"shareMEData" - Global health data and medical records
shareMEData provides a web application where health workers can store and access patient medical records from anywhere in the world
A lack of medical records can be catastrophic… this is what you always hear when talking about medical records. But what if there are not any medical records for patients, what does a health worker do when they face this situation?
In low and some middle income countries there are people who go from one doctor to another without any information of previous treatments, health workers simply don’t know anything about the patients.
Usually in public healthcare entities or even in some private healthcare entities you will not be able to retrieve your medical records, if those were created, those can be in physical papers or in some backups of legacy health systems without any search index besides the date when the backup was taken. It is almost impossible to get your medical history again.
In the other hand in high and some middle income countries you need to pay to get a copy of your own medical records, sometimes you are also charged because somebody needs to search your medical records. And the worst thing is that all the historical health records belongs to software providers, doctors or somebody else, which is totally wrong. The historical health data belongs to the patients.
This is happening globally, some countries with more critical scenarios than others but it is a common problem for everybody involved with health, especially for frontline health workers.
With shareMEData we are changing these things, we are providing a cloud based application where health workers can store and access patient medical records from anywhere in the world, all this under a secure web application focused on electronic health records which works across devices.
shareMEData is also spreading the right of the patients to be the owner of their personal health records and help them understand why they should share statistical health information with the rest of the world.

shareMEData is the simplest medical records system, which is focused on storing and retrieving health records by using Internet and big data technologies, it provides a platform for patients and doctors where the creation and searching of records is a fast process and accessible worldwide.
shareMEData also encourages patients to own the medical records and helps patients understand why they should share statistical information with the rest of the world in an open data platform where data is shared via reports with maps and charts without storing names or personal information of the patients.
shareMEData works via Internet, you can access it from anywhere, it also has an in-device local storage in case there isn’t Internet connection and devices can sync up to the application once the Internet connection is recovered.
shareMEData uses big data, artificial intelligence, map reporting and lightweight messaging protocols for a fast data transmission.
In the next 12 months, shareMEData is going to advance the solution from prototype to a commercial release, this process will be led by running pilots in hospitals or clinics and by having a significant number of health workers using the solution as early testers. shareMEData will take actions to scale the solution and expand to more places.
shareMEData is a solution which can be used globally via internet and across devices, the long term vision that shareMEData has is to be used globally, especially in low income countries where most of the time front line health workers do not have any information about the medical records of their patients.
Also the vision for 3 and 5 years for shareMEData is to reduce the costs of storing and accessing medical records for everybody, especially for low income countries.

One of the biggest goals of shareMEData is to provide access to medical records from anywhere, this is possible using Internet, every health worker or patient who has internet will be able to retrieve or add more data to their patients’ medical records. In case of health workers on the frontline, they will be able to store the medical records on their devices when going to places without connectivity, and once the Internet is back the new data will be automatically synced with the application.

We are entrepreneurs and we love research and philanthropy, our team has system engineers with a lot of experience in software development and new technologies like big data and data science, internet of things, artificial intelligence, machine learning and blockchain.
We are convinced that EHR need a big disrupt to make healthcare more accesible to everyone, that is why we are looking for partners and healthcare professionals who can help us succeed on this venture.
shareMEData wants to reduce the costs of healthcare by providing a simple and secure EHR system to health workers and patients, and by giving the possibility to get the patients’ medical records on time when needed from anywhere.
Our revenue model is still in early stage (see summary below), we need Solve partners to help us grow and define the best revenue model for our case.
Nonprofit: The application is free for low income countries, especially where people can’t afford healthcare.
For profit: The application will have low costs for some middle and high income countries, this will help us in the long-term sustainability but it will also help on reducing costs of healthcare in those countries.
Our work will be advanced by the following:
- Meet and connect with investors and cross-sector leaders to create partnerships
- Grow exposure
- Advance our solution with experience of Solve advisors.
- Help us get mentors and help on partnership and action plan for financial needs.
Some electronic health records systems are too complicated to use, many health workers don’t want to adopt those because of that, Solve is a trusted source to help us show health workers that electronic health records systems can be simple and easy to use.
Solve can help us demonstrate the benefits that entire humanity will have if patients own their data and start to be accountable for it and are willing to share statistical information with the rest of the world.
