Lakes of Summerville GA
The Lakes of Summerville GA original intent was to create a resort-style health and wellness community. After months of due diligence we realized we had a greater purpose, to be a comprehensive & inclusive community that focused on educating & providing sustainable, energy efficient homes through modern day technology. More specifically, the Lakes of Summerville GA is committed to educating the Summerville Community & surrounding communities on the importance of becoming self sufficient. We teach community members & communities how to use technology, build their own energy efficient homes, grow their own food & live in a regenerative, sustainable, eco friendly way. The Lakes of Summerville is uniquely different and one of very few communities that focuses on health, wealth, sustainability & self-sufficiency. The Lakes of Summerville cares about it's community member’s complete well-being and we are committed to meeting the UN's Sustainability Goals.
The Lakes of Summerville GA solves 3 specific problems. First, we solve problems related to affordable housing by teaching individuals how to build & construct their own sustainable & energy efficient home. Second, we solve problems related to food shortages by teaching community members how to grow their own food. Third, we solve problems related to the environment by teaching communities & surrounding communities how to live in a way that is regenerative & sustainable.
Our solution is simple. We acquire land & bring community members together by teaching them how to build their own homes, grow their own food & live in a more sustainable way. We use a wide variety of technology such as the internet to run our online community, Solar to power to run our physical community & our plan is to use the Build On Demand2 3D Construction printer to construct modern homes. Our goal is to teach people how to live in a more self-sufficient & sustainable manner.
The Lakes of Summerville GA is located on the Historic Native American Trail of Tears. The target population is the indigenous people in the Summerville community. The Lakes of Summerville is a comprehensive, all inclusive community that aims to preserve the history of the Native American Tribes & History of Summerville Georgia. We hold events, work one on one & work tirelessly to build relationships with the community members so that we may better understand the needs of the commuinty.
- Provide healthy and sovereign food, sustainable energy, and safe water
The problem, solution, and target population described by our organization are well-aligned to both the challenge and the selected dimension. Affordable, sustainable housing & teaching individuals how to become self sufficient is a worldwide challenge. The Lakes of Summerville GA is committed to overcoming these challenges & developing communities that will meet the UN’s sustainability goals.

- A new business model or process that relies on technology to be successful
Our solution is not an active or past participant in another entrepreneurship network. Our solution takes an innovative approach to providing solutions that will help overcome challenges in affordable housing & food shortages. We plan to use new & improved technology such as the Build On Demand 2 3D Construction Printer to construct homes. This technology provides a significantly improved approach to construction. We also plan to implement 100% renewable energy by using solar panels, constructing insulated homes with improved thermal heating/cooling which will produce homes with a zero carbon footprint. Solar energy is an abundant resource to maximize energy efficiency and save costs.
Our Solve Solution is based on new & existing technology. The technology that we plan to use is the BOD2 3D Construction Printer. The BOD2 construction printer is a NEW BUILD on Demand construction printing tool that is revolutionizing the cost to construct homes. The BOD2 uses recycled materials & there are endless opportunities when it comes to green construction projects. The second aspect of technology is solar energy which is a natural and renewable power source.
The development of affordable yet sustainable homes that utilize clean solar energy technologies will have huge longer-term benefits. It will increase our community’s' energy security through reliance on an indigenous, inexhaustible, and mostly import-independent resource, enhance sustainability, reduce pollution, lower the costs of mitigating climate change, and keep fossil fuel prices lower than otherwise.
Our solution involves technology that is not yet widely used and accepted. 3D construction printing is new and requires professionals to be trained in its use. With the rising cost of lumber & concerns regarding the environment, 3D Construction Printing & Solar energy are expanding worldwide and becoming an increasingly important part of the affordable housing & energy mix in many countries. The Lakes of Summerville is faced with 2 obvious risk. The first risk is climate and weather risk: Risk of changes in electricity generation due to lack of sunshine or snow covering solar panels for long periods of time.
To mitigate this risk we plan to use batteries where we can store energy during the period of excess and use it when the weather is not favorable.
The second risk is Sabotage, terrorism and theft risk: Risk that all or parts of the solar park will be subject to sabotage, terrorism or theft and thus generate less electricity than planned.
To mitigate this risk we plan to utilize high security systems that will minimize such risk.
In simple terms, we expect the Lakes of Summersville Georgia community to have an impact on the problems surrounding affordable housing and food shortages because our community will serve as a model for educating people on how to develop sustainable, self-sufficient communities all across the world. Our initiative utilizes modern day technology to provide affordable energy efficient housing while teaching people valuable skills such as how to grow their own food and use computer technology.

We currently work with 7 families. Once our community is fully developed we will be able to work 93 families simultaneously. We hope to continue our efforts and have nation wide coverage within the next five years.
Our impact goals for the next year is to provide sustainable housing, food and education to 93 families. Our 5 Year impact goal is to provide sustainable housing, food and education to 1000 families.
We are measuring progress towards our impact goals by continuously assessing the families that we work with & provide services to. Our measurement strategy is to help families meet as many of the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as possible by eliminating poverty, hunger, providing an environment which promotes good health and well-being, quality education, clean water and sanitation, affordable and clean energy, decent work, economic growth, industry innovation & infrastructure, reduced inequality, sustainable cities and communities, responsible consumption and production, climate action, peace, justice, and partnerships
Financial barriers currently exist which bar us from accomplishing our goals. Our current development will cost approximately 5 million dollars to complete yet the development provides sustainable housing and an opportunity for 93 families to become completely self-sufficient. The development will also serve as an educational hub that will be utilized to teach other people how to create and develop sustainable communities. The $5 million dollars is well worth the economic investment however we are facing financial challenges along the way which prevents us from completing our initiative as fast as we would like.
To launch the commencement of the company’s programs, as well as maintaining forward operations, adequate funding is needed. All potential avenues to funding will be approached, to achieve funding will involve soliciting a bank loan, approaching third-party investors, or applying for open lines of credit. We intend to leave the options open to see that all the services highlighted for each of the subsidiaries come to fruition
We also intend to keep offering our customers good services so that we would be one step ahead of our competitors
