Tutuworld
With a proportion of 71% and 54% of contribution to gross domestic product respectively in Benin and West Africa, the informal sector is the main provider of the economy but also of the job. However, it is clear that the agents of this sector, in particular farmers, have precarious and unsustainable way of life, most of the time forgotten by the social support system. Tutuworld is a platform that aims to create a society without disparities where agents of the informal sector can live decently and migrate to the formal sector, through three services offered. The first is the establishment this virtual community giving them the right to a unique digital identity and a digital mobile account available in 41 most spoken languages in west Africa. The second service is the direct link between the companies with the producers. The third service, is the provision of social support.
With 65% of jobs and a 35% contribution to the GDP in Africa, agriculture is a sector of activity with very high potential. But, farmers are the poorest in West Africa and are not covered by social assistance. After getting registring on this platform, they will not only be able to have a digital identity, a digital bank account but also and above all to be in direct contact with the companies consuming their product without forgetting the social assistance that is offered. Through the solidarity savings system set up here by sector of activity and by small group or cooperatives, agents will have access to equipment modernizing their production and making it profitable, allowing them to move into the formal sector. The subscription to pension savings and miscellaneous insurance will give them a full service in terms of social support for. The case of farmers using this system will benefit from agricultural machinery running on solar panels and expert advice to increase their yield. This platform will be equipped with a fingerprint system and a voice note in 41 local languages not only facilitating data recording for this target population but also making its use very easy.
TuTuWorld is made in particular for farmers without purchasing power, artisans, traders and thousands of new graduates of our universities confronted with the inadequacy of training employment, long neglected by the banking system and social coverage because that having no guarantees cannot developed their production already too archaic. By forming a small group, they will benefit from the support and help of companies that will provide the machinery and equipment necessary to move to intensive production to tackle food dependency. All this with the solidarity savings subscription and the support of sub-regional and international partners. Here technical support has provided them with equipment that does not require special technical knowledge. Also the large West African market is open to them via this platform where they can receive orders from individuals and companies. With the subscription to pension insurance and miscellaneous, members will be entitled to a retirement pension with health and education insurance. The adoption of our platform will speed up the process of installing internet networks in remote and hard-to-reach areas as well as improving roads and health systems by the competent authorities.
- Deploying features that promote the continuity of contributions to social insurance schemes from informal sector workers, incorporating behavioral tools that incentivize and encourage financial savings, transparency, and accountability
We are fulfiling the requirement of Mission Billion Challenge since our goal is to deal with social disparities through our platform we propose to revolutionize the informal sector by providing actors with ecological equipment for intensive production open to the large West African market after prior registration. Which digital registration gives them allows them to have a digital identification comprising the telephone number and three letters of the country where they are from; to a digital mobile account; direct liaison with businesses, technical and material support for businesses and social insurance.
- Idea: A plan or concept by an individual or organization.
- A new business model or process
TuTuWorld is the only platform offering the unique digital identification of all actors in the informal sector, in particular farmers, for the creation of a West African market where farmers not only have the right to make available the tools to make their production intensive but also to social assistance. Without considerable purchasing power, farmers cannot take out large loans to develop and expand their businesses. By registering on the platform, they benefit in addition to the aforementioned service from a unique digital identification which would facilitate exchanges between government and individuals if necessary; a mobile account (available on the communications numbers of existing mobile networks). with functionality in 41 of the most widely spoken languages in West Africa, the mostly illiterate target population will quickly be won over. The application equipped with the Ionic system which from a single code generates sources compiled respectively on the different platforms. As the connection to the internet is not widespread, the application is functional online as well as offline. Without forgetting the great opportunity of the endowment of the communities of the transformation factories of the community productions via the community solidarity savings subscription.
Contributing to a proportion of 71.6% of the GDP in Benin and 54.7% in sub-Saharan Africa, the informal sector, headed by farmers, suffers from an organizational failure to move towards the formal. The demand therefore exists and will receive support from this mass long neglected. Also the idea has been acclaimed by various authorities in charge of the issue that I have encountered personally. The establishment of our landing page to collect the opinion of the spokespersons of this segment of the population for a long time left behind also of all the actors of the informal sector reveals to us the expectations that will be met by the establishment of this platform on 11/11/2020 and undoubtedly a very large membership to the Tutuworld platform.
