Jobango
The wealth of a nation is not only in its produced capital or natural resources, its in its people. Its in their skills, and their knowledge. Jobango sees all people with infinite capabilities to achieve and empower themselves to create their own opportunities. However, we know that access to opportunity and the tools to sustain that access is limited around the world.
Jobango prompts users to list universal skills based on their capability that we feel most people can do lifting a box, painting, mowing a garden and specialist skills if they have any. They can also list job types and this is then matched against a database of practical jobs within the users location and their availability. Users then have a chance to engage with employers through a video /chat function and once they have completed their job they can bank their money which shows in the e wallet dashboard.
For people on low income or informal workers there is a lack of consistent income availability because there is no market to access jobs in real time according to the hour of the day and price which is applicable for for practical work applications. There is no real efficient way of searching of part time work and being able to transact securely and efficiently nand a large majority of informal workers are unbaked. Jobango provides a market place for universal skills, the ability to manage employment and track/ bank their earnings.
Jobango wants to be an open and transparent platform for the benefit of human beings but focus on the security of those with the right to work. Through our Biometric verification users can scan their ID, add their bank card ( or utilise our own system) and take a photo of their faces which will match across databases in each location. The way this platform is structured, will allow authorities to track and investigate all human trafficking and will prevent the exploitation of labour whilst giving people an ability to become banked without the need for an address.
People on low income, informal workers, self employed persons and people to people jobs.
The ability to bank, the ability to earn and the ability to have access to manage jobs is complex in informal settings. In a networked ecosystems these aspects can be integrated together to create a holistic market place for employment. We came up with a design which is accessible for all levels of skills and allows people to up-skill into practical applications.
The application works across cultures and across languages. Its is incredibly simple to use and a person can gain a potential to earn in three simple steps. This platform provides equity in-order to enable access to jobs but also provides an automated support framework to ensure that people who are unskilled can manage their money and find gainful employment. Utilising biometic data we are able to verify those who are displaced without the need for a home enabling them an opportunity to bank and enhance their lives. Each user has a unique authentication code which is confirmed against their facial ID, the voice and we can use key stroke detection. Matching these together means we can verify a users account.
- Deploying features that use regionally interoperable foundational ID systems and can be accessed across borders, network providers, and languages — allowing workers to receive services and make contributions or withdrawals regardless of origin or location
Jobango can deliver real change by creating a new market for universal skill type jobs. With its integrated CRM system we allow users to manage employment. Through our e wallet dashboard users can track their earnings and eventually bank their income in a safe and secure way which will encourage savings and spending. Jobango utilises secure biometric data which ensures the safety of each worker and ensures no workers will be exploited.
Jobango will give people the tools to create their own opportunities.
- Prototype: An individual or organization building and testing a product, service, or model.
- A new application of an existing technology
Jobango has been designed to benefit its users by allowing users to work on real time jobs listed by time or location (especially useful in the current pandemic COVID19 environment). For employers it reduces the overhead costs by 15% and allows anyone to list a job opening up a channel of people to people jobs. The way jobango is design it sees people as having infinite capabilities. In its infancy it recognises universal skills people can adopt across industries but allows people to rapidly train in to job tasks rather than career pathways meaning they can shift across organisations.
When designing jobango we recognised this issue of displacement and banking. Often banks use home addresses in order to verify a person therefore most banked populations are median income earners. We change this by utilising bio metric data ( facial visualisation) matched with a birth certificate or any registered ID. The users data is then given a unique code which works like a lock and synthesis key and throughout their time as a user this code is theirs. For those with access to only one mobile phone it means multiple members from one family can login and log out and become banked in three simple clicks.
Whats also unique about Jobango is it enables a rewards based earning system which gamifys employment. These rewards are called Bango points which exchange like currency and can be spent or banked.
Jobango builds on existing solutions like payments systems, job platforms and mobile banking. These are tried and tested systems with high levels of fraud mitigation and control. Usually these are isolated and not one singular isolated solution. However, with its designed Jobango has streamlined these traditional products to create a simple and easy process for anyone around the world to use.
Payment systems
- The payment system is a faster payment integration between our Job listing server and our e wallet. The data reconciles immediately issuing a token when the user gets paid, this token then is available to view in the e-wallet. Stripe is a key payment processing supplier we can use.
Biometric facial recognition
Face Recognition is a secure and user-friendly feature that uses multiple facial data points to accurately authenticate end users, and next generation liveness detection to block hacker spoofing techniques.simple enrolment process, the face recognition option enables users to take multiple selfies to generate a highly accurate biometric template which is then encrypted and retained. A user then scans their ID and a unique user code is generated.
We will start BETA testing in September in Jersey and we should have actionable results.

