Daktari bridges doctors around the world regardless their location. The application will provide basic information regarding common illnesses and how they can be prevented. The application will also offer online video support, where doctors actually talk directly to the patients. At instances where a particular doctor will be unavailable, the patient can contact another doctor majoring in the same field and is online. The app intends to connect all doctors around the world, where they will be able to attend to different patient cases and provide solutions. The app will also have a discussion forum where doctors can actually share knowledge regarding particular illnesses hence ensuring proper medication to patients. Data in the app will help NGO's like World Health Organisation (WHO) in carrying out research around the world. Majorly the app addresses the issue of inaccessibility to hospitals due to long distances and heavy rains, it addresses the issue of cost at it will be reduced, it promotes research as doctors around the world would get to learn of the many diseases that affect people and look for ready solutions for them. It also encourages knowledge sharing as doctors around the world will have a discussion forum that will enhance exchange of ideas thus promoting the quality of services offered in local hospitals. Also middlewomen can be trained on how to use the app so that in cases of emergency they can directly work with support from the doctors in the app online.