- Software and Mobile Applications
Farmers by registering with TuTuWorld will increase the great demand for internet connection service in hard-to-reach areas thereby accelerating the improvement of the road, health, education and social assistance system by the government. Once registered on the platform, made up of a small group, they will be able to access the tools necessary to develop their production: agricultural machines powered by solar energy, easily manipulated and repaired, without requiring special technical knowledge. With the support of consultants on the platform depending on what is produced and in the production area, they will be able to make their productions profitable. Depending on the subscriptions made, they will be able to benefit from the social insurance service which covers the education of their children, health and retirement pensions. 450 sites have been identified in hard-to-reach areas where internet connection networks hardly exist but high production. Therefore, Huawei technology developed in Ghana with MTN in 2014 which program called Ruralstar would be deployed on these identified sites to allow them access to the internet. We hope to reach 16,540,372 people as a result and with the existing communication and internet networks more than 90 million will be reached by 2022.
Tutuworld by deciding to register all actors in the informal sector (street vendors, shop stalls, artisans (carpenters, masons, mechanics, etc.), domestic services (households, washing, ironing, etc.), food processing (water, juice , dairy products, herbal teas, packaging of food products etc.) actors in the manufacture of kitchen utensils and various materials) to move them to the formal sector, for the achievement of 08 goals of the SDGs. Through its vision of providing communities with local processing units capable of consuming local production to add value, tutuword shifts the power of production to remote areas in order to attract and accelerate the viability of these areas. By focusing on farmers, Tutuworld looks at the provider of 65% of jobs. Important to note that all financial transactions will be done via mobile communication networks. The platform will be equipped with an automatic conversion system to avoid money uniformity problems in West Africa. By creating the largest virtual market, they are empowered to expand their areas of intervention and production.
Tutuworld in its application covers eight th SDGs (No poverty, zero hunger, good health and well-being, Decent and economic work, Reduced inequalities , Sustainable cities and communities , Responsible consumption and production, Life on land, Partnerships for achievement of objectives) of the seventeen objectives of the Sustainable Development Goals to be achieved by 2030. After registration on our platform which gives the right to a unique digital identification with a digital account, expert advice and access to the largest virtual market, beneficiaries can subscribe to one of the three parks. One of the brilliant points of our project lies in park 1 called solidarity subscription which invites beneficiaries to form a small group of three to five people to contribute according to their means (minimum ½ $ per day for a period well-defined) add to the subsidies from our partners and funds received from crodfunding will benefit from equipment to increase their production. The roadside donut seller will benefit from a modernized fireplace powered by solar panels. The farmer will be entitled to a complete tractor powered by solar panels. The last two parks offer a subscription to have access to a retirement pension, payment for children's education and health care. Through its application adaptable to any kind of mobile device, incorporating a fingerprint and voice note in 41 languages most spoken in West Africa Tutuworld appears as the opportunity of the century whose application will not only emerge from the millions of people in precariousness with assiduous social support.
Our solution is based on a platform equipped with a website, an ultra secure web server to host the personal data recorded and a mobile application with the Ionic system making it adaptable to any type of mobile device, equipped with 'a voice note and fingerprint system. In perfect harmony with the Mobile Money platforms of mobile communications networks, exchanges and transfers will take place there.
Available in 41 most widely spoken languages in West Africa, and equipped with the fingerprint system, this would prevent the target population, most of them illiterate, from accessing and using our application without a hitch. with the technology implemented by Huaewei in 2014 in Ghana in collaboration with MTN, we hope to reach the most remote areas without internet connection.

Scheduled to be launched on 11/11/2020, Tutuworld will see a membership of 200,000 people in 2020. From street vendors, shop stalls, artisans (carpenters, masons, mechanics, etc.), domestic services (households, washing, ironing, etc.), food processing (water, juice, dairy products, herbal teas, packaging of food products etc.) to the actors in the manufacture of kitchen utensils and various materials, they are all invited to use our platform to reach 286,000,000 users by 2025. With our unique strategy of moving actors from the informal sector to the formal sector through solidarity subscription with the help of our partners; also the measures taken by the governments for the improvement of the Internet connection in West Africa, this workforce can be reached without incident.
Tutuworld aims to reach the greatest number of users from all sides of the informal sector to offer them a viable way of life where they can not only hold a unique digital identifier but also be endowed with the means to expand their activity without forget about the social assistance system that will accompany them. Reaching in particular a greater number of farmers in areas with difficult access to the internet with high agricultural production rates to attract improved sanitation, education and servicing. By developing our crowdfunding system, we only plan to cover the entire West African region, switch to the use of Tutucoin electronic money without forgetting the endowment of local community production factories by 2025.
