Cultivating Tech-verified Trust (CTT)
“Opportunities are disguised as hard work, so most people do not recognize them." This quote by Ann Landers highlights the importance of action. Africa missed the opportunity to learn, use, and improve technologies that would enable communication and accountability to build trust among locals and the world. The lack of internet, seed money, and accessible marketplace also made life difficult.
Because of this, we propose TV Whitespace for rural connectivity and blockchain-based financing and marketplaces for secured and instant value transactions without the need for a third party. We also propose a collective self-insurance system to absorb losses from market failure by utilizing the “iddir’ concept. Lastly, empowering Africa’s educated youth through their access to technology will assist in the implementation of our solution. Blockchain will bring the best out of humanity by matching problems with solutions around the world to create abundance.
We are solving the lack of Trust, Financing, and Digital Identity that is needed for trustworthy value transactions, access to markets, and opportunities. Effectively breaking barriers of learning, innovation, and creativity to utilize available local & indigenous resources with a primary focus on people in Africa villages and their families that make up 80% of Africa's economy and livelihood.
The lack of Trust is global but it is severe in developing countries as there are limitations both in technology and systems to enforce rules. The accessibility of free and open source technology for all makes a paradigm shift to solve world challenges as big solutions can come from individuals who live in remote and marginalized places since blockchain as a system has created a platform to access resources that would be impossible for an ordinary individual.
“Opportunities multiply as they are seized.” Colin Wilson. This is true when such project ideas are implemented in Africa. Kids, youth, and adults both women and men in less developed rural areas benefit greatly and it also gives opportunities for the entire world to help, collaborate, empower, and transact. Learning, trade, and innovation will flourish with the presence of enabling and empowering ecosystems to all via the opportunities presented. Local products will be sold easily to existing and new markets, access to finance, investment capital, and international market will fuel innovations and innovators would provide more job opportunities. The availability of the internet facilitates the learning and education system.
The group writing this proposal shares a common vision to empower Africa. This team kept updated with information and news about Africa to explore and discuss ideas with friends and families in Africa to help solve Africa’s challenges and problems.
Access opens a whole new world and perspective for African youth and helps them achieve their true potential and century-old wisdom which can be nurtured with new ways of communication using Solar for electrification and TV white space for rural connectivity affordably in order to make blockchain reach the marginalized communities.
- Deploying features that use regionally interoperable foundational ID systems and can be accessed across borders, network providers, and languages — allowing workers to receive services and make contributions or withdrawals regardless of origin or location
The lack of trust and the availability of technology that scales are two major challenges for good jobs and inclusive entrepreneurship in Africa. Africa’s villages and locals need to overcome to have vibrant local and cross border trustworthy value transactions and easier collaboration. Unavailability or limited availability of Electricity, Internet service, digital systems, digital literacy, and Digital Identity are areas we are addressing to enable communities in Africa to succeed and benefit from this inclusive digital era.
