Malouda Farms Limited
Our project is committed to do the following
1. Reduce the rate of poverty and unemployment in our society
2. To achieve this, we are introducing a college of agriculture were we'll have pupils enrolled and well equipped with the right kind of knowledge. This college will also serve as a company were agricultural products and materials are produced. Since we discovered that agricultural products are one of the basic needs of our society, we decided to use medium to produce and provide for both our society, Nation, Africa, and possibly the world.
3. Every graduating student will have a 100% chance of being employed in the company except the person rejects the offer. Therefore, with this method we'll be able to both provide education, jobs, and also supply food and other agricultural materials to our society.
Poverty :
Poverty is not new problem. It's terrorized people in many parts of the world but in our society today, it has taken a new step forward - thanks to the covid19 pandemic. To some of our citizens, it's been difficult to afford a meal at this time not to talk of affording quality education. This is what we're determined to solve.
The Scale of the problem :
Majorly, it has been unemployment. This period here in Cross River State has seen many workers dropped by the government and some private companies and has had a negative impact on the children, youths, our parents, and everyone involved.
People affected :
At least over 70% of the people in our society are affected.
Factors contributing to the problem :
Little or no access to livelihoods or job, inequality, poor education, Lack of infrastructure, and limited capacity of the government.
Regional statistics :
Stat collected here in Ugep, Cross River State.
Ketabebe has about 65% currently unemployed.
Ijom has about 43% unemployed.
Ntamkpo has about 80% unemployed.
Asigha has about 50% unemployed.
Ekori has about 40% unemployed persons.
There are over two hundred and sixty thousand people Yakurr Local Government Area of which 60% of them are currently unemployed. They are both indegines and residents. Most of them survive through selling of food stuff while some others live off their farm produce. My quest to understanding them and their needs began in 2016 when I started holding seminar/meetings with - majorly - the youths. Our initial goal was to end violence and cultism. But as time goes on, I discovered that their arrogance was as a result of feeling rejected by the government. Immediately I decided to talk to them on how to develop themselves, workout a good future, and not always depend on the government for everything. Some of them are already engaging themselves in one business or the other and some making use of their farmlands to earn a living. With most of them being university graduates, these has really not been easy, but it's working. Violence and cultism is an enemy of development. This solution will keep them busy, help them earn a living, and allow the community to steadily develop.

The Mission Billion Challenge WURI West Africa Prize has been introduced to help, support and improve the lives of persons in our various societies, and with the people in this part having such low confidence in themselves, our solution have given them a much needed boost and has helped them believe in a better future. We believe that this is the mission of the Mission Billion Challenge WURI West Africa Prize and we are proud to be an arm of this wonderful organization in reaching out to the people.
- Idea: A plan or concept by an individual or organization.
- A new business model or process
Our solution may look familiar because it is about agriculture but the unique thing about it is that it is also about human developments and establishments. Our solution is innovative in that it presents the people in our societies an opportunity to both acquire education and also get a good job. The only major challenge we have is the who now own over 85% of the companies that deals on agriculture but still struggle in the area of employment and payment of workers and that has really affected our production level in this part of the world. But our solution brings something different to what the government gives in the area of agriculture. We're determined to educate, equip, and establish our citizens.
Our solution is proposing a new business model and this is how it works;
First we establish a college of agriculture and make applications open to all. While the students will have days of class room learning, they'll also have days of practical excisice and that's when we do our productions. The college will have various departments like the marketing department, accounting department, etc. in doing this we will both educate our pupils, provide for our society, and also pay our bills.
- Manufacturing Technology
The big challenge we have in our society is lack of job and the people are so dependent on the government. We want to help the people to discover and establish their potentials so that they can stop being to dependent on the government.
Our solution is focused on improving the lives of our citizens which is also the goal and objective of the Mission Billion Challenge WURI West Africa. We'll happily and humbly obey every rule and will always be ready to be called upon whenever our service is required.
Our project is committed to bettering our society and we're open to doing new things. We're accessible and friendly; not restricted to just some set of persons, we're open to everyone.
Our solution presents us an opportunity to establish a college which goes well with the education project of our nation. And in our quest to provide food for our society, we have access to working with the food supply agency. Thirdly, we'll be joining forces with the government to reduce the rate of unemployment in our society.
Our solution is open to all people and every environment. it doesn't require experience before you begin, you can have little or no experience I doesn't really matter because you'll learn all you need to learn then get started.
- Poor
- Nigeria
Our project is currently new and we're looking at reaching out to 50000 people in one year. We are focused on reaching out to 250000 people in five years.
Our goal within the next year and the next five years is to reduce the rate of unemployment and end poverty in our society.
The only barrier now is on the financial area. if there's money every other equipment will be acquired
The first few years of our establishment we will be determined to make excess productions and sale at affordable prices in other to raise some money and balance our financial strength.
- Not registered as any organization
There are 87 people currently working on our solution team
Full-time staff - 24
Part-time staff - 27
Other workers - 36
Our team is good at reaching out to the people, knowing their way of life, needs, and working on how better and improve their lives
We are currently not partnering with anyone but we're looking forward to doing so as soon as we begin this project.
- Individual consumers or stakeholders (B2C)
It's a combination of all.
Sustained donations and grants, selling products or services, and raising investment capital.
Our solution will really need some huge amount of money for it to get started; so, we will humbly ask for a grant of $100000
We are applying for the Mission Billion Challenge WURI West Africa Prize to help bring a better life to our society. Poverty and unemployment is a great challenge and is seen as a barrier to the development of our society. And we're looking forward to putting an end to that challenge.
- Funding and revenue model
In the near future, we would like to partner with the government in our bid to make our society a better place.