Without Covid19, the global economy faced challenging trends similar to that of 1979. Global sovereign wealth in nations around the world were falling below consumer debt, with corporate earning decreasing and productivity levels plateauing and the onset of the derivatives market bubble popping, an economic recession was inventible. As the economy struggles, the upper and lower classes bulge, while the middle class is squeezed. The middle class feels an increased pinch leading to economic polarisation. Meaning that only highly skilled workers will retain jobs and middle to low income workers will now have to shift across industries.
We live in a society where open innovation is readily available due to technological advances. The capitalization of knowledge in an open society means that as knowledge becomes more generalist, many more people have access to this knowledge. Job tasks which require little or no skill, can be fulfilled by a number of people. Skills such as manual labour, cleaning, driving, warehouse operatives can be done by one person with a multiple range skill set. These skills are not specific to one person and people can acquire these skills rapidly. Additional skills can also be provided through learning and development. Key focus needs to be on developing new ways in which people can earn and learn.
In order to enable equality we need equity in the form of a platform to open up access to opportunities in a way that is secure, safe and reliable and which can be adopted across cultures. Jobango gives people a market for opportunity, the tools to sustain learning, to manage jobs, to earn and to be able to transact but also secures each users right to work reducing trafficking and the exploitation of labour.
For people in low income, who are self employed and part time workers there is a lack of consistent income availability because there is no market to access jobs in real time according to the hour of the day and price. There is no real efficient way of searching of part time work and being able to transact securely and efficiently. Jobango provides an opportunity to rapidly democratise the job market and enable all people with the tools to create their own opportunities while acting as a network to support their growth.
If we look at Jobango as an ecosystem it supports the development of universal skills which can be applied across industry, like lifting a box, painting a wall, waiting tables, agricultural picking etc it allows the user to grow and harness more skills whilst gaining recommendations enhancing their comparability. The ability to up skill through the platform and train into practical jobs like baristas, means that without any skills a person can garner new skills an engage in social mobility in harsh environments. Our automated systems provide a support network for their growth and our banking system allows the user to gain purchasing power. For those who are in poverty this is an easier way to gain access to repeat employment in a safe and reliable way.
As a company we advocate for the right of all human beings to have equal access to opportunities but also for each persons basic human rights.
Jobango was design was centred around BOP users looking at how we could create an app for people with relatively little literacy. We mostly use universal icons which can change in each country the app can be adopted across nations relatively easily.
The app is incredibly simple to use and our product releases are in various stages to habituate to the user and grow ass the user grows. For anyone with a smart mobile the user can earn and become banked in three simple clicks whilst ensuring the validity of their right to work.
Jobango is an integrated system which can be linked via API with government systems for database checks for ID verification. In the UK a very similar GOV ID process takes place.
Jobango can also links via API to a local banking partner.
For social protection Jobango gives people equity in order to enable equality in one streamlined process.
The platform is an open platform.
For a user in a household where there is only one mobile phone a user gets a single code which is attached to their biometric data. This user can login and out of their account and their banking is linked only to them. This is important as in the future we hope to be able to open EPOS systems in stores where a users face can be scanned and they can withdraw cash at any kiosk using their biometric data.
This is really important as most banks require a formal address to prove identity. We can integrate with a users existing bank, government verification or simply use their biometric data.
The app is designed simply and for use across cultures meaning that it can work in each culture universally. We mostly use icons.
We have product launch phases which will need to be tested at each stage.

Ultimate goal
We hope to reinvest back into areas which give equity to enable equality
Reinvestment focus ( disaster recovery and climate change mitigation, food secuity and supply chain integration/ transparency, digital health care, disease prevention, water security).
Economically we are globally sitting in a similar period to 1979. If sovereign wealth starts falling below consumer debt ( which it has already started in some nations) we could enter depression. Trickle down theory doesn't work and GDP is not an adequate measure for productivity. The current stimulus that we are seeing in terms of quantitative easing will only sustain the economy it will not change. We need equity in the form of technology to bridge the gap of inequality but also because if we don't the levels of poverty we will see in the next 10 years will never have been seen in our lifetime. Millions of people will starve. If we enter a depression the surge of users could become a strain on our systems.
2)Banking and compliance.
3)Corruption , fraud, control
1) We need to ensure our systems can handle surges. JT telecommunications is a satellite network owned in Jersey which should be able to help us achieve this. Work with partners to ensure we can provide tailored solutions.
( note* Jersey is where we have been accepted to an incubator programme. We are moving our holding company to Jersey. Our company is registered in England)
2)The app MVP at the moment works like a dashboard so it can go universal without the need for compliance. In each nation we then have to work with banking partner to have a banking licences.
3) We have a complete risk and control framework.
- For-profit, including B-Corp or similar models
We aim to have a portion of each transaction going towards a reinvestment fund.

Jobango at seed will look to raise ( 2,934,489.26$ investment) £2,276,439.03 in order to enable Jobango to place 2,440,922 workers into 117,164,250 jobs provided by our platform, generating £40m (Gross Revenue). This forecast is representative of our estimated 21% market capture of the total part-time work available in the UK after three years. However, as there is a downward trend in some industries with regard to job listings available due to COVID, we have adjusted the market by a conservative 40%. We are, therefore, utilising 21% of a 60% market. A market increase in some industries has not been accounted for, nor has the amount of workers switching between industries or going from full time work or unemployment to part time work.
( The business model is applicable across nations so in Ghana for example there are around 13.5 million applicable informal workers. at 20% of the market 2,6m users working an average of 12 hours per week at £8.21 is our benchmark over five years. Reduction at 40% due to shrinking middle market is £153m turn over over a five year period

It is our mission, as a company, to give people the tools to create their own opportunities. Although giving people the tools to create their own opportunities is a great incentive, we are aware that opportunity is not always equal and thus by giving equity in the shape of a holistic platform, we can enable access to opportunity and facilitate opportunity within a self sustaining ecosystem. We have an opportunity to impact peoples lives for the better and help people out of poverty.
Until consumers regain their purchasing power, Companies will have to take extra measures to build strong relationships with their audience. While the wait for a rebound in the economy continues, the middle class, however, is simultaneously shrinking. Strategic sustainability measures for companies will mean they will analyse the highest cost output which is usually the cost of staffing resulting in mass lay offs by firms. As with recessionary economics, this will lead to the inflation of the cost of goods meaning even those that stay in the middle market will need to increase their discretionary income. Employers in the future will have to look for alternative ways of hiring staff without the cost, but retaining the value.
Jobango presents an opportunity to help people, business and governments around the world to enhance the livelihoods of each citizen. We feel we can create meaningful change across Africa which can encourage digital inclusion but also enable a next generation to harness opportunities through technology.