The majority of the population targeted by our program is illiterate, which makes it difficult for us. Completely non-existent internet access in some localities. Innovative from all sides, potential members will show reluctance before embarking on the adoption and use of the platform. The glaring lack of road to reach these areas of great brake to reach the greatest number and the most concerned. In 5 years the biggest obstacle would be to convince to use the Tutucoin digital currency. Also how to encourage community solidarity savings for an entire locality, the goal being to see these localities be endowed with processing plants that can transform production.
Tutuworld will be available in 41 of the most widely spoken West African languages to make it easier to use the app without a hitch. Also should be noted the awareness campaign with mobile communication networks, community radios and the work with representatives of organizations from these fringes to make them ambassadors of Tutuworld so that the application is adopted in the most remote corners of Africa. With the domicilingof their mobile accounts on mobile money accounts available throughout the sub-region, a strong adherence would be noted. To reach a large target, we are planning to deploy mini Internet network relay antenna sites that allow people to connect. It is a huawei technology put into practice in Ghana in collaboration with MTN. With the efficiency and advantages (unique digital identifier; mobile digital account, a West African virtual market with all the opportunities that go with it; the provision of tools, programs that will multiply their productions and local transformation units to the communities wishing and calling for the use of electronic money) arouses unparalleled support.

TuTuWorld is this platform offering members, mainly actors of the informal system, assistance that will certainly lead them to the formal. based on a contribution system split into three parks. the first park, which is a solidarity savings subscription, consists of forming a small group so that, once the moment comes to take possession of its sum, it is equipped with instruments to modernize and make profitable its production. The second park concerns the subscription to various insurance which supports the health of the beneficiaries as well as the education of the children and finally the last park which is the subscription to savings for retirement pensions. A very great innovation knowing the disdain which grants to this sector.
- Individual consumers or stakeholders (B2C)
TuTuWorld is attractive not only for its design but also for the services offered never before offered to the market. here, we ask platform members to subscribe to three different parks giving them unprecedented advantages that could not be made available to them without our platform. With the support of the ministries of agriculture and fisheries; trade and small and medium-sized enterprises in West African countries, equipment in line with environmental protection is offered to them to increase and make their production profitable. with the opening of the largest virtual market, the number of members will only increase. The innovative nature of the platform will undoubtedly attract the support of international institutions. We set up a Crowdfunding system
Crowdfunding , subscriptions by beneficiaries individually or by small group and subsidies.
Here we adopt a crowdfunding in the form of crowdequity investment
The intervention takes the form of an equity investment in our company. The investment is in capital: the financier is remunerated in the form of dividends or capital gains realized on the sale of the securities.
the grants will come from our various partners according to the budget line dedicated to the cause we defend
the subscriptions of our beneficiaries depend on the category of the trade (trader, farmer, craftsmen, mechanics, dressmakers, carpenters, etc.)
Important to notify here that the TuTuWorld platform will be launched on 11/11/2020
have to include the valuable data of its users, digital bank accounts functioning and operable via the mobile communication network via the mobile money service and equipped with a system for converting currencies that are not the same in space West African. After the establishment of this gem, a budget of $ 70,000, of which $ 40,000 is dedicated to the promotion of adoption and registration on this platform via community radios, television channels, mobile communication networks, contact in the field with the presidents of their associations for awareness-raising sessions with a view to making them ambassadors of the platform to their peers. a sum of $ 10,000 dedicated to maintenance and a sum of $ 20,000 basic fund for the third service offered by TuTuWorld
There are three fundamental reasons for participating in the West Africa Wuri Prize:
The first reason is the evaluation and contribution of expert international experts on our project which will be vital
The second is participation in this challenge program which would allow us to forge links and create a West African network to impact all of Africa.
And finally the last reason is of course this financial contribution for the best innovative project, a fund which would be very capital to increase our tentacles on West Africa.
- Funding and revenue model
Tutuworld is based on solidarity to fight not only cut social disparities but also convert the current agents of the informal sector into agents of the formal sector through our outstanding services. We need several regional and international partnerships
Tutuworld in the same register as Impact investing and social Finance, our partnership turns first to mobile communications networks for the hour the five largest communication networks in West Africa with more than 450,000,000 subscribers with a subscription system based on these networks. The second major partnership is that with the ministries of agriculture and fisheries, trade and small and medium-sized enterprises of the ECOWAS countries, with a view to providing great support to provide a share of subsidies for the equipment that they will receive after solidarity savings. International organizations such as the FAO, the World Bank for their undeniable contribution, not to mention ECOWAS, the African Union, UEMOA, the West African Agricultural Productivity Program (WAAPP).
