays that will be classified by artificial intelligence. These provide preliminary, data-facilitated diagnosis for patients who lack access to immediate or affordable healthcare. Tech4Doc follows-up by allowing concerned patients to seek advise from healthcare providers over video consultation services, which are equipped with translation and transcriptive functions. These unique features boost the quality and connectivity of healthcare services, making it easy for frontline healthcare workers reach out to patients in their community with options for volunteer or paid consultations. Patients can also connect seamlessly with other healthcare providers beyond their geographical and linguistic boundaries. 

The app will also keep strict records of the patients for their use at doctor appointments, since the target patients are those who lack sufficient access to healthcare services. To support and help doctors doing clinical research, the Tech4Doc app will also store anonymised clinical characteristics of patients who have consented. Usage of our app is further incentivised by the database built upon patient and provider usage, since information is fed to the artificial intelligence network for constantly improved, updated diagnosis. In-app reminder and recommendation functions on medication and diet also make healthcare a constant in the lives of needy patients. They can also ‘like’ the profiles of healthcare providers and even donate to institutions within impoverished countries for them to improve sanitation and replace equipment.

Our Tech4Doc app will increase healthcare viability and convenience- all at a single stop. For frontline healthcare workers, it allows them to gain more satisfaction in saving and bettering the lives of those who need them most. Our Tech4Doc app is the solution to better prevention and cure, in order to support frontline healthcare workers in their cause.

Our solution applies existing technologies to deliver innovative, novel modes of healthcare services directly from frontline healthcare workers to patients. This Tech4Doc app aims to integrate all the current functions of the Internet to increase connection in the healthcare sector.

Video-conferencing, data collection, cloud services and data analysis will be combined to allow frontline healthcare providers to deliver optimal healthcare to their patients. Artificial intelligence plays the prime role of data-supported diagnosis.

To connect with doctors and healthcare providers worldwide to share our technology with them. In order to expand Tech4Doc's reach to our target patients, this app will be made free on all app stores.

Since the ultimate aim is to help patients from developing countries with poor healthcare conditions and little advice, we will bring our Tech4Doc app to these countries including China, India and Africa, targeting their rural cities and villages. To expand usage, it is our aim to collaborate with governments and state bodies of these countries to increase usage of our app.

The Tech4Doc app will be available for free on the Apple and Android stores upon garnering promised participation from healthcare institutions/ healthcare providers and collaborations with local governments in China, India and Singapore to promote usage of this app. We believe that is in the interest of communities to boost healthcare access and affordability. To increase app usage, we are connecting with doctors and healthcare workers from Singapore, China and India to raise awareness about the app in order that they inform their patients about it too. 

As the app requires doctors' and healthcare workers' participation on a mass usage level, preferably on an institution-participation basis, we have not officially released it on the App and Android stores yet. With SOLVE and its partnering institutions' help, the process of outreach to promote usage of our app will be sped up.

We intend to test out the app with the aging Singaporean population and low to middle classes facing issues with social inequality. In addition, we will connect with healthcare communities over Asia and serve India and China's rural, impoverished communities who have higher levels of access to the Internet than to healthcare. 

We have experience at several notable healthcare and medical organisations in Singapore, and can promote and raise awareness on the Tech4Doc app for more affordable and effective healthcare. Our experience with patients who lack affordable and accessible healthcare is the primary motivation for our app and the impact we hope to make.

Advertisements by pharmaceutical and medical corporations will help generate funds. This app is based on Network Economics, whereby more users will increase the impact and reach of the functions of Tech4Doc.

Solve offers partnership and mentorship from many leading experts that I am sure can offer me many deeper insights on how to better Tech4Doc. The judging panel and feedback panel also offer a plethora of experts be it in app-building or healthcare in rural areas with expensive or little access to proper healthcare, and we look forward to receiving their expertise in making healthcare services much more effective and affordable via Tech4Doc.

To make this app widely used in our target populations, we require the support and input of members and experts of the large Solve community. We believe that the support and help of the Solver community will be immeasurably value-added to Tech4Doc and its cause.
