Founded in 2017, Medical Street is a business to business (B2B) and business to consumer (B2C) innovative digital health startup solutions provider of supplies, equipment and devices as well as specified healthcare products to healthcare providers, health workers, professionals and people interested in health.
Problem- Medical Street addresses critical needs in key areas of health industry including prices, quality, accessibility to supplies & products, time and money. The company footprints extend across the five regions of Uganda in addition to islands.
A strong customer focused approach, conformance to standards and constant quest for top class quality brands and products have enabled the startup to sustain local clients in the major districts of Uganda. Medical Street concentrates on health providers such as health research institutions, hospitals, diagnostic centers and clinics, health workers that include but not limited to physicians, clinicians as well as doctors, and anyone that can be interested in buying health and medical products.

Medical Street is a registered company with Uganda registration service bureau operating within the stipulated laws of the country and operates as Medical Street online. It’s an e-Commerce digital health startup company positioning itself as a platform and marketplace for healthcare, medical products and supplies to serve the needs of individuals interested in health, healthcare professionals and providers to ensure good health and wellbeing of individuals in order to attain the sustainable development goals.
We sell and deliver a wide range of products such as medical equipment, medical devices, medical sundries, medical instruments, laboratory equipment, hospital furniture, health supplements and other healthcare products to clients without them having to leave their work stations, only for convenience.

We are an e – commerce startup with long term goals of having our presence in major cities of Africa continent and delivering a wide range of products from globally recognized distributors, suppliers and manufacturing brands at rock bottom prices.
Medical Street is running online at www.medicalstreet.co.ug 24/7 a week, efficient, and effective where orders can be placed at anytime, anywhere. With our structured timely delivery and distribution s network of supplies clients are benefiting from our unspeakable services both online and offline.
We ensure that all our customers are given first class treatment irrespective of the quantity of products they purchase or the part of district and region of Uganda they come. We have CRM software that enable us manage a one on one relationship with customers no matter how large the numbers of our customers’ base grows. Our customers will always be carried along when we want to make decisions that will directly affect them.

Our solution is an online e-Commerce platform that enables health workers, providers, professionals and people interested in health order for supplies and products online without having to leave their work stations. The platform is easy to to use by customers ensuring that they give maximum required time to patients that need healthcare for good health and well being in order to attain sustainable development.
Medical Street is using the internet to reach out to online customers through its online portal. Through our online contacts customers reach out to us in case they need products. They use whatsApp, emails and SMS mobile messages to reach out to us.
1. Develop a new software version for customer service & customer satisfaction for ordering medical and healthcare products online.
- Develop successful relationships with distributors, suppliers and manufactures of top brands in Uganda and around the world to facilitate exchange of information.
- Develop strategic alliances with supplier, shipping companies, and electronic payment systems to negotiate reduction or elimination of the shipping costs to consumers on products.
- Design, maintain, and promote a user-friendly website, mobile application and the corporate trademark that offers an easy and trouble-free product ordering for customers.
The company plans to raise $40,000 in two rounds of financing along with securing access to additional $10,000 for the cash flow purposes, before making its program fully available to healthcare retailer suppliers and consumers. Based on conservative financial projections, the company will become profitable from early Year 3. By this time the company would have reached a whooping 100,000 customers with a revenue of $50,000. By end of Year 5, the company would have reached over 600,000 customers and operating in cities of east Africa generating over $500,000 annually.

We reach out to customers using different avenues such as social media, email marketing , mobile phone calls and physically visiting their premises to show cases the available products and supplies.
We'll retain customers by providing the best and quality products at an affordable but competitive prices. We keep in touch by updating them on the current arrivals and promotions which are available weekly and monthly.
Since the launch of our website in late February of 2018, we have reached over 50 customers inquiring about supplies and products. Every week we sell to at least two customers and the number is increasing day by day.
We expect to server over 10,000 customers in next 12 months of operation and directly engage 1000 clients in sales.
In three years time, we expect to server over 500,000 customers with our online platform and engage directly with 50,000 clients in sales.

We are an interdisciplinary team of enthusiastic young entrepreneurs composed of biomedical engineer, software engineers, Scientists, sales and marketing professionals. We are new technology adopters and flexible in making decisions for the company. We work tirelessly to ensure smooth running of our company.
We get our money by advertising company products to customers online through our different accounts. We also get a percentage of every transaction that we manage to make with clients. The markup price depends on the product and brand we sell.
We believe Solve posses the opportunities to connect with mentors and innovators who are developing digital health solutions aimed at positively impact the lives of individuals around the world. We hope to learn from others and understand new ways to implement our startup for high impact. We believe this will help increase impact to our target population and ensure that people have access to good health and well being.
